  • Good thing my Clem never met him.

  • I'm being honest when I'm saying that I'd be happy to see Clem's story take on the idea of finding love in a horrific situation. As we all know, moments of happiness, levity and sensitivity only make the rest of the story's barbarism, savagery, cruelty and nightmarish brutality all the more effective. And it really is more "realistic" than a story where people are single-mindedly determined on violence and selfishness - if the real world was like that, why would so many people be in committed relationships and having children?

A love story between growing children, with death, torture, mental anguish, extremely graphic violence, sexual trauma, cannibalism, and misery galore. Too 'edgy' for some, but I'd be eager to play that kind of game!

  • I think the reason we don't want Clem to have a boyfriend is because we see her as a daughter.

Ghost Lee: I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that and give you a chance to walk away.

Gil: Look Lee, she's gonna have to one anyway.

Ghost Lee: Smashes Gil up against the wall ME AND THAT GIRL HAVE BEEN THROUGH HELL TOGETHER, ANYONE WHO TRIES TO GET BETWEEN US ARE GONNA END UP DEAD. YOU HEAR ME?

    Gil: Got it......

  • I just see her as a kid who's growing up - a younger sister to empathize with, a child whose position I could imagine myself in, a daughter who I'd want to teach. A story about a little girl coming of age in a world where the horror of the dead reanimating to cannibalize the living is one that I'd love to see play out further.

Playing as a boy who interacts with Clem as an equal, or choosing whether or not to trust him as Clem, or even just playing as a third-party (Christa?) who's struggling to come to terms with the fact that Clem is no longer a child, would be a great step in that story.

  • I'd go for that, laughing at the jimmies of many young men being rustled. Have any of you guys ever had crushed on a pretty teacher, or nurse, or older person? It's perfectly natural.

I find the male perspective on the sexualities of girls to be interesting in some way.

  • At this point she's 11. In a couple of years, however, possibly in Season 4, she'd be an adolescent and therefore the story of her growing sexuality would be something that should be explored.

Particularly because I know it'll make a lot of guys uncomfortable. :D

  • Oh, that'll be the day when the Rule 34 creeps will become a lot more prevalent. (Although I find it interesting that Sarah and Becca haven't ever been sexualized...)

And I'm just trying to look at things from a young girl's perspective. So far she's been focused almost exclusively on survival. If future Seasons allow her to take a moment to stop and possibly live in a community - be it Wellington, Howe's, or an entirely new place - the time may arise for her to think about other things...

Or as another man's lover. Girlfriend. Wife. Mother. Grand-mother. Christa, Sarita and Katjaa were all daughters at one point.

Heh. Perhaps this series will conclude with Clementine reaching adulthood and deciding whether or not it's worth taking the risks that Rebecca and Christa took. By that time, it'll have been a decade since the dead first arose and the world will likely be in a drastically different shape.

  • What? How did you even get the idea of that? It was to show that Clem has gone through much by showing how different another kid close to her age being innocent. It reminds me of something duck might've said.

  • Like I said, until she has "Woman spots" Ain't nothing gonna happen.

  • I got that sense too. Clem's reaction makes it seem like she had no idea how to respond to a boy her age giving her a compliment - since she's probably never even met children her age in years. She's grown up too fast, ending the scene with a gun in one hand and a baby in the other. Gill has neither of those two things.

Hopefully she'll learn how to relate to them again...

  • I never saw it as shipping. Because it implies the feeling was mutual. It was a young girl discovering her first crush and not seeing whats wrong with it. Was naive and cute. And it was funny watching Luke squirm. Nothing more was meant by it when I chose those options. Clem still gets to be a kid about some things and not seeing whats wrong about this is one of those things I decided to give her.

  • Heh heh...I know a lot of guys empathized with Lee because Clem was designed to be the perfect daughter. (Or little sister, back when the game was originally going to be about being her big brother.)

Which is why I'd be happy to have her mature and get a boyfriend so that the boys will all freak out!

Reminds me of another friendly face act-cannibalistic family in season 1 or final boss

  • Unfortunately, that's what happens when you have multiple endings.

I'd be interested in seeing Edith and Randy's family in Season 3, even if players never met them in the endings they chose. At the very least, Clementine meeting a boy her age would be something I'd find dramatic potential in.
