  • I covered him. If Bonnie hadn't put upwards of 100 pounds of her own body weight onto the breaking ice under Luke, maybe he would've made it.

Also, did you help or cover Luke? I honestly did not know what to do at first. I covered Luke because he seemed pretty confident in what he was saying.

  • Lee's death is the only one that really bummed me out. Everyone else was either, meh I don't care or that sucked but time to move on.

    Luke.

    'I'd come back for you..."

"Thank you Clem, I'd do the same"

And later on I went back for him, and he came back for me saving Clem from that walker underwater.l Fuck... just.. Luke was such a fucking bro.

So first you didn't agree to “corny deaths” now it's an insult to the writers. K

I hope the writers have enough sense to understand that maybe they've failed to write a single character that isn't corny, it's not really an insult if it's the truth, however this becomes a matter of personal opinion it seems, so who knows maybe they are top notch, Shakespeare level but then again maybe not, btw Hamlet now that's not a corny character to me at least.

This reminds me of something I respect that Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz said, she appreciates more the ones that critique her rather than the ones that applaud her. The game is not shitty even with the corny characters, it's interesting, at least more than most.

I won't apologize to the writers or anyone if they feel offended because of exercising my right of free speech and my right of not liking whatever I do not like. Cheers.

I think it's kind of an insult to the writers at Telltale to say that they've failed to write a single character that isn't corny.

  • Season 1: Kenny (When we all thought he was dead) and Lee

Season 2: Luke.....and well....thats pretty much it, everyone else kinda hit me as well but Luke's hit me the most

I think Kenny's death was the most depressing part. I didn't like the fact that Luke died though :( Then when you see the ending with Kenny when you arrive in Wellington you kind of feel bad for shooting him the first time.

  • Definitely Lee's death. The best god damn urban ever.

  • Season 1: Kenny and Lee

Season 2: Luke( Kenny lived in mai game)

    Season 1: Lee

Lee's death scene hit me the hardest out of pretty much any other video game death scene I've ever seen. In fact, it might be the only scene in any media, be it movie or tv show or video game, that made me cry the way I did.

No death in season 2 made me cry. The whole season was kind of meh for me and I didn't feel even a smidgen of the emotion I felt throughout season one.

However, of that season, Luke's death was the saddest. It was just so out of nowhere and he protected Clementine until the end. I just really didn't expect him to go out like that, especially since everyone was thinking for the longest time that he'd be one of the last characters or even survive the whole season. He was a true bro, which I knew throughout even when everyone was bashing him.

Kenny's death just made me relieved. I've said it on here before but I've never been a Kenny fan. I saw his true colors on the very first playthrough of season one of TWD and whenever Jane mentioned him being dangerous, I knew exactly what she was talking about and agreed. Not that she was much better. I'm just glad that I don't have to deal with Kenny anymore and that he's finally gone for good. He took over the entire second season and I really hated him even more for that.

  • Besides Lee, Luke, all the "major" deaths, one that hit me hard was Omid's death. Him being such a nice, funny character.....it's almost as if his death symbolized a loss of innocence for Clem and in a way, the end of hope. It was a brutal way to kick off Season 2.

  • Sam the Dog has more votes than Ben. I'm just saying.

  • Lee hands down

  • I can't pick just one :(

  • Season 1: Lee's death. Absolutely devastating

Season 2: Luke. I'll admit, I didn't always like him, but NO ONE deserved to die the way he did.

  • Certainly Lee's death because his isn't just the death, it's the death of the player character, and at the same time, now Clementine is alone in zombie-ridden Savanna.

Sarah's was pretty horrible, too, and Luke's was sad and just so ... sudden. Carlos' death was wrenching mainly because of the way Sarah cried that staggered and tortured "no".

  • I know how you feel, it disturbed me to the point where I don't want to replay that scene ever again :( I think the sounds of the dog suffering were the worst part of it for me.

Honestly.....Sam the dog. When he died I cried my eyes out. I'm a animal lover so it kills me when I see one suffering. Fake or not.

  • I probably should've put Andy St. John. Hearing him shout Lee's name while you walk away from him was chilling.

    And DAT MUSIC.

    Season 1: Lee

    No need for an explanation.

    Season 2: Luke

While the death didn't make me cry or anything, it was shocking since it was so sudden. Plus the way he died... it was such a frustrating situation with the ice and then... my Clem fell down in the water too and Luke's last action was to save her from a walker and then I had to watch when he was dragged down to the bottom by it. I was... speechless.

  • definietly Ben ... naah just kidding, Lee of course

  • edited August 2014

Every time when I listen this music, I have in front of the eyes all that common moments with Lee and Clem, especially last scene when she have to kill him ... so emotional ... I had too watch again that.

  • Season 1: Lee

Lee dying was absolutely devastating, since it's just the fact that a little girl is losing the only person she has leftvand she can't do anything about it but end his misery.

    Season 2: Luke and Kenny

Luke's death surprised everyone and saddened everyone, as he is helpless to do anything but slowly drown. Just watching him try and swim away was hard to watch.

Kenny: Listening to him talk about how Clem did the right thing, how he is scared of dying and how Clem is goods for a smile made me burst into tears.

  • Well both of mine comes from season 1...... I was really bummed when Carly got popped. .. it happened so fast. The other wasn't really a death but in episode 2 season 1 ....finding that guy upstairs with no legs was pretty damn shocking

  • Season 1 : Lee ;_;

    Season 2 : Pete D:

  • Poor Luke ;(

  • Luke and Bonnie's death. I started crying cause Clem did

  • I loved luke and lee to death, but for me it was ben. I thought he might have a chance, and the way he died was brutal, and he died thinking of himself as pathetic. Did anyone else even see his lip quivering? :(

  • Carleys death hit me the hardest, because it came so abrupt without any indication right when I thought that she and Lee are really starting to bond, she dies within the blink of an eye. I rewinded six or seven times to see, if I could avoid her death. I never did that in my original playthrough and stuck with every decision I made, even if I regreted it later. But on that occasion, I had to break my rule. Damn it Lilly, I really hate you!

  • Season 2:Luke (With Omid's in 2nd.)

Season 1:Lee (With Carleys in 2nd)

  • For Season 1 of course Lee. For Season 2 I would say Luke because it was so fast and unexpected. Kenny's death was also very tragic but I didn't shot him in my game.

  • Omid. Five minutes into the first episode of the season and they're already ripping your heart out.

    Season 1: Lee

Season 2: Kenny (I saved him in my playthrough though.)

    Dammit Kenny!

  • Lee in season 1 was just plain sad, as we already knew by the end of episode 4 he was going to die. I couldn't stop crying during that last 20 minutes of episode 5. Easily the saddest death of both seasons

In season 2 it is easily Luke's. To me he felt like the moral compass of the group, always compassionate and caring about his friends. Seeing his terrified expression when the ice cracked under him and as he reached up gasping for air when he was dragged down by that walker was horrific. I didn't cry, I was too shocked to cry. It hit me hard.

  • Even REGGIE got a vote! XD

  • What makes the scene even worse is Clem trying to tell the group right afterwards to "get Luke" ;~;

Luke's, even more so than Lee's. I'm still thinking whether or not I should post in a new thread the reasons that made Luke's death hit me harder than Lee's, the most obvious one being that we knew, from the end of episode 4, that Lee was going to die and we knew it was coming, as for Luke...

Also, IMO the song that plays during Luke's death is the most depressing in the game, perhaps the most depressing one I've ever listened to:
