Ellie v.s Clementine
Hey i dont know if anyone has linked this yet but i found this rap video for Ellie Vs Clementine, it is copying Epic Rap Battles but was still pretty enjoyable to watch.
Now past this video i wanted to talk about Ellie or Clementine and which one i have a stronger emotional too..
Ellie - I actually dont know a ton about Ellie mostly because I didnt like Last Of Us, but i loved her character i think her voice acting was really well done.. I also think she is a lot different than Clementine, respectfully she is more mature but i think thats because of the age difference between the two. Though something that bothers me about her is she can do all this crazy shit but cant do basic things to make the plot of the story more intense, also the fact she swears a lot. I have no issue with swearing and it makes even more sense for her to do it in these times, yet i think that they shouldnt have rushed the swearing at us. That being said i think Ellie is a very strong, smart and awesome character, not mention a badass.
Clementine - I obviously care a lot about Clementine, and i love The Walking Dead Game (hence why im on here) I think the extreme emotional attachment most players have with Clementine is we meet her in one of the first days and she is still innocent and little. Though she is still little she slowly changes into a cold, distant, and strong young lady which is kind of what she needs to be to stay alive. We dont meet Ellie on the first day because she was born in post apocalyptic times. One thing i dont like about Clementine isnt really about her, its her overall fanbase they treat her like a god and i understand why they love her (i do too) but when some fans get angry if you dont like Clementine as much as they do things can get bad..
Who do you think won the video and going past the video, who do you have a stronger attachment too, of course im assuming a majority on here will say Clementine but try to think of it in an open minded way. And also how do you think Clementine goes up against other female protagonists or characters (Elizabeth, Jodie, Lara etc.)..
Im also not necessarily asking which one you like more, im asking which one do you have a stronger emotional attachment too.

Technically it's not fair. We've had 2 seasons 10 episodes to get attached to Clementine. While Ellie we only had 1 game.

Isnt TLOU around 15 hours with the DLC which is like 2 hours? So its around 17 hours of Ellie.
TWD S1 is about 10 hours give or take and i finished Season 2 in 7 hours so for me theyd be around the same length, they arent that far off.

Both of them are raised in completely different situations. I love them both, I love Ellie and Clementine so much. The character of both of them is amazing. The best part for me in TLOU was the dialogue, it felt so realistic, especially in Left Behind DLC.
Ellie swearing a lot makes sense to me. She doesn't have a family figure to look up to, and the world is pretty much sh9t.

Interesting topic, I think that Ellie versus Clem is a hard one because their individual circumstances are very different, for example:
There's probaly more than this but these are the key one's I can think of right now.
A better comparison of who would survive the Apocolypse would be Clem and Carl Grimes, but more because they are living in the same world and you would need to hypothosie that they are the same age, so maybe not.
I agree actually, Carl or Clementine is much more diffucalt.
That rap video in the op was horrendous. I hate it when people try to copy something popular and fail miserably at it. As for Ellie vs clementine in terms of emotional attachment, I would go with Clementine. Both Clem and Ellie are great characters, but with Clem I felt like was an active participant in her story and was there with her on her journey more so than Ellie. Because of that combined with her growth and personality, I have more emotional attachment with that character a little more than Ellie. Clem is like my little sister.
Now against the female protagonists you have mentioned in the op:
Elizabeth > Clementine: I love Elizabeth as much as I loved the game she originated from. She is such a well-crafted and sympathetic character. She feels just as real as Clementine. I was fascinated by her growth over the course of Infinite and I loved her personality. Elizabeth is my second favorite video game character to date. My only issue regarding the character is how the writers ended her story in the dlc expansion ( people who have played it will know why). Nevertheless, Liz was one hell of a character.
Lara< Clementine: The rebooted Lara Croft is a strong, smart and likeable heroine. The only problem I have with the character is her growth feels uneven, especially when parallel to the gameplay.
Jodie=Clementine: I like them both equally.
I love them both so much, but Ellie wins by a tiny, tiny bit. (I said the same the last time one of these Ellie vs. Clementine threads popped up.)

I'v watched 20 minutes worth of gameplay of TLOU and I kinda hated it. I just didn't like the graphics nor the characters. Also Sarah's death wasn't sad for me ( The one from TLOU ) but I guess im supposed to play the whole game to enjoy it?
I like both of the characters, but I'm more emotionally attached to Clementine, and I think Clem's character is more interesting. Considering we don't know much about Ellie.
I hate killing, (kills every enemy at the beginning of the game)

Cuteness- Clem (Season 1 mainly).
Voice acting- Ellie.
Symbols (Knife vs Hat)- Clem's Hat.
Believability- Ellie.
Writing- I'm gonna go with Ellie because Naughty Dog never seem to slip up.
Who does more work- Season 2 Clem because Joel is still alive so Ellie doesn't have to do quite as much.
Overall Character- Ummmm hmmmmm Both?
