Teaming: Arvo VS Ben
I don't know why, but before I presumably disappear from these threads until season 3, I wanted to ask a simple question..
If your group had to have Arvo or Ben, who would you choose?
Lets take a look at our traits here.. Also, by the way, this is with no personal background on either of them. Ben wasn't with the other kids when you find him, and Arvo wasn't with the Russian Mafia either. You're pretty much plucking them from the heavens based upon personality and physical statistics.
I know a lot of people will probably choose Ben, since he didn't shoot Clementine like Arvo, but like I said try to avoid the memory and focus more on personality and whatnot.
I would list a few ideas about bonuses, but I haven't played season 1 in so long I hardly remember anything about Ben. Which probably goes for all of us, unless you all replayed season 1. Personally, I didn't, ain't nobody got time for dat.
And also, maybe its just a small nitpick here, some people compare Arvo to Ben and just say Arvo is the Russian version if Ben. To keep it simply, he isn't. I'll go into further detail if I have to, but I rather not.

Arvo lied about Clem stealing his medicine, which caused his group's death, wouldn't listen to what Kenny said, which caused him to get pushed around, ran on the ice, which indirectly caused Luke's death, and finally shot Clem

Think I forgot to add what I'd choose, so here we go.
I'd choose Arvo, since I'm sorry but.. I still hold more of a grudge over Ben for fucking all the things up rather than Arvo for shooting Clem. I know, I know, I'm a horrible, horrible, person.. who really likes to use commas.

Ben left Clem to walkers, Arvo shot Clem, it's tough, they're both kind of sympathetic and tragic. Ben probably, he seems like a nice guy, who's just put into tough situations.

Even though what Ben did was wrong and was one of the sole reasons i dropped him from the tower, if Clem could've handled walkers like she does now she would've been fine.
I think Ben had reached his moment to make something of himself... right before he died. If he had lived longer, I believe he would have changed and become a useful member of the group. Rather than that fucker Arvo who shot an 11 year old girl who did nothing and brought his group of Russians right to them.
Arvo for me and I'm not entirely sure why. They both have similar qualities, but Arvo seems a bit more tough then Ben (keep in mind neither of them are very tough at all)
Thank God I'm not alone in this. I was afraid for a second I'd be the only one to choose Arvo. >w< And yeah, if you ask me, Arvo does seem a bit tougher than Ben.

Ben. Definitely. Yes, Ben messed up a lot. But, he didn't stop trying. Arvo shot an eleven year old, stole the group's supplies, which could cause the death of two adults, one child, and one baby. So yeah, I rather have Ben then Arvo.

Ben, he never screwed up without trying to help others, don't need anyone rough and tough also Ben ALWAYS speaks english! For all we know Arvo could have been plotting everything. Also to be fair it seems whenever we had tougher members they always either PURPOSEFULLY screw someone in the group over or leave.
Examples: Mike left, Lily screwed us over by shooting Carley, Kenny sort of tore the group apart because they feared him, Larry tried to leave us for dead, Molly left, Jane pulled a stupid stunt that almost cost her her life(my playthrough)
Honestly Ben would probably shoot Arvo if we told him to and meant it.I can trust Ben despite possible mistakes, I can't trust Arvo because he won't make any mistakes

True, if I was apart of Clem's group, of course I would chose Ben. If I was in a different group though, I would chose Arvo because he seems tougher
