Anybody else that rewinded the last part and changed their ending?

Originally,I chose to go with Jane, but after I saw Kenny's ending, and seeing that he was still the Kenny we know and love after all that,I just couldnt not choose to go down that path and stay with him.

But there was something else that made me change my ending.,and that was the empty feeling I got from going with Jane. So we went through so much,we survived so long, our group disbanded litterally over night, and I killed arguably the ONLY person that truly cared about Clementine, someone who has been with us since the very beggining,so I could settle in an empty mall with strangers?

Is it only me,or does Wellington offer more of an actual ending? Everyone that died, did so protecting clementine, and the group! And we got to safety because of them! They didnt die in vain! Doesnt that sound more fitting? With Jane,we are still struggling, and you saw that the supplies left werent that much.

Even if some people would like to argue and say Wellington is not necessarily better, they are more than wrong. Just the fact that they have more food or baby formula is more than justifiable choosing that ending. It is the best thing to do not only for Clementine, but for AJ. Kenny's speech there at the end hit every mark, she can be a kid for a while, even IF,in classic TellTale fashion, it were to fall apart after half a year somehow. She can make new friends, and can raise the baby in a relatively safe environment.

Isnt that more important than deciding who is a better person? That was litterally our main goal since the very start of the season! I dont care if Kenny was a bloody horned demon(obvious exaggeration,I myself am a Team Kenny member lol),getting Clementine and AJ to safety and doing what is best for them has always been my top priority, even in season 1.

  • No.

I ended with Jane and the family, and i like it!

Love Jane, with her MyClem is safe!

    I shot Kenny, and i'm glad i did! :)

  • I don't like rewinding to get better choices, I play this game as if it was real life and in real life we don't get to rewind :P I just find rewinding cheating. Also I don't think theres a better ending, it all comes down to our opinion of which ending we love more.

  • Forgot to mention that I got the ending with Jane without the family.

  • [Okay,I'll stay at Wellington] to [We're all leaving this place]

But it's not real life and the choices you let yourself be railroaded into taking will effect you subconsciously in a way that actually will effect your real life. There have been psychological studies that have proven this out.

I'm not against you having a choice, exactly the opposite I want you to be more conscious of the choices you do have. You have the choice to rewind and not let the story filter you down a path you'd not choose if you had more control over how the story went.

  • Well this isnt entirely about kenny now,it is about doing what is best for Clementine and the Baby. The supplies at the mall didnt seem that much and I would bet that they won't even last 2 weeks without needing to leave the mall.

Going to Wellington provides a second chance for Clem,to return back to normal for a short time. To not have the responsibilities of a full grown man. To care and raise the baby in a safe environment.

For example if bandits come at Howe's,you mean to tell me a little girl,a badass one i'll admit though, and 2/1 adults depending on your ending is going to defend everything? WIthout any consequences? What happens if Jane dies?

Don't you think a military fort, stocked and manned is more safe for 1 child and a baby? Be reasonable here.

70% of people shot Kenny sooo there may be a lot of controversy..... I wasn't "fooled" by Jane I already knew the baby was alive... I was in the moment and when Kenny was over her with that knife with that wild look on his face...

I was thinking "should I really let another person who cares about me die because of my sentiment to Kenny, how many more people who clearly don't deserve to die am I going to let die because of Kenny?" Is it worth it for my Clem??

    So I shot....

But If Jane's ending wasn't so lack luster I might not have rewinded.. I liked Kenny's ending much more.. Its the only time I rewinded and it will be the last.. Its my game, I spent my money on it so I can choose my own ending.

  • Wellington = Who are those people?

    Kenny = A fucking crazy

With Jane my clementine is more safe, and even if food will finish, Jane is an expert of survival, we will find another food. And then we have Randy, Patricia and Gill... So no, I think my final is perfect, and i won't change it :)

  • Yes but Wellington does seem more safe and a better environment to raise a child in. They have more supplies and are more defendable than Howe's.

What happens if bandits try to ravage through your mall? 2 Adults,or just Jane, depending on your choice, with a little girl won't be enough to defend against them. What happens when they run out of baby formula? They will leave the mall in a maximum of 2 weeks, the supplies left didnt look like much.

  • Of course everybody can choose whatever they want im not going against that :)

But im just saying,Wellington appears significantly safer compared to Howe's. Even if you dont know the people at Wellington that shouldnt matter, because you will be safe and have plenty of food and baby formula.

And mind you baby formula is extremely hard to find, its not your typical canned beans or dehydrated food you can find anywhere. You would have to find another mall/supermarket/store that hasnt been completely picked clean, like almost everything out there, because 4 years of apocalypse is a long time, considering desperate people all over.

And also Randy,Patricia and Gill are strangers as well. What makes you think Wellington doesnt have kids like Clementine? That place has been talked about everywhere by survivors. Even Christa heard of it and she was dead-set of going there. If she isnt dead,Wellington is where your going to find her.

  • Well there are 5 different endings so I guess its reasonable for it to have 30%.

But yeah I completely know what you mean,I felt so too. It is the first time I ever rewinded. It just feels like TellTale meant for Wellington to be the main ending, but because of the fans wanting more meaningful choices they changed it up quickly to comfort them.

Thats just my opinion though,if it isnt obvious already :)

Do not be fooled by Wellington. No place is safe. Yes, maybe is more safe than Howe's, but we don't know if they have baby formula... and above all if they are good people.

At least it is certain that at Howe's there is the baby formula. Then, like Jane said, they will stay there for a while.

According to me, Jane can still teach to Clem many tricks on how to survive. Not trusting people is a feature of My Clementine, who obviously learned from Jane xD

  • Sure Wellington seems like a more safe place but either you stay in Wellington without Kenny or you all leave with Kenny. Both choices end in one getting hurt. The Jane ending however, all of you seem to have a happy ending with or without the family. Yeah the mall isn't a permanent solution but it works fine for the time. I find it better to be with a hardcore smart survivalist who knows what shes doing. Just my opinion though :)

  • I think the reason Jane's endings feel so weak in comparison to the Kenny/Wellington endings is that the climax actually occurs when you shoot Kenny. That heartbreaking final dialogue between Clem and Kenny is the emotional core of the finale. What happens after is just tying up loose ends.

I felt as Jane's ending is better since everyone has a happy ending. With the Kenny ending all of them get hurt either mentally and/or physically whether you choose either choice.

  • Nah. I like to stick with my choices.

  • Trying to move away from the ending, has anyone else gone back and played through season 2 again? I'm on episode 2 right now with a new save. I'm finding it pretty good to see apart from the little choices or bits of dialogue, I'm still pretty much happy with the choices I made on my first playthrough.

  • Originally I did it twice and then went back to my original choice with Jane and family. There are thousands reasons why to have each of those endings but I stand with my original one.

I dont want to repeat myself or justify my choice

Games's theme and concept is to make tough choices and live with the consequences.

TL:DR We can argue about this till season 3.

  • nope unless i make a very small error like say press the wrong choice by accident i don't really change anything. unless it is a new runthrough then it;s everything goes,

  • No rewinds from me. Jane and I are fine. Time for girl power take over the apocalypse

  • Nope, I am much more satisfied with Jane, AJ, Randy, Patricia and Gill than any Kenny ending.
