The game definitely wants to make us feel as if Randy is dangerous. Happy music plays all the way up until we see Randy has a gun, then it becomes distorted, dark, and twisted. The expression on Clem's face shows that she's very worried. Earlier, Randy brushes off Patricia in a not so nice way. The game makes it clear that something is wrong with this family.
Also, consider this, the Kenny endings, both of them, leave us with incredibly emotional scenes, fantastic dialogue, and acting during those scenes, it feels like an ending. The final shot for both Kenny endings works well. The Jane endings have none of that, expect for when you turn the family way. It just isn't done as well as the Kenny endings. They don't feel conclusive, and they leave us in a very strange place. The Jane endings weren't done as well.... They just weren't.
You can't say something is 'objectively' worse when we are all clearly biased here
I completely disagree and I think it's entirely up[ to… more perception. For me personally, having Jane make the choice to let in the family is the best ending because we have some supplies and the skeleton of a community which we can rebuild, and Clem meets someone who is her own age which will be very healthy for her. Letting Jane make the decision is satisfying as it shows her character growth into a more caring and trusting survivor.
In the walk into the sunset ending, hardly anything is known about the situation. It's difficult for me to see how the non-wellington cheesefest Kenny ending is objectively more sensible than the Jane new community building ending, but that's your opinion and that's fine. Just don't say 'objectively' when it's basically impossible to argue in a game which is all about opinion.
And I'm willing to bet you're just going by what… [view original content]
The game makes it obvious Randy could be dangerous. It also makes it extremely obvious that Kenny could be dangerous.
You've just oversimplified the chocie to suit you. You've said the choice is just 'family over safety' and then focus on the bad parts of Jane's endings and ignore the good parts.
I could just as easily say Jane's endings are:
Invite in family (trust over independence), not let in family (independence over trust).
And then say: Kenny endings:
Wellington (possible safety, we have no idea how it will be inside, especially for someone who is alone) or Kenny (theoretical family although he isn't actually family, could hurt you if you really accidentally lose baby, even says he thinks he might hurt you)
Which would be just as stupid.
Just let people enjoy the endings they enjoy, and don't pretend you're some kind of holy enlightener who needs to save the souls of the poor misguided people who picked Satan (Jane) over Jesus (Kenny).
._. The Jane endings are the worst. They're actually crafted worse than the Kenny ending. There is no finality to it, it's not conclusive. B… moreoth endings punish you, but the Kenny endings are a fair trade-off.
Kenny Endings: Choose Wellington(Safety over Family). Choose Kenny(Family over Safety).
Jane Endings: Invite them in(Trusting, makes it very clear that Randy is dangerous(musical ques, worried expression, etc). Turn them away(Distrustful, Randy and others will return).
Sorry, I didn't mean popular. I meant to say that most people would say it's the second best ending. Just from everything I've seen. Almost … moreeveryone who didn't get the Kenny endings and went back to get them preferred them. Mostly leaving Kenny, but that's because most people only went back to the Kenny endings because they believed that the Jane endings are sub-par. As is the Alone ending, but that's still better than the Jane endings in a lot of ways.
Jane endings are "dark" cause it's the character of Clem and Jane.
Jane don't trust people = Clem don't trust people
WIth Kenny it's logical that u have a "emotional final", because is a character that we knew from 1 episode, and his character is different from the Jane's.
I don't know what say... I like Jane's final, and i don't know why people say it is bad
The game definitely wants to make us feel as if Randy is dangerous. Happy music plays all the way up until we see Randy has a gun, then it b… moreecomes distorted, dark, and twisted. They don't feel conclusive, and they leave us in a very strange place. The Jane endings weren't done as well.... They just weren't.
Telltale could have done a better job on making the Jane endings feel more climatic, but the Jane endings, I think, feel more like an ending suited for the Walking Dead, a feeling of uncertainty but there might still be hope left IF you let the family in, didn't the first season end on this note? Nobody really had concrete evidence that the two shadowy figures in the distance, were Omid and Christa, they could have been killer scavengers or not, we didn't know at the time, and so season 1 ended on an uncertain but hopeful note.
The game definitely wants to make us feel as if Randy is dangerous. Happy music plays all the way up until we see Randy has a gun, then it b… moreecomes distorted, dark, and twisted. Harpadarpa was a member here, wasn't he? He's the biggest Kenny hater I've ever known, and even he wil lsay that the Kenny endings are way better than the Jane endings. And yes, there are some things that the Kenny nedings have that the Jane endings just don't.
I can't think of a single memorable line from the Jane ending aside from Clem saying something along the lines of "We can make something out of this". You see, this is the point they should have been trying to drive home. That's the only attempt they made at doing it. After that, we get a twisted musical que when we see Randy's gun, leaving us with a bad feeling, an awkward exchange between Clem and gill and........... That's it. No big point to try and drive home, the whole thing feels inconclusive and without any kind of finality.
I mean, even the ending where you turn them away gets more right. In fact, for what it is, that's still a good ending. It did what it was supposed to. It made us feel how cold Clem has become, had a sense of foreboding with Randy, and Gill looking back at Clem and Jane was a good shot to end it on. Still doesn't get as much right as the Kenny ending, but it was better for what it was.
Each ending is meant to accomplish something, set Clem down on some path. The Kenny endings do this, and they do it the best. The Alone ending could have been better. Showing us the "badass" scene of Clem walking through a herd I don't think was the best way to get the point across, but hey, it worked. At least one of the Jane endings sets us on a path, even though it's not done fantastically well, and compared to the other endings, still isn't great. Inviting the family in isn't a good ending. Nothing to do with Jane, it's simply that the other endings were crafted better, whereas this one has clear flaws with how it was put together.

I got that ending also.but just to see what would happen I went back and shot Kenny.and afterward you get to chose to forgive jane or leave her,i left her and the cut seen shows clem and aj making it to a field full of walkers,so clem dispatched a walker and covered herself and the baby with the gore then it fades to the credits as they walk through the field.havent tried forgiving jane yet to see what happens, probably try today.
One Kenny hater thinks one ending is better than one ending = KENNY CONFIRMED FOR BEST ENDING!!!!!
One person thinks one ending doesn't have memorable lines = KENNY CONFIRMEDFORBESTENDINGBLARGH!!!!!!!
I think it had memorable lines. Such as Patricia 'Thank you Jane. Thank you...so much..' or Clem's hopeful 'We will make it better ' and Jane looking happily at her.
Does an ending in a continuous series have to be conclusive to be good? So, for example, did you think the season 1 ending was objectively terrible because it ended with some suspense?
You think the ending where you turn them away is good because it shows that if Clem picks Jane she's clearly got cold, and yet you don't think letting in the family does because it shows a warmer side to Jane and reinforces Clem's warmth?
That just sounds like you're a Jane hater. As in ,you think the only POSSIBLE reason someone coudl choose her is because they hate everyone, and you think the ending where Jane shows she is getting more trusting is stupid.
The Jane ending while letting in the family DID set down a path for Clem. 'We will make it better!' Clem happily says to Jane when she raises the idea of starting a new community.
It shows a path that Clem will retain her empathy for the family to be let in, and that Jane is growing warmer and becoming more willing to trust others. It shows a path to a community started by Clem and Jane, a new home for them and this new family, and maybe more groups down the line.
There is hope, coupled with the right amount of caution of the man. Jane's got her eyes on him, but chances are judging by his company he is a good person. It ends with a boy Clem's age complimenting her hat, a sign that Clem will have interaction with someone her own age which is very important for kids.
Harpadarpa was a member here, wasn't he? He's the biggest Kenny hater I've ever known, and even he wil lsay that the Kenny endings are way b… moreetter than the Jane endings. And yes, there are some things that the Kenny nedings have that the Jane endings just don't.

Wellington appears to be the perfect ending for AJ and Clem. There they have a stronghold, safety, community of people to talk to, maybe other kids, food, water and who knows what else. Clem doesn't have to stress over AJ and the possibility that his cries may attract walkers. She can live comfortable for however long the shelter lasts, whether it be months or years.
Ignoring the fight between Kenny and Jane and the consequence of that completely, Wellington is objectively the best place for Clem and AJ.
I can assume that due to the fact that MOST people shot Kenny and MOST of those stayed with Jane, that there would be a lot more support for her than there is shown on the internet.
The fact that most who shot kenny stayed with Jane shows most shooters chose to forgive her. That is at least more substantiated than 'From my experience of the internet this is true':
All our information of plays who don't discuss it avidly on the web comes from the stats. And those stats show that most people forgave Jane, and so we can assume that most people were satisfied with the ending which followed with Jane.
But if we're talking the people who actually play the game? The majority who play it and then don't take to the internet to talk about it?
I seriously doubt you'd find the same.
Have you asked them all?
I don't know who that is nor do I care. His opinion is no more valid than anyone else's. If a Jane hater said one of her endings were the best would that mean it is?

Clem: "Want to hold the baby?"
Jane: "he's gonna puke, he's gonna puke!"
Clem: "he won't puke!"
(AJ puke)
Jane: "He Puked, he puked!"
hahahahahah laughing so hard XD

Well said Mate, Well said

Well, I agree.
No offense, but I'm sure that most of the players who made the final with Kenny has been influenced by others, who saw in it the "happy ending".![:) :)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

Maybe and he's trying to plug his video.
That makes the Wellington choice even sweeter, knowing that you are in the minority of people who chose the right choice for Clementine.
All right, let's hope that works out for Clem and the baby since they still have no baby food or diapers or anything.

Clem: "Want to hold the baby?"
