***** and **** will die in S3 E1.
Do you guys think that Kenny and Jane will die meaningless deaths in S3 E1, similar to Omid? I want to say that Telltale wouldn't do that, and that they wouldn't just throw away the relationship you built with them (possibly since S1 E1 in regards to Kenny), but then I remember "Oh yeah, the game is made by Telltale". So what do you guys think? Again, I don't want them to, but I think there's a high chance it will happen.

They better not.
I don't think S3 will follow Clementine. So I doubt we will ever know if they will die meaningless deaths.
I kind of hope they work at determinant characters from now on
I'm guessing they'll pull a Christa.
I would rather have them pull a Christa with Jane and Kenny than an Omid.
I don't think it will either, but at the same time, it seems that the entire franchise revolves around her. Many people play the game just for Clem.
It's Telltale, who knows what kind of shit they'll pull.
Like me.
I'm thinking of letting Jane kill Kenny and then shooting Kenny in one playthrough to see where that would take me. Who would die in place of them? If they are already dead then the writers can't pull an Omid. (I love how everyone is just calling early first episode deaths 'Omids' now.)
Time jump and clem would tell a quick story about how she iost jane/kenny
If you mean letting Kenny kill Jane and then shooting Kenny that gets you the Alone ending. It's because of that ending that Kenny or Jane will die really early or sometime in S3. Since they can both be dead at the beginning of S3, they would need to kill them or make them disappear like Christa in order to tie all endings together, effectively starting S3. Also, I love calling an early death an Omid
Doubt it, that would be a poorly written end to Kenny / Jane on Telltales part. If they HAVE to die, I at least want a noble sacrifice type of death to keep Clem and AJ alive.
Well, Aren't you just a little ray of sunshine?
What about if you stayed in Wellington? Then there is no Kenny or Jane in Clems story.
Yes,and the following episodes will have a linear story.
Same.
If TellTale wanted to really show, that your choices matter. Jane and Kenny would make it all the way to atleast ep 5 of Season 3
They'll probably pull a Nick.
Just give us this one chance Telltale! THIS ONCE, to have these 2 determinants live up to at least Ep. 3 or 4.!
I can't speak for Jane, but if Telltale gives us at least multiple* beginnings* for season 3, I'd like to see a scene of Kenny bidding a teenage Clementine farewell on his death bed. (And please, no zombie bite this time! The man's simply had a long, brutal life with only Clem and AJ around to keep him even 10% sane.)
From what I've heard it's possible for people to not have Kenny or Jane in your party so since they can't be with some people they can't be with all so it would make sense for them to die. But the most believable thing is that season 3 won't follow Clementine like everyone thinks and maybe like Bonnie or something so it wouldn't matter who is with you at the end of season 2 but that's just me
Me also...
I try my best
That's my point. Because Clem can be alone, that means that Jane / Kenny will need to die or disappear in order for all endings to sync up pave the way for Season 3. Either that or Clem will be with a new character if she got the Alone ending.
I definitely agree, and I really hope that they do that.
Since we know Telltale can pull off multiple determinate characters at the same time (i.e. Doug and Carly) and have them live for awhile, I think that either Jane and Kenny will die right away, they will disappear right away, or they will stay with you, and you'll have a character new to Season 3 earlier on if you got the Alone/Wellington ending in Season 2. That way Clem will have somebody with her in all endings, and they can start progressing with Season 3.
It is possible for Bonnie to die in that episode.
YEP.
Naw they'll pull a rab- I mean Kenny out of their- I just mean Kenny.
Not necessarily. Omid wasn't a determinant character, and he got a meaningless death.
Kenny and Jane, while both determinant, could very well live a couple episodes into Season 3 (If Season 3 picks up where Season 2 left off). We've seen determinant characters make it for another episode or so (Doug/Carley/Ben/Pete/Nick). I mean while they COULD die in the following episode (Ben/Pete) they may also make it a couple, with or without dialogue.
