Why I saved Kenny

Although Jane was trying to make a good point, she knows damn well how Kenny behaves. Jane could have set a point through talking instead of provoking him, leading to her demise. It wasn't the place or the time to do this. Kenny is a broken man, lost so many close people in his life, he's a human being. We have our limits. I don't really blame him for being enraged like that after what he's been through. When Jane entered the building, he asked if she was okay. Clem knows Kenny more than Jane does. He acts with rage, but with good reasoning, he'll listen. He's like one of those soldiers who never leave a comrade behind. Just look at Mike & Bonnie. They were completely in the wrong by ditching them. I know it's due to Kenny's Incredible Hulk status throughout this season, but still. They did not understand.

In the end, he still cared deeply about Clem & the baby. If you chose to save him, he was willing to let them stay at Wellington while he sets out on a journey alone. Don't get me wrong, what Kenny did was unnecessary. His mindset in immediately killing without asking questions was wrong. If he could've been more sincere, Jane would've told Kenny the truth. In my opinion, both of them were wrong. Kenny being an asshole and Jane for messing with him. However, the reason why I let Jane get killed because I can understand Kenny. I can live through his annoyance. I've played season 1 & 2. Even though he doesn't show it, he cares about his people. He just need a guidance to keep him out of the darkness and not end up like Carver. At first, Lee was that person and now it's Clementine's.

  • Jane tricked almost everyone the first time, even me.

  • What do you think Kenny would do if Clementine lost the baby?

  • I think he would be realy angry with her like when Sarita died but I don't think he would hurt her.

Tough question. Clementine cut off Sarita's arm (Well, my choice anyways) and he understood the situation even though it was completely uncalled for. I personally think Kenny would either take a long time out or leave Clementine for the time being. In time, he'll understand. Clementine is all he's got. She's like his daughter. Never in a million years will he think about killing her. Eventually, Kenny will go back for her and be on their way. Kenny isn't Lee, remember that. He's an asshole that we all love and understand.

  • Lol same here. I do like how she takes big risks to ensure survival, but there are times where she has to fully understand one's point of view. It's like a gamble.

  • What about all the times he has hit her? How many times did he push her in the Jane/Kenny fight alone?

  • It was out at the moment of rage. I'm sure Duck would also get smacked by him given if they were in the same situation. Kenny would never truly hurt her.

  • Uh...Kenny did leave Clem alone in the herd after she cut off the arm

If that happens again if she accidentally lost the baby, then it may be too late when a day later he's ready to apologise and Clem has just been devoured by the herd.

  • Mike forcibly dragged Kenny to leave and Clementine followed them until Walkers got in the way. Kenny couldn't have gone back or else he'd be zombie food.

  • The one thing Kenny does not do is listen, especially when he thinks he's right.

  • To be quite honest, most of his own reasons could've saved an abundance of trouble for the group. I could name a bunch of moments, but I'm lazy right now and if you really request it, then I'll spit it out.

  • In regards to Mike and Bonnie, it should also be mentioned that Kenny states that he wants to keep the group together despite the crossroads the group appeared to be at.

    Good post.
