Rewind to Season 1 Episode 4
You're Lee again.
The bell rang.
Walkers are coming out of the woodwork.
You see Ben and Clemintime.
You see Ben get scared.
You watch as Ben runs off.
You try to get to her but can't.
No one can.
They bite her and she dies.
You turn to look at Ben.
He says, "I'm sorry, it was an accident. I got scared. I didn't MEAN to leave her."
The menu box comes up.
- Shoot Ben.
- Forgive Ben.
What do you choose?
If you can see yourself choosing 1, even if for only a moment. If you feel you have to bite back your anger and stop yourself from pulling that trigger... Then try to understand why saying "it was an accident", might not fly for other people in a similar situation, especially if that person has a hot temper. It's the same thing.
And also, just remember that Lee killed that senator for sleeping with his wife. So lets not pretend that you can't redeem yourself for this kind of crime. Unless you hated Lee, I guess.
Comments
Behead ben but aggressively thank him we do not meet jane.
Shoot him in the balls. Then leave him to get eaten by the walkers ( his worst fear )
I'd throw my controller on the ground and say neither choice is that simple. Some people could choose shooting Ben because they already have a predisposition to hating him and would like to just finally rid of him. Other people would like Ben or sympathize with him for various reasons and be more likely to forgive him rather than shoot him....
But I understand what you're saying in your post friend.
To be honest, I couldn't do either. I would just leave him behind, like I did with Lilly.
He didn't kill his wife ya goof, he killed the senator who was sleeping with his wife.
You realize leaving him behind for the walkers, with no food or supplies is just trying to keep your hands clean and have the walkers do the dirty work, right? Lilly made that clear when you took off. She expected to die very soon if you left her behind.
Yes I do realise that. I'd rather do that than directly murder someone, if that makes sense.
Corrected.
Killing another person, a kid, isn't good just by saying "Oh well Lee can redeem himself "
I would choose to not respond, as I did with Jane. I wouldn't kick him out of the group, but he would solidify himself as the "expendable" member of the group.
What is this? Because so many people hate Ben, they're supposed to better identify with this point of view? I was sympathetic to Ben. I forgave him for leaving Clem when everyone else wanted his hide and I wouldnt just murder him out of anger.
I'm surprised at these responses to be honest.
I'd forgive him. I would just hate him. But I'd still forgive him.
Finally , a fellow member who doesn't hate ben
Haha, Im full of unpopular opinions lol
I'd do nothing. What's the point of killing him? He didn't maliciously get Clementine killed, after all. Why cause another death when there's really no reason for it? I don't think in the crazy way Kenny does.
That doesn't necessarily mean I'd forgive him but I wouldn't just kill him or leave him behind as walker food. I'd also know for sure that I can't put any trust in him whatsoever and he'd have no say in any decisions from that point on.
Ha , same.
I feel bad for arvo , felt bad for nick , went out to find luke and kenny.
If people were honest with themselves, they'd realize that in all likelihood they would BE Ben if they were in a zombie apocalypse situation, if they even got that far. And many don't even have the excuse of being as young as he is.
You're comparing a high school kid to a fucking full grown adult.
Forgive him.
I wouldn't 'forgive him' but I'd get him out alive, only to give him a 'good talking to' later.
I'd just stay silent with a with an expressionless face and just walk away with the group. I'd leave it up to him to decide if he would want to stay or not.
It's funny how you created a Kenny-support thread without mentioning Kenny at all.
Shoot him?I'd do something worse.
Lee:Kenny?
Kenny:Sup
Lee:Ben made the deal with the bandits. He's the reason your wife and kid are dead
Im preety sure Ben would prefer shooting him than letting Kenny beat him to death
The problem is we are meant to see Ben as a kid more or less, or at least young and inexperienced. Problem is a lot of people who play it are teenagers so they dont recognise it as they are even younger than ben
