I did too. As much as I don't condone abuse--regardless of what was done, I just see it makes you no better than them--I sat there and replayed the scene at least five times.
I'm very tempted to rewind and I have never rewinded.
I laughed my ass off when that happened.
I don't know why I laughed at this xD
People laughed at this?
wow
He deserves it.
I got this on my second playthrough. Couldn't help but laugh.
I don't think anyone ever really 'deserves' to be physically abused.
This is one of the rare cases that someone is such a pile of shit they do deserve it.
Beating a defenseless teen doesn't make sense. As much as i hate Arvo, I've always played it fairly. If I wished to settle a debt with someone, I'd fight them man to man.
He was such of a pile of shit that he deserves to be beaten BEFORE shooting clem or trying to leave the group?
Eeeeehhhhhhh, Arvo really hadn't done anything to deserve the beatings Kenny was giving him at this point. And even knowing that he shoots Clem, I still can't really agree with Kenny when it comes to physically abusing Arvo.
I would, however, be fine with letting Kenny beat the everloving shit out of him after he shoots Clem. Because THEN he actually deserves it.
I saw it after completing the episode, in my playthrough with different choices. I probably wouldn't have laughed if I didn't know he'd shoot Clem later. And if I remember correctly Kenny and Mike's dialogue is pretty funny afterwards (I think)
I don't agree with Kenny doing it, but the scene itself is kind of funny IMO.
Its actually impossible to feel bad for Arvo, he lied 2 times, her sister wasnt sick, he said he needed help ''bandages'' and set em up. He then shoots clem. Seriously hope he dies in a horrible way next season,
Yeah considering he brought his russian mafia to me even though I didn't steal anything from him lol.
He DID bring over his Russian buddies when I let him go and didn't steal anything from him yet he accused me of stealing anyway, I'd say it's well deserved.
I got this in my Alternate playthrough...
I'm with Green, I didn't steal from him and told Jane not to kill him and he still ambushes us. Too bad those Russians can't shoot for shit.
I really hated Kenny after this scene.
We don't know if he did that willingly or if he was forced by the others in his group. It still makes him a bit of a fuckwit as I didn't steal anything from him either, but without knowing all the details I'm not willing to make a judgement on that. For all we know Buricko was like "Arvo, dearest of all my friends, I feel like shooting at somebody today. Take me to those Americans you met or I'll shoot you."
Of course, it could be equally likely that Arvo is just a little ratfuck bitch who led his group to Clem and Co of his own free will even after Clem did him a solid by letting him keep his pills. But, as I said, we'll never know for sure so I personally file this incident into the "Mulligan" category.
Well until we get proof that he didn't intentionally bring them to Clem's group (he most likely did) I'm putting it in the he deserved that beating file
I actually agree, as in this scene, I didn't even hate him and still defended him against Kenny (I never got this specific scene, but as much as I hate Arvo, at this point it was unnecessary. He just lost his sister, who he thought was still alive when Clem shot her in the face, so I can kind of understand why he wants to be left alone.)
His reasoning for ambushing the group if you didn't steal from him is "UH, I GOT EMBARRESSED AND I NEED TO GET PAYBACK."
Since we'll never know, it's entirely your right to do that. And since he does shoot Clem for NO REASON (lending credence to the ever popular "Ratfuck Bitch" theory I mentioned above) I can't say that I feel completely sorry for him. Especially as he gets off scott-fucking-free after he nearly murders her.
Bringing a group of people to us for reasons we don't fully know deserves physical abuse?
Jesus dude
Well, his sitser might've been sick, but we'll never know now.
Bullets tend to end a lot of unanswered questions.
I have every reason to believe that Arvo brought his group to Clem's group, if he really didn't want to get them killed cause we spared him the pills he would have told them something so they could draw them away, it's Arvo's fault and he deserves punishment.
Pointing-a-gun-at-you sick.
I thought it was fairly obvious. She came down with a massive case of lead poisoning.
Get it guys? Lead? Like... bullets are made of? And she... she got...
Nevermind. I'll go sit in the Shame Corner.
I had to xP
Wait... so Kenny can actually kill Arvo?
For all we know she might've not been in any pain when they ambushed us.
...Now she'll never feel any pain. Oh well.
Nah.
He just gets knocked the hell out.
Or his reasoning was "I just got deprived of my weapon by two dangerous bandits and my group might be in danger."
Just goes to show how people will excuse anything evil someone does if they know the person well. I think this is why Carver's goons went along with him for so long...
Just goes to show how much empathy gamers still lack. Just imagine being tied up, left out in the cold, after your only living family just died before your eyes hours ago, and then being beaten just for crying out.
Y'all should get beaten first before saying it's funny.
Awww okay. I thought the determinant just referred to death, not getting knocked out.
Did he really expect strangers to give him his gun back, and when they didn't rob him?
Excuse me, did my comment make it seem in any way I would think a situation like this would be 'funny'?
I dont regret killing Kenny anymore.... Arvo did not deserve that, i dont care if he fucked up he was then defensless and in pain already, i love Kenny but im proud of Arvo for standing up to him even if i dont like Arvo.
