What if it was Lee?
Just imagine the same situation but instead Jane would be Lee. It is clear that if Lee was alive, this might never have happened. However, TTG put us a choice, kill Kenny or let him kill Lee. What would you do?

Well, unless it was Lee vs Clementine. Clem would win that one for me. Other than that, no one can defeat Lee x)
I think we all know that Lee can handle Kenny, considering the whooping Lee gave him on the train...
What's more, Lee wouldn't need to use AJ to manipulate Clem into staying with him.
Nobody would choose Kenny over Lee. When it came to Clem.

If Kenny tries to kill Lee then that's when you automatically know he's too far gone. Will shoot Kenny every single time..
Jane did what she did out of desperation. She was worried Clem was getting too attached to Kenny and would stick with him to the bitter end. And she was afraid that bitter end meant Kenny completely losing it. What Kenny fans seem to think that we think Kenny is a bad guy and would do something to Clem... Of course not on purpose but the thing about the kind of rage that Kenny has is that he doesn't give what he's doing much thought. Kenny has good intentions but intentions mean nothing when you lose all ability to think rationally.
Anyway. With Lee that would never be an issue. Lee had Clem's completely trust. Lee would NEVER have to do anything like that to convince Clem. All he'd have to do was "Hey sweetie, I'm worried about Kenny and nothing we say is working to get him out of his dark place... Look at what he did to Arvo and how he blamed you for Sarita... He means well but I don't think he's going to get better.. I wish we could do something else but we should probably leave" and Clem would be "Ok Lee"
Hell if Lee were still alive at that point they probably all would've left back at the lake house. I can see Lee stopping Kenny from beating Arvo and keep the others from abandoning us. Lee was the voice of reason.
Fuck... If we're speculating about Lee's prescence in season 2 then it probably would've played compeltely different from the very beginning. Omid probably wouldn't have gotten killed like an idiot... Clem would never be alone. The cabin group would have let them in without a second thought because that's just how awesome Lee was!
Could you imagine? If Lee was the one to be there when Carver showed up at the cabin alone? He would not have been able to scare him into just coming in and asking questions. OMG the possibilities!
You're damn right about Lee. I picked Kenny over Jane mainly because I knew that Kenny would put his life on the line for AJ and Clem (which Jane would do as well). I was just so attached to Kenny since S1 I couldn't be the one to pull the trigger. Both Jane and Kenny will be great protectors of Clem and AJ, so imo it came down to which character the player felt safest with, and obviously the situation both characters were in (Kenny, about to plunge a knife in Jane's chest).
I love what you wrote about Lee changing the storyline with his presence this season. Omid and Christa would be alive, and there would be no chance in hell that Carver would ever even get a chance to do anything even remotely close to threatening near Lee without getting destroyed!
Definitely kill Kenny.

If that choice had ever have happened though, I'm pretty sure that 99.9% of players would shoot Kenny.
Deciding from Clementine's perspective, she would definitely shoot Kenny to save Lee, I think.
But like Rockworm said, they would not be in that situation in the first place, because I don't think any version of Lee is as crazy and manipulative as Jane. They would get to no point where Lee is hiding babies to get Clementine away from Kenny, nor would Lee have any problems simply asking Clementine to come along with him without Kenny, if it came to it, anyway.
But yeah, if you remember the bond between Clementine and Lee, there is no chance she would just let him die. Plus Lee was just designed to be more likeable than Kenny anyway, even if you play him as a complete asshole, so I'm sure most players would save him.
