Game/Comic timeline, Clem's Birthday
Okay dudes, I have made a timeline which I feel is fairly accurate to what is going on, and I am posting it here because I want to get opinions from all you folks. The timeline that I am putting is fairly simple though and only goes up to the end of Volume 14 of the comics. I am also still making the version that goes by each day, as well as putting it into a death timeline, but it's a little vague at the beginning of volume 15 (but I am thinking somewhere around March 1st) and I unfortunately only own the compendiums at the moment. I would also like to add the novels to this eventually, but that would probably be trickier still. Once I have all the comics added to it up to the end of All Out War Part 2 then I should be able to put Season 2 of the game on here. And maybe eventually get this over to the walking dead wiki, since they lack a comic timeline. Of course most of these days aren't exact, but I feel they are pretty close considering the evidence to work with.
Day 0= July 19th
Day 2= Vince's Story (400 Days)
Days 0-4= A New Day (ep. 101)
Day 41= Wyatt's Story (400 Days)

Day 105= November 2nd, Clem's Birthday (probably)
Days 108-109= Long Road Ahead (ep. 103)
Days 110-111= Around Every Corner (ep. 104)
Days 111-112= No Time Left (ep. 105)
Days 135-156= Days Gone Bye (v.1)
Day 184= Russell's Story (400 Days)
Days 157-210= Miles Behind Us (v.2)
Days 210-214= Safety Behind Bars (v.3)
Day 220= Bonnie's Story (400 Days)
Days 214-224= The Heart’s Desires (v.4)
Days 232-235= The Best Defense (v.5)
Days 234-239= This Sorrowful Life (v.6)

Good work.
I think that your comic timeline may be incorrect, I think Rick wakes up a week into the ZA.
Why do you think that??
"At the beginning of the series, Rick was wounded in a shoot-out, and was put into a coma for about a month. Upon awakening, Rick finds the hospital and the rest of the town desolated and overrun by zombies. Rick remains dazed by all of the confusion as he stumbles out of the hospital and onto the streets of Cynthiana. He makes his way out of the hospital and uses a bike to get back to his house."
Where is that quoted from?
That wouldn't fit with all of the established canon from later on in the books anyway. When Rick first meets Glenn, Glenn asks him where he has been for the past few months (Rick was making rookie zombie apocalypse mistakes if I remember correctly). Also, just by reading the issues You can see from him waking up, to meeting his wife, to the beginning of Volume 2 which is Christmas all happens over about 3 weeks. The special issue about Morgan takes place at the same time as the beginning of Volume 2 as said by Kirkman himself. In that special issue Morgan even says that the whole outbreak started about 5 months ago. So we know just by these 2 things Rick was in a coma far longer than that, and the zombies have been around for a few months by the time he wakes up.
Dude, don't quote from the wiki if you haven't read the comics xD
It's full of dumb shit, that wiki, Rick woke up about 3 months into the apocalypse.
It's quoted from the wiki, never trust wiki's anyway, send a mail to Kirkman to see when it starts xD
I have read the comics. xD
Just in Danish, so I don't remember jackshit.
Yeah just don't trust the wiki, anyone can edit it.
Haha, the wiki has some good stuff, and some...not so good stuff.
I got the start date from the games after replaying Around Every Corner. One of the tapes in Crawford is dated October 10th and is day 83 after the outbreak, you just have to work back from there to get the start date. Not to mention when Rick gets shot it's clearly a nice warm day out, and when he wakes up all the trees are missing leaves and it looks like a crappy fall morning.
You can infer it's about 4 months from the first volumes, someone needs to ask him though.
I think I read the comics when they first came out... Until' the end of the prison, then I started reading again recently.
I'm not sure if TellTale has the right start of the apocalypse day, y'know, only Kirkman knows it.
Nice work anyway.
Nice, your work is very thorough.
Yeah, but it's the best and closest we have to him actually confirming it since he did help with the creation of the games and he had more or less creative control if I remember right. Before I noticed that though I just used August 1st as an arbitrary start date based off of the 5 months thing Morgan said, and that was pretty close. So even if it isn't July 19th, it would only be off by around a week or two at most.
Oh gosh, stop it you. Thank you though! Do you happen to have any of the issues after volume 15 that would help place a date? They kind of stop mentioning the passage of time as much after volume 8, so it gets a bit harder to pin down.
I think there's a time skip between volumes 17 and 18, because Carl looks older, and you probably know about the latest 2 year time skip after AOW, but I don't recall any issue that can help.. I'll let you know if I find one.
Pretty good timeline. I think the outbreak was July 20th, but otherwise this is a good headcanon.
btw maybe you could add some minor events? Like, we know Clementine's birthday is 6 days before Lee meets the stranger. You could add that aswell, and also Lee's death/main character's deaths.
I might have counted back wrongly, but a day off wouldn't be a big deal really. And I have started putting the character deaths into another timeline, unfortunately characters in the comics and games tend to die in clumps on really close dates. And Clem's birthday should be November 2nd if I counted right.
No, it's not a big deal at all![:) :)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I was three days or so off when I made my first timeline. And I can understand why you can't bring the death's in there.
