If Season 3 is the final season, then yeah.
If she is even in season 3.
Nope.
Who else would be the protagonist?
Guys do you think Clementine will die in Season 2?
Guys do you think Clementine will die in Season 3?
Guys do you think Clementine will die in Season 4?
Guys do you think Clementine will die in the Special Addition Director's Cut of Season 4?
Guys do you think Clementine will die in the Add-on DLC map pack for Season 19?
Shit, I don't even want to think about this right now.
Someone new.
She'll probably die in the add-on for Call of Duty.
Im sure in the last season with her she'll have several determinant deaths depending on what you choose
Depends if Melissa can make her voice even more mature :P Unless they find another voice actor for an older Clem. I have faith in Mely!
That would kinda make Seasons 1 and 2 kinda pointless.
That's like saying mass effect 4 would be pointless without Shepard. It just isn't true.
I haven't played Mass Effect, so I don't get the reference.
But look at it this way, why would Telltale spend two years developing Clementine's story and character and then just drop it? I mean, their name is a reference to story-telling, and in a story such as this most people would expect the FULL story.
Well bioware spent 5 years 3 games developing Shepard yet they are still moving on from him/her in Mass effect 4.
Correct, Clem will be killed by the Predator's shoulder canon.
First thing: it's not going to be named Mass Effect 4, it's going to have completely different name. And Season 3 will be named The Walking Dead Season 3 which would have been pointless if story from previous seasons was dropped. Second thing: Shepard's story was over. His/her main goal has been achieved one way or another. Clem's story is not over, because her main goal is to survive and there is no end of the whole zombie thing in sight. Third thing: even if Shepard's story is over, he made his/her mark on galaxy, he'll live on in future installments even if he won't appear in them. People will be talking about him (unless it's gonna be prequel of course). Clem didn't make her her mark, she will not be known to anybody who never met her, so dropping her story just like that would be kinda stupid.
I accepted the death of Lee, but if it dies Clementine, for me, would not make sense to continue the game. Even if they add a new protagonist, then there will be no such empathy. I personally would not be able to empathize, as I did it playing for Lee and Clementine.
No.
Everything doesn't have to end up with death you know, this opens many rooms for ingenuity and ingeniousness writing by Telltale, in my opinion killing off a character just to get a reaction off an exaggerated use of "feels" is very cheap.
Mass Effect has a huge universe and is incredibly detailed... The story was never focused on Shepard's character development anyway so it's fine for Bioware to move on, and there's a lot they can do with other characters. That just isn't the case with The Walking Dead, though. Clem's always been the focus. Throwing her away would be stupid.
Shepard actually got proper closure at the end of Mass Effect 3... He saved the galaxy. Clementine's story is only just beginning.
clem as an old woman
"Back in my day, I used to whip female dogs and make Luke do the dangerous hootenanny by himself!"
Felt like I failed on this joke.
no
nO
Clem didn't make her mark....people won't shut up about her. And are you saying Clementine's story won't be over till she dies Because the goal is to survive? If so then......>__>
Clementine's story did get closure though.....in my opinion anyways.
It's The Walking Dead, they just kill off main characters for the sake of it.
im guessing the endings in season 2 will have nothing to do with it, theyll choose a Canon ending. So many people have chosen different options that it would be hard to round them all up with a new Clem story
She's still a very young girl and in my case she's alone with AJ in the middle of nowhere. That's no satisfying way for her story to end.![:/ :/](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/confused.png)
Ok well with that ending I can understand... I guess.
Eventually, Melissa will just be speaking nomally as Clem, lol.
Probably you are right
No it doesn't. Clementines journey is open-ended, and there's still a lot of room and themes they need to explore before they can give her a proper send-off. With Sheperd, the first three Mass Effects set up everything and ended (horrible but ended) in the finale Mass Effect 3.
Clementines journey is still going on at the end of Season Two and thus just switching protagonists would be odd and make the first two seasons pointless. Unless they plan on doing a fourth season which wraps up Clementines story.
That is the funniest thing ever. Just Clementine as an old woman telling stories about the apocalypse.
No, Clem's story may get closure without her dying. But that's not the case with this season's endings. The ending which provides most closure is one where Clem stays at Wellington, but we still don't really know anything about Wellington aside for the fact that it's overpopulated. We don't know if she's happy there, are they really equipped to survive there long-term. Other endings provide little to no closure. Kenny ending - cool, they went together towards the sunset, but sooner or later they're going to end up in some trouble. Will they be let into the Wellington in a few months? Will they even make it to that point? Will they be able to keep AJ alive? Jane endings - can they re-start community at Howe's? Is this family trustworthy? Or if they left, will they return to take this place by force? If Clem's alone - how will she manage to keep AJ alive? Where will she go? - there is little closure in all of these endings. That's why I think dropping Clem's story at this point would be a huge mistake.
