I was thinking it was stupid.
But after a while , before episode 5 came out , I felt bad for him and empathized for him.
Eventually I realised that it's not his fault.
he "needed it"
Not he hate him, but we hated the things he did said, like I said.
Rip luke

No, because lots of us didn't give him any hate.
People were just looking for reasons to hate him, for reasons I shan't go into lest another argument on this torrid forum be started.
Regardless, at least we can rest in the knowledge that we were right to fight against the protectorist pleadings of some fans.
I did regret hating him ( I was one of those pro-Kenny fans ). I also don't hate Mike, I just hate what he did but I understand why he did it.
We hated Luke for fucking Jane, calling Kenny broken, and Mike not being trustable.
No 'we' didn't.
Lot's of people did. But don't generalise all of us.
I and several others stood up to the unfair treatment he suffered at the hands of one particular group of fans.
I don't regret voicing my disappointment, but I never considered anything I said "hate" Luke screwed up but apologized, so it was ok in my book.
I'll be honest, I saw nothing but hate on him when episode 4 came out, there were maybe at least 2 people defending him, so, I'm sorry. Is it really a big deal that I said "We" over "Most people"?
Mike was just badly written and out of character in S2E5, because escaping with the bullied teenager who he just met while leaving no supplies and potentially screwing a baby, who he willingly helped to born, and a child makes no sense.
I don't know wtf you're saying but I know it's bullshit!
How very apt.
The hate you saw is because Kenny fans rule the forum. At that point people were more afraid to speak out against them for themselves.
Luckily the statistics and options to side against him have given them some much needed confidence such that they don't feel ashamed for the view they hold, like the Kenny fans, inadvertently or not, imparted upon them.
Also the fact I joined when that I joined before TWAU came out, so I wasn't aware that most unrational Kenny fans ruled, but I also saw some people saying Luke was wrong and had some valid points.
The irrational Kenny fans didn't rule until about two weeks after episode 1.
Then bandwagon happened and spamming happened and the forum became the awful place we are slowly recovering from now.
True, Kenny fanboys were trying to find any little reason to bash him with all the Luke vs Kenny hype, but once he wasn´t Kenny´s rival anymore, everyone liked him at S2E5 and felt a lot for his death.
Yea, Luke was right. I didn't like him in episode 4, but in episode 5, he was awesome. He was right about Kenny was broken, but yea, he was still a good guy. Mike wasn't trustworthy, and he said that too. It's a shame he had to die, but at least he's with his friends and family now, and he died, saving Clem (Determinant).
Well, it's more that they turned their vitriol towards Jane.
They disliked Luke because he was presented as an alternative to Kenny. They made up reasons to hate him, some even saying he clearly wants to rape clementine because he had sex with Jane.
When it was clear he wasn't the alternative to Kenny, they abandoned their integrity and said 'OMFG HE'S AMAZINNG
<3<3' DAMMIT TELLTALE MY LUKEY ;-;'
This alone made it obvious to me that a large number of said fans hate characters just because Kenny doesn't like them. They are letting Kenny's personality define them.
I didn't hate him in Episode 4. Sure I was mad and disappointed that he was fooling around with Jane instead of watching the perimeter for walkers like he said he was going to do, and I was also annoyed that he kept arguing with Kenny, but I never hated him. Luke has been, and always will be my favorite Season 2 TWD character. R.I.P. Luke.
I didn't hate, just disliked him, and as a Kenny fan can you blame me?
And yes, I deeply regret disliking him, and even worse preferring Mike and Bonnie over him... well, Mike.
RIP Luke (the best character in Season 2 (excluding Clem and Kenny)
Yeah, I kind of regret liking Bonnie and Mike so much in Episode 4 too. I blame the raccoon. The raccoon made me like them.
I liked both of em, fuck me right?
I never hated him at all. Even with all the bitching he did in episode 4, in fact he still remained my favourite character apart from Clem. But he was actually right, Kenny was broken and Mike turned out not to be trustworthy, and I don't blame him for having sex with Jane. He had a moment of weakness and said sorry for it after, we all make mistakes time to time, and really how many mistakes had Luke actually made up to that point. None that I can actually think off.
