Rewinding the Fight
When I shot Kenny at the end of the fight, I kept my eyes closed because I did not want to see it happen, everything was falling apart so quickly, I was looking at two of my most beloved characters in the series fight each other and I knew one of them was going to die, when I had to make a decision I literally had to pause the game to process what exactly I was going to do in this hopeless situation.
On the one hand, I have Kenny whom I absolutely love, which is funny considering he was my least favorite character in the first season, I just fell in love with him in the second and he became my favorite character in the series, sure he was irrational, unstable and dangerous, but who can Blame him? Losing his family was devastating enough and when he tried to move on with Sarita, she died too, he lost everyone he cared about and was broken, yet he never stopped caring for Clementine, willingly giving himself up to Carver to protect her, apologizing to after realizing she was not to blame for Sarita's death and most selfless of all, he was prepared to let the only people left in this world that he cares about go so that they would be safe, he just needed help, but there he was about to kill Jane.
On the other hand there was Jane, I loved how strong she was, how much she cared about Clementine. how she taught her survival skills and assured her that she was just as capable on her own than if she was with a group, she treated her like a sister, her independence and strength made me love her character, the points she was making about Kenny were valid, but I knew he wasn't crazy, just that he needed someone to be there for him, if only she was not so manipulative.
So I made my decision based on the point that Kenny was going to kill her over an accident she did not cause, it was one of the most devastating deaths I have ever had to deal with in gaming, but when I learned that this "accident" was fake, that she provoked Kenny into a fight and worst of all, that she made me kill him based on a lie, I immediately restarted the fight and let Jane die, I know a lot of people might say that it cheapens the impact of the choice, but I just could not live with myself knowing that I killed him over nothing, that I was manipulated into killing one of the closest people to Clementine when he did not deserve it.
I guess my question here is this: Do you guys think I was wrong to rewind the fight? And did anyone do what I did when they learned the truth?
I also have to give props to Telltale for making a decision so overwhelmingly hard, I have never had to face a harder choice in a video game than this one, which shows how well they can create beautiful and compelling characters that you sympathize with and care about, great job and I cannot wait for the third season.

You did the right thing. Although I have to disagree with the statement that Telltale made the decision "overwhelmingly hard", seeing as how a majority of players shot him.
I guess a lot of people thought that he was too far gone, I just came to really care for his character and felt like he still had a chance to be a better person.
I don't think you should feel any shame in rewinding the fight. A lot of my friends actually did the same thing after they found out Jane had lied. If you're happier with this outcome, then that's all that really matters.
Jane was also the only one who really cared about Clementine when she was about to freeze to death. Kenny was on Arvo. Mike was on Kenny and Arvo. Bonnie was on Luke. Arvo on other things. And Jane, she was on Clem. ''We have to get her warm, she's gonna freeze to death.'' ''Mike, help me start a fire.'' and so on. I picked Jane at first, but i regret it. I rewinded it and picked Kenny. Couldn't resist.
You are right, which is why I said Jane cares about Clementine, I loved Jane, but what she did was simply unforgivable in my eyes and had no justification.
This.
But in the end both choices are right in my opinion. Both Kenny and Jane had snapped right there.
The short version: Even though some people think that rewinding such a crucial moment isn't something you should do, no not really, it is your playthrough after all.
Yes numerous people have rewound aswell, in this one case myself included.
The long answer (in case this ↑ doesn't cover all the points)
