Things you would do in the ZA, that people in the game/tv-show forget.
I was just thinking about all the things i would do that you don't or hardly see in the show or game.
Like if its possible, i would take pictures of everyone i have been with. That instant camera Sarah had was a goldmine if you ask me...
Clem would have problems to remember Lee's face at this point im sure. I would love to have a memento from all the people that at one point were with me... Maybe im just overly nostalgic, but if the ZA would ever end, i would like it to have some things on record. I wouldnt say keep a diary, but write down some important things. The zombie apocalypse usually means being pretty bored while surviving, would give you something to do.
Another more practical thing would be armor. I was kind of mind blown i havent thought of it first, when Brad Pitt just wrapped a bunch of telephone books on his arms in World war Z. Brilliant :P Construct your own armor would be even better. You would be pretty invulnerable. I understand that kind of defeats the point of these shows and games, making you feel like people can die at any point. But i would be sure to get myself from dying in any way possible.
So what do you guys think? Im sure theres many more of these

Clem has a picture of lee in her backpack.
Yeah i would have my swords for sure.
Oh, I would use a lobo as a weapon (a very pointy shovel, basically).
Use a fucking metal baseball bat.
Pee
Poop
Doesnt she lose her backpack? But yeah i know she did, its what kinda got me thinking about it in the first place.
Bonnie takes a piss
Providing you could find something like that , you're fucking golden!
Only problem would be hypothermia , food , water , sleeping etc
I wish a zombie had chomped her right then.
...
SHIT
I DIDN'T MEAN TO SAY THE Z WORD!
FORGIVE ME TELLTALE!
I don't know if this is even true and I tried finding a picture, but I thought Bonnie had her backpack when they walked through the herd in In Harm's Way.
At the risk of sounding like a show-off, i have my own swords, so that would be fine. Been practising sword fighting (not fencing) for some years. So let the ZA come. :P Living in a small village in a country where guns aren't allowed. That would put us high on the totempole
I live in uk.
So no guns for me.
3gunless5me
Any way , if it did happen then I have a mini axe in my house.
Not very good since it's tiny as shit.
nah, a wooden one would be better, metal ones are actually quite light, caving in a skull and destroying the brain would be easier with a wooden one, plus you could more easily put bolts or spikes on a wooden one (for easier skull cracking)
have a flint and steel, have a petrol lighter, a lantern of some sort, a swiss army knife(or similar equivalent), leather jacket and gloves, a backpack with basic camping gear (cooking pot, stove, water etc.) and space for loot/food, a basic first aid kit, a knife (big enough to kill zombies) and if possible solar/hand crank charger/torch/radio.
and i would camp places zombies couldn't get to like second floors with broken stairs, treehouses, attics etc.
A boat is still a good idea. Filter our water, catch our own food. Wait it out.
yeah, i think you would still have to return to land for certain things, but hanging out mostly at sea would be the best idea
The only threat would be pirates i suppose. Boats will be a valuable resource to have. Ofcourse the ocean is a big place.
Easy to find a nice secluded place, but then again there will be alot more traffic since im sure we wouldn't be the only people with the same idea.
yeah, but pirates in the zombie apocalypse would make a great story
and as you said the sea is a big place, and still much safer than land, plus just because bandits at sea are called pirates it doesn't make them any worse
Gladiator competition.
Something that is never done is going to deserted areas. Grab a car and head to the Canadian North where the population density is so small you would never see walkers.
Keep track of the days and time, and keep a record of the people you meet and what you're group has learned and done. All of that could be kept in a small book or two. Could be useful for passing time as well as important if you do ever manage to rebuild civilization. Maybe even make you and your friends out as heroes in the history books, hahaha
Also, head to a small town with a population density of maybe 100-200 people. There are lots of them in rural America, especially in my state. Go in there with a group at the beginning, help fortify the place, block places off, put up walls, join with the survivors, etc. You have a good amount of starting shelters, low population so less walkers to worry about (and if the place has been overrun, and your group is competent enough, you could just clear them all out), some people in the area would probably know how to farm so you can just grow and hunt your own food once scavenge runs out, and far enough from the rest of civilization so you don't have to worry about more walkers roaming in quickly or bandits trying to attack you as much.
Yeah, good one. I never figured out why Ricks group and Lee's group had to leave their farms (Hershel/St Johns).
Its remote, they had just about everything they need there. If there is a herd, just evacuate and come back later. With the St Johns farm things were even better, it was barely a herd that came through, just kill off a dozen walkers, claim the farm as your own, and done...
But yeah i can understand game/series wise it would be kinda boring if everything went fine.
Yep, Crawford/Woodbury wasnt a bad idea. The governor was just a bad leader. I personally live in a village of 3000. Kind of large compared to your 100/200 people. But If that place was cleared of walkers, it would take any herd months to get to us, and a herd usually goes somewhere for a reason (Helicopter, train noise), so they would have no reason to come here. Even if half of the population of the village was killed off through the mayhem, keeping 1500 people to protect a village is rather nice.
Also i have no idea why any sort of military would lose to a zombie army... But thats a different story entirely.
Always wear walker guts.
That would kinda smell bad... I would rather forge my own armor. Or at least cover myself with metal at the vulnerable places like your arms and your neck/shoulders.
