If you save Sarah in Episode four, you are like Carver
I have been noticing that there is a lot of foreshadowing in this game. The obvious foreshadowing ie) Raccoon with children, runs away walks into the woods, probably symbolizes leaving with either Jane or Kenny.
Well if you remember Carver gives you the speech , Carver tells Clementine that they are a lot alike. Here is how they are similar, they both slapped Sarah for the same reason, Clementine Slaps her to get Sarah to pay attention to her, Carver does the same. However Clementine had resorted to violence when all other options didn't work, so therefore people who saved Sarah are like carver. You forced your will on someone else, regardless of intent.
Here is another theory i have.
I believe Carlos was originally going to play "Kenny"s role. They make a reference that Carlos is a hot head, and when Carver finally comes up to the resort, Carlos spits in Carvers face. In episode 3, he is extremely cautious, so what changed?
I had another one but i forgot what it was, but yeah please any foreshadowing theories that you may have for this season.

Carver slapped people to hurt 'em.. Clem slapped her friend to wake her up. Very different
I think if you leave Sarah your more like Carver. Carver would have left her because she was weak and a liability.
Nick said that they'd march to some new place and someone else would die (determinant), the group then marches to the lodge, where Nick can be the first one to die from the group (determinant)

Yeah, I really don't see the similarity here. Carver would have killed off the weak to "save the many", not bothered with trying to rescue her.
The real flaw in the writing here was forcing Clem to slap Sarah no matter what.
I agree
(Restrain Sarah)
(Help Carlos)
It makes more sense, I feel Pete and Carlos were meant to have Kenny's role originally. In a sense of a more hot head way of doing things
there is a big difference from being a murderer, and trying to wake your friend up to reality.
Obviously they are not the same person... However Clementine had resorted to violence when all other options didn't work, so therefore people who saved Sarah are like carver. You forced your will on someone else, regardless of intent. Do you understand now?
Here is another theory...
If you remember when Reggie was talking about mike, about how he is "a dick when he is tired."
Right before Mike, Bonnie, and Arvo take off, you can hear Mike say "i'm tired of this shit."
They foretold mike being a dick.
this... wow. yes she did resort to violence, but it was to save her friend, if it was your kid, I'm pretty sure you would have done the same
If i slap somebody i'm Carver?
Except Carver resorts to violence right away, instead of trying other options, like he did with Sarah. Clementine tried everything to save Sarah, which Carver never would, and when that didn't work out she had to slap her. Again, very different.
This. I don´t know how the OP can´t understand this.
So your saying she was justified using violence?
I'm pretty sure the OP wants us to leave Sarah to die in that trailer.
Or Nick, for that matter.
I'd find it pretty cool if Carlos had been the one to try and mutilate Carver in revenge for getting tortured and watching his own daughter be abused. Maybe Clem would have the decision whether to let him act savage, or remind him that Sarah shouldn't have to see him be so violent again.
i feel so cheated.
OMG! To save her life, hell yes. The walker bites will be worse than a slap.
Slapping someone isn't violence, well it does physically hurt BUT:
You are basically saying that people who slap are Carver.
I don't hate Kenny/Molly 2.0, but I'm embittered by how they took the spotlight away from characters who really should have been developed further. What if Nick was the crazy guy in Episode 3 who was hellbent on pissing off Carver and trying to escape? What if Jane didn't exist and you'd have to decide on your own whether you'd risk your safety to protect a disabled girl?
What if Carver lived on to be the villain of the entire Season, rather than dying halfway through for Kenny's character arc?
Depending, on how old you are. (...) But i was suprised, when TT, wrote the file name´s called "NV_Clem_Bitchslap".
I know, this is probably supposed to be a joke, but it´s a frickin kid, dammit.
If you push someone into the path of an oncoming train, that makes you an asshole. If you don't push someone out of the path of an oncoming train, that also makes you an asshole (although to a lesser extent depending on how much danger you would be putting yourself in). Carver was an asshole. Clem is not an asshole.
I agree with your Sarah theory on the raccoons I see it this way. They are cute to look at but in reality they are a wild animals. That is why Clem is the only one who tries to catch it Bonnie and Mike know better. Not only that the whole Museum scene is just a big manipulation of Clementine to see how dumb she is or us as the player . I think the raccoons symbolize Mike, Bonnie and Arvo the three thieves.
That's the sound when Clementine get's slapped.
You...what, mate?
I think she´s thougher, than Sarah. But, she would be also be physically hurt.
Clementine slapped Sarah just like Carver did.. Lmao..
Well, Clemmy did it to save Sarah from being devoured. Carver did it because she talking to loud.
Same actions, different intentions. I mean, that's like saying YOU TAKE A POOP JUST LIKE I DO. WE'RE THE SAME PERSON
I feel like this is very unlikely. Clem did not have the same intentions Carver had. Carver wanted Sarah to stay in-line and obey him like a master, Clem wanted to keep her friend from getting killed in the worst way imaginable (even though she still does). Also I don't believe Carlos would have filled in for Kenny or Jane simply because he didn't have too much character depth, he was a doctor and loved his daughter, and that was it. Even in episode 3 he doesn't talk much and that's usually a hint from TT that, that character isn't going to last much longer.
only if you using a walkie talkie
+1 for poop anal-ogy.
I think he is taking a ridiculous starting point and running with it to mock the ridiculous argument of the OP.
Or he is just drunk.
I think the point they were trying to make was that if the writers hadn't invested so much in those two characters at the expense of the survivors introduced in the first episode, Carlos could have been a more compelling character.
The first two episodes hint at a more sinister side of him - Sarah can tell you in Episode 1 that he has let people die "but not on purpose!" and Luke warns him not to do anything "crazy or...not nice" in Episode 2. If Kenny hadn't taken up the spotlight, we could have actually focused on the rivalry between him and Carver. It's clear that they disagreed on how to raise Sarah...
carver slap sarah= discipline
Clem slap sarah= to snap out of it.
Lee's dream sequence. Foreshadow of Kenny becoming Lilly 2.0.
I think it is like they say in the game in order to protect the ones you care about sometimes you have to do bad things. It just depends on how you look at it. If you are in Carver's camp then it is his rules or you get put in your place and he thinks he is protecting people by making them follow his rules. Clem is doing it to save Sarah who will not make it out if she doesn't because she cares about her and wants to protect her. And then lays down some rules of her own on the walk back to the group.
Do you mean the Bonnie raccoon thing. Raccoon's are always getting into everything you set traps for them and when they get in there you blast them with your shotgun. That whole scene we are being played Mike is not stupid he doesn't look in the concession stand because they can get Clem to do it if you let them.
yes, in every way
Wow. I 100% forgot that I had to slap Sarah when I saved her. Interesting.
That's interesting. Good one.
Sarita not sarah
