Clementine and Kenny/Jane went back to Rebecca's corpse and breastfeed him there. Then they took Rebecca's corpse with them, so he could get more milk. That's how he survived.

They had supplies remember. Mike, Arvo and/or Bonnie ran off before they could take them. They probably just went back to the truck to get them once it was safe.

The only explanation is that Clem is probably carrying much needed supplies in the empty vacuum of her pockets, like Lee used to. So I guess we're meant to imagine a bag slung on her shoulder or something which they didn't add because they never do.
