What do you think? (How Nick should have been handled)
If I could change the The Walking Dead Season Two, I would especially change that how they handled Nick.
Nick
I think he should have never been a determinant character. Instead, he could have been killed at the end of Amid The Ruins or during the shooting in the beginning of No Going Back.
Also one thing I would like to add to In Harms`s Way. When the group goes to sleep, they fall asleep. A bit later Clementine wakes up and sees Nick sitting on one of the chairs. Clementine then rises up and goes to Nick, who sees Clementine now sitting next to him. Clementine asks why Nick is sitting here, and he tells her that he regrets shooting Matthew, and that he misses Pete. Then there would be a lot of options to choose from of what to talk with him about. In the end, Nick thanks Clementine, saying that he feels a bit better now. He then suggests her to go to sleep, as she will need it to survive the next day.
Nick Death - Amid The Ruins
During the walker attack when Rebecca is giving birth, when Sarah falls of, he would jump off to the ground to save Sarah, wanting to redeem himself. He starts lifting the stuff to get Sarah, while Bonnie shoots few Walkers. Nick gets Sarah, as the walkers begin to surround them. He then uses all his remaining powers to lift Sarah up, so Mike and Luke could lift her to safety. He then looks around and seeing his fate is sealed as he is surrounded, says his goodbyes, and tells Luke that he has been a good friend. He is then attacked and devoured by the walkers, while the others watch this in horror. Luke becomes visibly saddened, seeing his friend is now gone.
Nick Death-No Going Back
During the shootout with the Russians, when Luke gets shot on the leg, Nick sees that Buricko is going to shoot Luke, and jumps in front of him to take the bullet. He is hit in the stomach and falls to the ground. Kenny then shoots Buricko. Luke gets behind the cover and drags Nick behind it too. Nick is bleeding heavily, and says that he is going to die, which shocks Luke, who tries to stop the bleeding. After Jane has killed Vitali and the shootout is over, Mike asks where Luke is and sees Luke sitting behind the cover. The group go to investigate and see Luke sitting next to Nick, who has died from the loss of blood. Luke then says that he still has to do the one last thing- shoot Nick in the head so he would not reanimate as a walker. He asks the group to give him a few minutes, so he can do what he needs to. The group then turns around to wait. Then a shot is heard and Luke stands up to tell the group that they need to get going.
What do you think about these ideas? All feedback is welcome!

I don't mind Nick dying...
I EVEN don't mind Nick dying an off-screen death!
What I DO mind is the fact that Nick made no contribution whatsoever to the story if you save him.
Ben is the best example, he's determinant, but if you save him, he still dies, but gets to make his story arch a circle, if you get what I mean...
Should I write my ideas about other characters too?
Nice ideas. Nick was one of my favourite characters so I wish they'd kept him alive a little longer. That scene would've been really good in episode 3.
Nick dying in the shootout in No Going Back would make a lot more sense.
It's was pretty poor writing how no one from Clem's group died in that. It simply defies logic.
Aww
These are a million times better then what he ended up with! I like your idea of him dying in the shootout cuz it makes me so mad that despite them pointing guns at us from like, 2ft away, no one died or even got seriously injured.
I really liked Nick, and was disappointed at how they just dumped him in the background after Ep2 and how his death seemed like an afterthought. Same with Sarah. It just felt like they were so focused on the Kenny/Jane buildup that they needed to get rid of all the other chars as fast as possible and didnt spend any thought on making their deaths have any impact.
Nick :
All three are in the camper holed up. Nick is bleeding but he is okay. They break in and close the door behind them. They all escape. In the deck scene, Sarah still falls down, however Nick jumps down and Saves Sarah at the cost of his own life. Sarah dies in episode 5 during the escape of Arvo. Sarah runs up with her gun to protect clementine and Arvo shoots her dead.
If Nick saves Sarah, she would have to be bit, because of her determinant status.
That aside, I do really hate Nick's deaths, and these would definitely be better.
These ideas are really good! Nick didn't get much to do after Episode 2, if you save him. He's just kinda there until you kill his turned-self in episode 4.
The "No Going Back" death, I especially like. Not only does it give both Luke and Nick some nice character development (Nick saving a friend and not being a fuck up; Luke actually grieving) but it also shows that bond of friendship that we got to see back in episode 2, when Luke comforts Nick about Pete's death.
I know right? Would have been a perfect way for him to go out.
But noooooo. -_-
Perfect until Sarah's death, she should only run up to protect Clementine if you taught her how to protect herself and was her friend. If not, she may have left with Bonnie, Mike and Arvo.
Their really good ideas.
Anything is better than what the poor guy got
It's a pretty bad cop-out, and shows a real disconnect between the 4th and 5th episodes. I guess I'd be happier if Kenny and Luke died and we were left with Bonnie and Mike.
As for Nick's death: he should have died at the observation deck, giving his life to save Sarah's.
