Personal Thoughts on my Ending
[Mod edit: In order to ensure civil discussion regarding the Pizza/Ice Cream choice, I have created a Civil Character Discussion Megethread. In order to ensure there is no drama, I am locking all other threads about the choice - old and new alike. Please keep discussion in the Civil Character Discussion Megathread. Thanks! - Blind Sniper]
Edit: I created this thread to get something off my chest that I'm struggling to let go of. (Maybe I've got guilt issues to work out) I ask that you all remain tolerant of other's opinions and choices. And the that the incredibly in-depth debaters take their discussions to a different thread.
I have tried my absolute best to protect Clementine, uphold Lee's morals, and retain who she was before the outbreak. And it's all the more why I am positively GUTTED by my ending.
So much sacrifice was made for AJ throughout the season. I was just as devastated as Kenny when Jane hinted at his demise. As upset as I was with Jane, my conscience couldn't let Kenny murder her. What scares me, is that when Kenny had her pinned, I looked for an option to shoot her. My morality established dominance a second later, telling me that I knew what I had to do. I almost didn't shoot him. I comforted him as I listened to his kind last words. My only solace was that he was going somewhere better. I started to check on Jane, when we heard AJ crying. It was simply all a ruse to tip Kenny right over the edge. I was unconsolable. I just killed the only true friend Clem had left. I couldn't bring myself to forgive her. But worst of all, is that I left. Alone. I have failed in every aspect of my ideals for her. And I feel like shit.

You shouldn't feel like shit. You did what you thought was right in the heat of the moment.
I personally couldn't bring myself to shoot Kenny, so I looked away and hoped for the best. Jane dying was a shame and I resented Kenny for what he did. I decided to forgive him because Clem is safer with a companion like Kenny or Jane than by herself.
Don't feel like shit, Telltale tricked you and many others into picking the wrong ending, THOSE EVIL BASTARDS!!!1 . Just rewind and pick the ONE TRUE ENDING and live happily ever after.
Believe in the boatmaster
Don't worry about it, its just a game.
Well shit, you've been sarcastic the whole time. Great, now I'm startin' to like you.
How come Clem is safer with Kenny? He almost made Clementine take a beating from Carver by forcing her to take the walkie talkie. His stubborn behaviour caused the group to fall appart and Clementine got shot because of that. And he completely ignored Clementine when she was freezing to death after she fell under ice, because he was too busy beating Arvo for no reason.
It doesnt matter what we know about the fight between Jane and Kenny. From Kennys point of view, AJ died while Jane was taking care of him and he was ready to murder her because of that. Would any reasonable person try to murder someone else just because they believe they did something wrong? Killing someone is such a exreme and permanent thing to do, that you should be sure before you do it. I wouldnt want to be around person like that.
Not every thread has to have Kenny V Jane. This thread about some person's personal choice, please don't forget that.
Pft, Alone is best ending, no fuckin' annoying people, no distracting personalities, no arguments, just Clem and AJ, who's surviving on the blood of their enemies. Hell, if Clem can keep AJ alive for 9 days, she's probably fine. And if AJ cries, she can run, walkers are slow, and I distinctly remember Kenny yelling and running in the herd and being fine. Also, Alone means you don't have the argue with people on this forum, you can just sit back and roast marshmellows.
Don´t feel bad about your ending, you did what you thought was right.
I personally went with Jane and turned the family away. A lot of people probably felt bad when they did that but I simply felt a sense of pride for Clementine.

how are they full of shit, its a opinion about a video game.
Let me set things straight, I like Jane OK
Now we've cleared that up I'll get to my point. Clem has more chance of survival with Kenny (whether you like him or not) than being by herself. The apocalypse is harsh for anyone let alone a young girl, even if she has proven herself a capable survivor. Kenny is a good man at heart with a hot temper. But he cares for Clem just as Jane clearly cared for her as well.
I'm not condoning Kenny's actions in the slightest. But Clem has to do what's best for her. And that is any thing but being alone with a baby in a world where crying sounds attract bad attention. Mainly the type that results in getting chomped on by a walker.
Exactly, thank you.
Clem is safer with Kenny or Jane rather than being alone, where does he say Kenny is better?
You shouldn't had explained that, zykelator clearly read your last line as "Clem is safer with a companion like Kenny than Jane or by herself." rather than what you actually wrote.
Let it go, Zyke. Not everyone has to think like you. Could you stop permeating the forums with your arguing just once?
My approach might seem sarcastic but a fact is a fact. Kenny is perfection.
[removed]
Lee would have done the same.
I need to correct YOU zykelator. I'm sorry but HOW did she almost get a beating? No matter what you say to carver about the walkie talkie KENNY protects Clem by saying he did it! Meaning he got the beating from it for protecting Clem! So In my opinion your first fact is bull.
Kenny was trying to protect Clem by killing Jane, He thought that Jane didn't look after AJ and he died so he didn't want Clem to be around her. So in my opinion your second fact is also bull. I would want to be around a person like Kenny
The Kenny Endings may as well have an electronic marquis scrolling the text THESE ARE THE GOOD ENDINGS AND YOU DID A GOOD JOB.
Perfection is a hard standard to live up to but optimal pro-strat S2 runs would side with Kenny, yes. The guy's like the Moses/Jesus/Wolverine combo pack.
It said its safer to be with Kenny than being alone?
I give you an example:
If Clem is weaponless, in the middle of a herd, with Jane somewhere near but not that near and she calls out for her help:
Jane: Nope, Clem. Why do I have to risk my life for you if it’s obvious you are as good as dead? That´s fucking stupid.
If Clem is weaponless, in the middle of a herd, with Kenny somewhere near but not that near and she calls out for his help:
Kenny: I coming for you! Hold on!
Actually, Clem got shot because Arvo didn´t know her sister had reanimated as a walker and he thought Clem had killed her.
Luke´s death was not enough for a reason? Thinking that Arvo had lied and being frustrated for having taking the chance he was telling the truth is not enough of a reason? Okay.
Of course it matters.
Lol, nope. From Kenny´s point of view, Jane killed AJ when she was supposedly taking care of him.
If this something wrong is killing a baby, especially a baby that 'reasonable person' has a personal attachment to, hell yes.
Are you forgetting that her plan was to kill Kenny? Okay.
If I had to choose between Kenny and Jane as a companion, in a zombie apocalypse, I could choose Kenny without thinking about it.
Read the comment again. Heck say it out load if that helps for heavens sake. Just get the facts right next time.
A wise man once said: “You didn't have a choice. You think you do, when you look back on it. But in a moment? When things are really out of control? You don't have any choice.”
Mike proposes he takes the walkie talkie to Luke, but Kenny forces Clementine to take it. Kenny put Clementine in huge danger, because Carver would have just beaten the shit out of Clem.
Jane was no threat no Clementine and you are delusional if you think so
good god just imagine how peaceful the forums would be. We wouldn't get so many delusional angry people trying to justify why they got tricked into choosing the Bad Non-Canon Ending.

And? As evidence would have it, they are right.
If you go with Kenny you end up behind safe walls. If you go it alone you end up wandering through a hoard of walkers.
You quoted it yourself, it says "a companion like Kenny or Jane"
Making urbans proud since the 70's.
Nope.
Jane was dangerous several times, even without ill intent. You don't know what delusional means so please stop using it.
This debate ends here.
Yes per usual Zykelator can't accept people having a different world view than himself. If we are delusional you are a ignorant douche who by any means wants to convince people to think like you. Manipulation of facts, bashing, and your need to protect your view at every turn.
Don't tell me how I'm wrong, this is my perception of all I've seen you wrote. Not a fact.
How was jane dangerous to Clem?
It was her plan.
Lee would have done what the player would want him to do, so...
She provoked a Russian gang to ambush them and left her in a truck in the middle of a Blizzard.
zykelator, I respect yours and each and every forum members opinion. I appreciate that you feel strongly enough for a character to defend them endlessly, but you need to change the record. You think Jane is the right person to be with right? Well then you can be with her. The game gives you that choice so what's the problem?
There have been countless times when I've disagreed with people on this forum but that doesn't mean I'm going to challenge them on it every chance I get. I believe in respect on these forums. We're all here for the same reason. Because we enjoy playing and discussing Telltale Games The Walking Dead.

I meant there is no point to continue conversation, because his arguments are so full of shit that i wont even bother replying. Besides, there is no point trying to reason with him.
