Carver could have easily taken Arvos place
Imagine if Carver wasn't killed off so fast how great the story would have been. You escape Carvers camp by the end of ep4 he and his men track you down again, shootout happens and Carver is captured, Kenny goes nuts on him and he makes his point about that being the new way of life and so on. Would have worked much better that the stupid Russians with terrible Russian VA's.

If it was Carver, no one would've given a shit about Kenny trying to beat him to death.
ya i was disappointed that they killed carver off so fast, they should've made it seem like the walkers got him but actually escaped with troy and wyatt and tavia went with him, it would've been so much better.
season 2 was still good though.
Nah,I bet Mike and Bonnie would've still kissed his ass.
Only if the plot demanded it.
If it was ep2 Carver and not the sadist they made him to be in ep3 then it would have worked well.
Good idea, but I don't get why people still think the Russians were dumb. Group encounters happen lots in TWDG, the St Johns and bandits in S1, the Scavengers and Russians in S2, like it does in the comics
I heard that the Russian in episode 5 improved because Michael Ark also did the voice acting for Vitali in episode 5.
nah, I don't think so
It was never explained what they where doing in US. It seems like TTG writers got drunk and tossed around crazy ideas of what could be added to the game and came up with Russians. They where never developed as characters so you really didn't care about them. Choosing to beat Carver and become like him would have been as great as Crooked Mans ending from TWAU, where he could be given the opportunity to explain his point of view and maybe reveal what was those bad things Cabin group supposedly did, who was the guy Alvin killed, what was going on with him Rebecca and Alvin and so on.
We got the gist of it though imo. They were struggling survivors like our group, and on occasion groups don't really get to explain to each other that they ain't bad guys, they have to protect their own first and foremost, even if that means robbing groups whom supposedly took their meds. I thought it was immersive enough that they didn't just sit back and explain their history and motives to us. I agree with you that Carver idea would've been amazing, unsure why they didn't do anything like that ;/ It really seems like the Carver plot was changed or almost condensed, they gave us almost no info
