I think my favorite would have to be Salty Seas
opens youtube
searches "Take Us Back"
silently cries
That is the true best credits song.
I honestly didn't care for "In the Water", or "Remember Me".
Ironic how the most disliked episode has the most liked song.
Oh, god.
Play all of them at the same time.
That was beautiful.
Remember me, salty seas, and in the pines
i just don't like the final episodes credit songs.. there's no vocalist.... it's kinda opposite of season 1's credits they have a vocalist singing the last episode but the previous doesn't have song credits...
replace with this song instead xD

It was for nostagia more than anything since Alive Inside was very used on S1.
Salty Seas
In The Pines
In The Water
I think first to qualify for a spot on this poll, the song has to be a song. The credits music for EP5 is a track, not a song. Personally, I couldn't get into "Salty Seas". It fit well with the shock and what-not, but when went back to it I just couldn't get into it. It felt too slow. Each song fit with the episode they were played after during the credits roll, but some of them were only strengthened because they were played after the particular episode they were chosen for. "In the Pines" is great for that bolder and thematic mood, but it doesn't really fit well with the tone of the Walking Dead universe overall.
So my list is as follows:
"In the Water" is my favorite because it captures that struggle in this horrible new world created after the fall of civilization, the struggle to live with other human beings, to live with yourself after what you may have done just to stay alive, and finally the struggle to just live. It also has it's moments were if you were to sing it, you could sing loudly and proudly if you wanted, it doesn't require a shallow breath to be sung properly.
"Remember Me" is more or less about the same thing, but with a bigger focus on the people you meet and their eventual death. People don't die of old age anymore, and people experience the death of their loved ones a lot more and a lot sooner than they used to, and you really surprise yourself when you stop and think about the people who died way before those who recently have, or something reminds you of the people you lost.
Personally in that situation I'd be struggling for ways to keep their memory, if I could just find a notebook or a sheet of paper to write them on, tear of sheets to write up backups to store in more than one place(jeans, under my hat, in my coat pocket, in my shirt pocket, inside my shoe, in my sock, in my backpack, etc). So that one has a special spot with me.
My top 3
Really?
No not really, but it was an interesting mix.
"in the water" was nicer without lyrics.
"in the pines" on the other hand was nicer because of the new singer.
i really disliked season 1 soundtrack. i tried to make a walking dead trailer with it and really only "armed with death" was any good for that.
'In the Pines' will always be my favorite from Season 2. A House Divided is my second-favorite episode out of both seasons, second only to No Time Left. When I finished A House Divided, and that song came on, I just got chills.
5.) No Going Back - 'Alive Inside'
4.) In Harm's Way - 'Remember Me'
3.) All That Remains - 'In the Water'
2.) Amid The Ruins - 'Salty Seas'
1.) A House Divided - 'In the Pines'
