kenny vs. jane analysis video
i have brought up quiet often in this forum that your decisions heavily influences how you perceive the characters. but that argument does not seem that convincing without proper visual aid (especially if you have not played through the multiple times).

Also, I liked the video. I'm interested in character analysis--not in a "this one's right and that one's wrong" way, but because I'm a writer and I find all this fascinating. So yes, I think "Kenny vs. Jane" is interesting, but only if both options are treated as equally good choices.
I wish only that Jane had been around since the beginning so we could see a clearer picture of her. With Kenny there's more data because Clem has known him longer.

I come onto this forum to talk about the game. Problem is 99% of threads are about Kenny and Jane. I think I'll leave if things don't change. It really is beginning to become tiring.
There will always be a shitstorm until Season 3 comes out. Anything that can be discussed about Season 3 for the time being will always turn into a "Kenny vs Jane" argument. It's Telltale's fault for making bad endings that won't even be canon anyways.
But that´s one of the things: the endings aren´t going to matter, we´re all going to get the same storyline soon into S3. So all of this...is pointless.
I don´t really get into any debates or anything but when a thread turns 98% into Jane vs Kenny, it´s hardly possible to post anything relevant anymore. This needs to stop, but it sure as hell won´t. At least not soon enough.
I like discussing this great game. The Jane and Kenny ending should be discussed. Maybe a couple threads regarding this, but the amount we get is ridiculous. There are no right or wrong answers, just what you as an individual believes is the right thing to do in that situation. 100 threads later and we'll still be at the same point we are now.
I did read the thread. I know he's a Jane fan. I just want to get a reaction out of him. He's the one who posts half of this Jane vs Kenny nonsense.

I suppose I'm a Kenny fan because I preferred him to Jane, but maybe if I'd known Jane longer I'd have liked her better. Who knows? I thought the side-by-side thing was amazing--I'll be happy to watch more if you put them up.

the problem with this comparisons is, that jane is by far the more misunderstood character.
not many shoot kenny because they dislike him.
so there is far more to talk about her.
There were shitstorms everywhere since the last episode came out. Of course we're going to assume a thread with Jane vs Kenny is gonna escalate.

going though all the choices it became much more understandable.
if you accept jane's statements about kenny, she even defends him. if you go straight against it, she gets more firm.
That was my experience in game but in everybody I've dealt with insists that Jane was some devil in the corner undermining Kenny and the group. It got tiresome. It's good to see something that can't be refuted reasonably. If people watch this and still persist in their attacks they can't even pretend they're trying to be objective. Nice work.
i guess it gets a little too slow in the last sentences. i absolutely wanted to get it finished yesterday, so it was past 2 am in the end.
glad i still could appear objective. considering i myself am 100% sure killing kenny was the right choice and that (this video was supposed to be half about kenny's and half jane's point of view, but) i ended up showing more about jane.

These videos are great. I honestly think a good number of anti-Jane peeps forget how she actually acted in the game, and since Kenny said she was a crazy person with her own agenda, they take these words more seriously than they should. Also, her emotions are much more subtle compared to the rest of the characters, and many people say she's heartless or emotionless when really she does have emotion but she tries very hard not to show sadness or vulnerability etc. in order to not appear weak probably. Thus she often seems cold to us.
I also like how you pointed out that Jane was a loner for the longest time, but then she opened herself up somewhat to Clem's group, and then Bonnie and Mike betrayed her (leaving her mostly because of Kenny, and thus possibly fueling Jane's anger towards Kenny "They're scared of you," etc.) That's gotta really hurt Jane to be betrayed as soon as she decides to let others in past her recently lowered walls. Until you mentioned it, I didn't realize that. Good job; hope to see more!
