I will say all of this once, and once only, for the purpose of having my opinion on record. I refuse to be sucked into this moronic "Yuh-huh/Nuh-uh" argument. I might be willing, at some point, to have reasoned discourse about the various drawbacks and merits of each of the endings, but all this saber-rattling is completely pointless. Doubly pointless ()if anything can be said to be doubly complete) considering that whichever camp you're in, your preferred character is ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED not to survive S3E1.
That said, Why Jane? Let me preface by saying that after that shit she pulled, I'll never look at her the same way again. I went with her anyway because I didn't want Clem to have to be alone with AJ. If I can be said to have a "team," that's the one. Team AJ all the way.
The reasons I shot Kenny, in no particular order:
--That poor, lovable bastard might've gotten his head on straight (straight as was normal for Kenny, anyway) eventually... then again, maybe not. I wasn't so sure he hadn't been pushed a little too far to ever return. Irrevocably traumatized or not, I don't believe a thinking man can make the argument that he hadn't come a bit unhinged. Though watching him die is the one and only time a video game has ever made me cry. FFVII and GTA IV came close, but they only got me misty-eyed and scrunchie-faced.
--This one's primary. I liked what it did for the story. Clem was tasked with the awful responsibilty of playing God: deciding who lives and who dies. I preferred for her to make that choice through action as opposed to inaction. More importantly, I wanted her to cross that line. To have to kill someone for the first time when killing them, while perhaps the right decision, wasn't obviously the one and only viable course of action.
--Here's the one that's really going to ruffle some feathers. Right up until the moment that I realized how needlessly Jane had risked AJ (Never in any danger my ass! You don't leave a baby in a car on a pleasant spring day in our much more forgiving normal world, let alone during a blizzard with visible zombies about!) she had reminded me ALOT of Lee. I figured, if Clem's gonna end up with somebody, let it be her.I'm still not convinced it might not' have been the better decision. She's a much more skilled survivor than Kenny ever was, and may yet have some good things to teach Clementine.
Because they were tricked and felt they should do what the game was practically yelling at them to do without stopping to think about the ways in which they were being manipulated.

I mean it's not that big a mystery.
I'm not going to close this thread - for now - but please behave. If you come across a post or a thread that you feel is trying to bait users into an argument, just ignore it.
I have to ask, why don't you just close this thread? It's pointless because Jane threads practically always ask for trouble. The OP is just mad that his ending isn't the one most people picked in a game with multiple endings.

mybe the bomb thing isnt a good comparsion but couldnt come up with one that has a man forcing a 11 year old girl to walk around a enemy camp with a stolen radio..but I think if Carver found her with it away from the group he would be kind about it...Its not like hes bad or even if he was bad kenny had no way of knowing that......Kenny doing what Lee would do..way to go man
Murder is the worst thing a person can do, other than doing terrible things followed by murder. I have shown zero tolerance for murder this… more far, and while it pained me to do it, I could not let Kenny murder Jane. If Jane would have been on top bringing the knife down on Kenny I would have shot her without even feeling bad about it.
In my "cannon" save file I didn't forgive Jane, however I didn't leave her either. I stayed silent when she asked me to forgive her. I know that she's fucked in the head and I will never forgive her for putting AJ at risk and for not speaking up and telling Kenny that AJ is alive, however Clem's chances of survival are better if she's not alone (well, you know, if you're not meta-gaming it).
It's about loyalty, trust and safety, not whom we've known the longest. I love Kenny but in the fight Jane seemed the most stable and most of all of them
I'm sorry but you're some of your comments make you the most annoying person on this forum. All you do is shit on Jane fans and talk about how much you love Kenny. At first I thought you were trolling but seriously you need to chill, these Kenny is a saint Jane is the devil comments got old a long time ago.
Every individual picks her/his own decision based on their intelligence and information.
My opinion?
Kenny has been through a lot. Seeing his loved ones dieing made him broken. Insane and becoming a liability. Shown bad decisions in the past and basically hates you if you don't agree with him all the time.
Jane was obsessed with Clementine, she did what she thought was good. But ended up insane. She eventually thought that killing Kenny would be better for all of us.
In that situation you obviously had to pick a side -- or neither.
I picked neither. I support Clementine's dialogue from Season 2 Episode 1: All That Remains: "I try to avoid crazy people as much as possible."
In the zombie apocalypse, mental state is important. I don't want to be in a group full of mentally unstable people. Clementine deserves better. Clementine knows better.
(by the way, i didn't spare Jane or Kenny. I let Kenny kill Jane and I killed Kenny.)
I think they could escape tbh. Telltale must know that we expect Kenny and Jane to be Omid' in S3 so if they put enough effort in, say, make them the only two determinants in S3 they could manage it imo. It depends on how much they really care. Mass Effect manages it with multiple characters, Telltale on a smaller budget can manage with two main characters. If they want to

For the Police? I know that's irrelevant in the Walking Dead, but still, Clem did 'technically' murder Kenny by shooting him.
Look I don't want a full-blown argument here which will all probably just blow down to a Kenny/Jane argument, I was simply just pointing out a point in your comment.
Do you misread people's posts on purpose or something?
its not murder when its to defend someone else.

He was going to flat out murder Jane. You may be fine with that... Hell you probably enjoyed it... I didn't and I wasn't.
I didn't enjoy it, I'm not a psychopath you know...
I was referring to the second part of your comment, not the first.
That's why people who kill someone in self defence aren't thrown in prison for murder. That's why people who kill someone in self defence aren't thrown in prison for murder. That's why people who kill someone in self defence aren't thrown in prison for murder.
I don't want to get involved in some shouting match with you, but both sentences talk about two different things, self-defence and defending someone else, Read my Comment.

One doesn't have to be on the Police force to justify using lethal force to stop somebody from trying to murder someone else. If a killer is in your home trying to murder your loved one (s) you are justified to use lethal force to stop them. In this case, it's not murder.

I live in England and so the whole 'To what extent can I defend my property, etc, etc.' is quite a ... unsure subject, I'm not too sure what I can do in that situation legally.

Yeah that's probably because there wouldn't be much of a game if they didn't have stuff like that. One of the big reasons for people like myself that don't like a little girl being the main character. It's not realistic to have a bunch of adults sending a child to do dangerous tasks.

Aw, I see. In that case then, I wouldn't know since I'm not familiar with the laws there in England. But if you were living here in the US, then you would be justified in taking lethal action in the example I've stated above.

He didn't give her the radio to hurt her, someone who puts a bomb somewhere does, that is a extremely stupid comparison.
Actually Clem only knew Jane for about 4 days or so...

I suppose only Jane fans were being manipulated?
By "good" i'm talking about Season 1 level of good![:) :)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

These are the threads that get people in ban-worthy trouble and make others leave. Can you not?
She doesn't have to be around forever to appear to posess a similar demeanor and a similar manner with Clementine.

I know I was just correcting it, he put clem knew Jane for a few months when in reality it wasn't even a week

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE PLAY A VIDEO GAME THE SAME WHY I DID
its not murder when its to defend someone else. Thats why people who kill someone in self defense aren't thrown in prison for murder.
Insane ramblings = argument?
If you hate the fanbase and the developer decisions, why even play the game and go on these forums and start stupid shit?
It's not murder to use lethal force to stop somebody who is trying to murder somebody else.
That's alright
Poor Christa and Omid just ejected from the game as if they didnt matter.
Clem didn't shoot Kenny in self defence? Kenny hadn't hurt Clem.

Technically you kill him. Murder is not the same as killing:
Okay, Okay, fair dos you win this one.
I was only pointing out that you did kill Kenny because his actions provoked you to do so.
Much like Jane's actions provoked Kenny to do so, so the question is; was Kenny going to kill or murder Jane?
