So Season 2 has a really awesome soundtrack

I really liked this Seasons soundtrack over the first, and the first seasons was great. There were just a few extra little things that gave Season 2 the edge for me, but you can't go wrong with either, they are both excellent.

Here are a few things I really liked about Season 2's Soundtrack
You had an awesome opening theme, that set the tone of the game immediately from the jump.

You also had unique themes for each of the episode select screens. These little things really helped in creating a great atmosphere, before you've even started playing.

Anadel did such a fantastic job on the few Credits, and Trailer themes they did. If I had to pick an overall theme for the entire season it would probably be "In The Water", a very fitting song. On the subject of the Credits, Janel Drewis did a lovely cover of the 19th Century Folk Song "In The Pines". I know Nirvana did a cover, but I didn't really feel they captured the correct emotion of the lyrics. Also Salty Seas by Devics was another nice song.

Another person who did a fantastic job was Jared Emerson-Johnson, who composed the in-game Soundtrack. Whether it be frantic, calm, sad, ambient, the tunes he created conveyed the correct emotion in all the scenes. Here are a few of my favorites that he did. (I won't embedd these links as so many embedded videos may cause lag for some of you)

The theme that plays when Clementine washed ashore and was on her own. It's not sad or happy, It seems to convey the unknown and uncertainty of what's ahead.

The theme that plays after Clementine was attacked by Sam and wandered into the jungle. This is a perfect tune, that encapsulates the sadness and desperation of the scene.

The theme that plays when Clementine is with Sarah. Season 1 had a lot of awesome acoustic tunes, and this was another really great one.

Well, I'll have stop there or else I'll end up posting every single tune haha. Clementine and Carver both had a lot of great standalone themes, but since none of the tunes are really titled, it's difficult to find them.

  • I always liked the Mystery Duck song. In Season 1 Eposode 3.

  • The original theme for Episode 4 was great - an ominous war-horn that gave you the sense that Clementine was going down a very dark path. Too bad it was replaced by a more generic theme.

I also love the tracks associated with Carver. They're catchy tunes, but also contain an aura of menace. My favorite was the tune that accompanied his presence in No Going Back's trailer.

    - Even though only a truncated version of his theme was used in Episode 2's trailer, I still find this theme provides a sense of adventure and excitement.

    - Kenny's beatdown scene is one of my favorites in the Season precisely because of the creepy simplicity of its track.

    - Even the music surrounding his death sounds evil, especially since it's a distortion of the music that accompanied Kenny's original sacrifice in the first Season.

Those were some great ones you posted. Carvers overall soundtrack was just great and fit his character and the mood that surrounded him really well

Episode 4s got replaced but I still think it was a pretty great "haunting" esque tune

Do you or anybody else here have the original Episode 4 title theme? I remember it being really great, but I can't find it anywhere online

  • Shoutout to MikonReborn for being awesome!

The funny thing about the current menu theme for Omid The Ruins was that it was actually used back in the first Season during the scene where Doug and Lee were looking at the zombies outside the pharmacy.

  • Haha thanks man! I didn't realize this was on Mikons channel.
I'm under the assumption they had different plans for episode 4/5 but changed them. I remember they discussed changing a few plans in episode 5 because they felt Clementines character was not that far gone yet. Or something along those lines.

  • That song would be Salty Seas by Devics

    Here ya go

The singer/song that plays out the credits of Episode 4; can anyone tell me who/what it is? My attention span is too law to concentrate on the credits each time I watch it.

Yeah, I also think that they changed their plans after Episode 1 once the prospect of Season 3 became likely. Episode 3's slide implied that Rebecca would have given birth at Howe's, while Episode 4 implied that Clementine would have become a child soldier (the hat representing her link to her parents is gone, she's applying blood as war-paint, and she's surrounded by shadowy non-zombie men) and the fifth Episode's slide implied that all the dead lie down.

Hopefully that means the really twisted stuff has been saved up for teenage Clem!

  • Welp that's unfortunate. It appears MikonReborn closed their Youtube account :(

  • Damn it! It's almost as if he knew about this thread!

  • I liked the soundtrack and thought it was pretty good. Probably my second or third favorite video game soundtrack.

  • I agree that the game had a fantastic soundtrack both in the score and the songs at the end of the episodes. In The Water is gorgeous. Didn't Telltale say there would be a soundtrack release after all the eps were released? I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

  • Salty Seas was probably my favourite credits song, and favourite track.

Gotta thank Telltale, never heard of Devics before, but I wish I had earlier.

  • Jared Emerson-Johnson's score for season 2 was one of the few things season 2 did better than season 1. "Run" is still an awesome track, as well as "Aimless", "Sneaking", "Forgiveness", "Carver's Beliefs", "The Clock is Ticking", "Two Sides", and many others.

The different songs for each credit sequence was also a nice touch.

  • Mikkon's channel is gone :( where can I find season 2 music?

    Thanks buddy!

I agree that season 2 had an amazing soundtrack and I really enjoyed the credit songs that played at the end of every episode like In the Pines. I also liked the songs from the trailers, especially Clementine's theme from episode 5 trailer which featured this song too but I don't know if it's part of Clementine's theme or if it's just something created just for the trailer:

Telltale also re-used some season 1 songs like Alive Inside and One Choice (in amid the ruins I think) which I really like too:
