Jane was wrong and here's why.
[Mod edit: In order to ensure civil discussion regarding the Pizza/Ice Cream choice, I have created a Civil Character Discussion Megethread. In order to ensure there is no drama, I am locking all other threads about the choice - old and new alike. Please keep discussion in the Civil Character Discussion Megathread. Thanks! - Blind Sniper]
There is no way I can condone her action.
Not morally, not objectively, not any way.... Here's why.
Kenny at that time (After everything he has been through) was not in a good emotional state. Nobody at his point would of been, he was emotionally scarred in a world where life was barely hanging on and humanity was/has fallen apart. He had no control over many emotions at times and it was bad, yes. But you can replace him with any other person in the entire world (Even Lee, I can't imagine what he would of went through if Clementine died, AND he saw 3 other loved ones die in front of his eyes.) and it would of had the same effect.
Just as he had changed for bad after going through all that, he could of changed to be the good old Kenny we know he can be given time. Not only that, but I believe he would/will become a better person than he started as he now has so much experience and can understand anyone who goes through the same things he did. Anyone can get back to being emotionally stable if they really work on it (Which he admitted he was!)
• TL;DR Part 1 - Kenny was emotionally damaged. It wasn't irreparable and could be fixed (As many people in this day and age go to therapy, anger management, etc. Mental problems from life changing experiences are not permanently damaging.)
So with that in mind, what gives her the right to take advantage of Kenny in his current state? What gives her the right to lie, leaves the baby in a car, instigate what is guaranteed a fight and puts even more stress on a person who really doesn't need any more, he needs less of it and needs time to recover?
She doesn't have that right. I don't give a fuck what her intentions are, how the fuck did she think that would go?
She didn't like being around Kenny, she wanted to be around Clementine. So she decided to show us how "evil/bad" Kenny can be. Jane, we already know what he is capable of. We have known him longer than anyone left alive. What the fuck are you trying to prove here?
That if you pull a knife on him, instigate a fight with him and claim you "Accidentally" killed a baby that he would be outraged in his current state?????
What a mature person would do is realize her options.
• You either like Clementine enough to deal with Kenny,
• Talk to Clementine and see how she feels about leaving Kenny,
• Talk to Kenny and try to understand him instead of fighting fire with fire (Like the car scene)... Aka "Be the bigger person".
• Or you cut your loses and move on. Explain to Clementine that you can't/refuse be around Kenny and go your own way.
Any one of those options is a better way of dealing with the situation. What she did, it's wrong. She was not understanding towards Kenny's current state and that gave her no right to provoke him like that.
You can see Kenny talk about how he is trying really hard to change and become better if you didn't shoot him. He doesn't deserve to be treated like Jane did. She fucked up and she rightfully so died in my playthrough.
What she did to kenny is no different then what happened in crawford in a way. Taking the people that currently had problems/issues and "getting rid" of them instead of trying to solve it and help each other.
With all my heart, I say Fuck Jane. If I had the choice I wouldn't have killed her... but I would of easily left her behind in the same way Lily was in some people's play through.

Oh look! Another Kenny vs Jane thread! JUST WHAT WE NEEDED!
Instead of complaining , why not make an actual usefull thread?
I've made several. They last about a day then get buried under a whole bunch of NEW AND ORIGINAL AND EXCITING AND WONDERFUL AND PRODUCTIVE Kenny vs Jane threads.
If I were a moderator I'd merge all of the Kenny/Jane threads. Just saying.
This could have been a comment in an already existing thread.
Fair enough.
Wow, it's never going to stop is it? This just makes me wish all the more that Kenny had stayed dead in season 1.
Soon "all that remains" will be "a house divided" by Kenny and Jane fans. We will be in "harms way" for sure. We're "amid the ruins" of this forum gone to hell, but there is "no going back".
That was beautiful.

IT"S YOUR OPINION ITS NOT FACT
:-{D-
It isn't as childish as Jane not wanting to be around Kenny. It was her genuinely believing he was a threat to them, if it was trivial dislike she'd leave or work on it, I don't like what she did but your OP needs editing.
FuckJane
Okay, I'll try this.
Jane did try talking to Clementine, indicating staying around Kenny was bad, and did suggest leaving him when they where in the car. Admittedly, at that point it would have been a shitty thing to do, leaving Kenny in the lurch in the snowstorm.
Also, Kenny wouldn't listen to Clementine, or anyone else in the group. I agreed with them all that going back South was a good idea at that point (my idea was to go back to Howes and then load up on stuff and try again for Wellington, alas though not a full option to say). When I said to Kenny we should go back down South he goes 'no, we're looking for Wellington and that's it'. Basically, he wasn't in a state to be reasoned with by anyone.
Kenny says that he's trying to change, but honestly I think he was a bit beyond that. He was remorseful of his actions, but he didn't change. Not because I don't think he didn't want to, he just couldn't. Even as far back as in Season 1 he simply didn't adjust to the realities of the ZA, which isn't a criticism of him, it's just how he was in it.
Jane as well didn't simply do it for a fight. I'm sure those two wouldn't have got on even if things were relatively okay. Heck I even struggled with him a lot as Lee. Like I say he's a difficult man to reason with. He gets a plan that drives him and has to follow it through, good or bad. My thoughts about the boat in S1 was that there would be no boat because everyone would have tried that and presumably his boat would have been stolen/used for parts by then. Kenny's drive is good for a group though because when things go bad he can keep people focused on something. The bad thing was he simply lost a lot of critical thought with his experiences.
Let's not forget as well what all the others had been through in recent days. Luke had lost his main core group of friends (basically his ersatz family) of the last few days. He was despondent but he wasn't beating up a kid. Jane told us she had lost her sister in similar circumstances to Sarah, and it's implied she was having sex with some guy at Howes, who I would guess it was closer to rape since meaningful relationships don't end with being shot in the balls like that. So devils advocate here, Kenny wasn't the only one to have had bad experiences, what makes it different for us as players is that we were very close to him and saw him go through it all. Your arguments rely on people only being empathetic to Kenny alone- everyone in the game has lost people, and probably in horrific ways as well.
Okay. The fight. The situation was that Kenny immediately went to the conclusion that she killed the baby killer and started trying to beat her. This was the main thing she wanted Clementine to see. It escalated though, and both were trying to kill each other. I simply can't condone either persons actions in this. The big what if is what if Clementine had lost the baby? How would Kenny have reacted to that? Not as bad as that because he likes Clementine, but he's not going to pat her on the head and go 'oh well' is he? He had become unstable and dangerous to the group, and yes by this point a liability. His actions made Mike and Bonnie want to leave the group on their own, no one else's.
Kenny would only work in a group were it was him and Clementine and AJ. His drive was to protect them and that was by getting Wellington. The situation was though that there were still 4 other people that had opinions and stuck in the North with no supplies in winter was really dangerous.
