****/***** probably killed themselves if you left them behind...
Jane and Kenny most likely committed suicide if you left them at the playground.
Allow me to elaborate on why I believe this:
First off, Kenny. Kenny is at a point where he truly, truly wants death. He doesn't trust himself to take care of Clementine and AJ, as proven by what he says if you leave him behind and if you shoot him (both before he kills Jane and afterwards). Kenny obviously has severe mental issues due to the extreme amount of pain he has gone through, and with the last two people he loved walking off into the snow, he would have seen no more purpose in his life.
Now, I know many of you may disagree with Jane committing suicide as well, but she is only slightly less likely a candidate. Remember what she says to Clementine, as she is walking off?
"I can't do this without you, Clem."
Jane, as many people might be able to tell, has developed serious emotional attachment to Clementine (one might call it almost Kenny-like in regards to AJ). Having lost her sister due to her inability to keep trying, she was obviously very broken on the inside. We saw a glimpse of that when we first met her, when she was sitting off all alone. We saw even more of it when she talks about Jaime to Clem for the first time, and even more of it after the death of Sarah at the trailer park and when Jane leaves the group. Jane left because she couldn't handle the thought of witnessing Clem dying, as she said herself. When she came back, she even admitted to Clem that she was 90% of the reason she came back (the other 10% likely being Luke, as judging by her emotional distress after the death of Luke, she really did care about him). Now, with the truck gone, Clem and AJ gone, and everybody else gone, what hope does Jane have left anymore in a blizzard of her own pain and a literal blizzard?

Jane of all people is the least candidate to commit suicide.
Remember Katjaa? People who seem strong and composed are often broken inside.
Katjaa seemed strong and composed to you? If really pay attention you can see the despair all over her face when she talks.
I agree.
And when you speak to Jane you see an honest assertive women
I mean, she acted strong and composed. So does Jane. Jane also often has a serious look of despair on her face. You can see it when you look at her when she talks about Jaime. You can see it when Clem walks off.
Can't deny thatof course you'll see despair when she talks about Jaime but it's hard to talk about your late love one.
I understand Jane isn't somebody anybody would imagine to commit suicide, but I definitely see some parallels between Katjaa and Jane in the sense of how they tried to compose themselves, versus what they actually had on the inside.
I agree with what you say, but you're saying that Jane is really strong and does her best to hold her emotions and make a pretense about her true self, could be. But like I said, it's really outlandish for her to commit suicide, the fact that she could have done it in a span of two years in the PA.
Or they could not. After all, Jane's been toughing it out and been strong since she left her sister behind. So what if she got rejected by Clem? You're implying that this would just be too much for her just because she admits she can't, like she'd just end her own life after making that kind of confession.
And I just don't believe Kenny is the type to commit suicide. It is possible to want death but see it as wrong to force it on yourself. Remember, he held Katjaa to a higher standard and was surprised when he discovered her dead. He looked down on suicide.
She just barely held it together. At the end of almost every interaction with her you could see her sadness, even before Duck was bit.
I agree, sorry for giving you a hard time mate.
Well, many would imagine that with all Kenny has been through he would have already committed suicide. But he's still alive. What I'm saying is that it's definitely possible that she did or did not commit suicide afterwards. I personally believe that she did, but I'm simply in search of feedback of this idea.
It's very well possible that they could not.
I have my own ideas about how Jane and Kenny's heads work and who they really are on the inside, because that's something we'll never know for sure and is up to the player. I believe Jane's "tough girl" approach is simply her trying to get by without anybody, but on the inside she truly feels that she needs somebody close to her to truly live. I also believe Kenny to be somewhat hypocritical in the sense of suicide, as his attempt to "save Ben" was very suicide influenced, as he kicked Lee out and shut the gate, and that after all the pain of the next year and a half, he would be even more prone to wanting to commit suicide.
If the plan to provoke Kenny wasn't suicidal, I don't know what is!
That being said, I think they both have a bit of a death-wish. Kenny's suffering the strain of having to live up to his macho Christian values of "sticking it out" no matter how miserable it gets, and it's evident that he deliberately endangers himself for 'loved ones' in the subconscious hope that he'd die in the process. I have the feeling that he won't kill himself, but would just shut down and search for new surrogates to die for. I know less about Jane, but I get the feeling that she's also truly miserable about being alone and, after spending enough time with her surrogate sister Clem, would rather die than be isolated once more.
This is a moot point since they're determinant, so they'll die anyhow. But it'll be interesting to see how the circumstances change.
It does depend on circumstance. His 'sacrifice' for Ben really does come off as a way to absolve himself of the responsibility of helping Lee (he could have just shot Ben and ran back up with Lee), but if you had killed Ben then the circumstances behind Kenny's 'death' changes. When Christa is trapped, Kenny says "Me and my big mouth" and saves her mainly to not look like a hypocrite - the fact that he is separated from Lee is incidental rather than intentional.
Kenny was mad at Katjaa commiting suicide because he wanted her stick around and help the folks that they cared about IIRC and not take the selfish way out.
Kenny didn't have any family or friends left by the end of Ep 5 if Clem leaves him.
But Clem is still alive and safe, which has to count for something.
I agree with the Christa situation, but I can't see Kenny risking his life like that just to get away from Lee. It just doesn't add up. My Lee has always been there for him when he needed it, always looked out for his family, etc etc. It doesn't make any sense for Kenny to just try to absolve himself of responsibility.
Clem is still alive, but she just walked off into the blizzard with AJ. He doesn't have anybody left around to help.
It's only been a couple of days since he lost his family. He probably didn't want to be held responsible in the event that he failed to save Lee's adoptive daughter - better to abort rather than risk the possibility of seeing a girl die and watch his friend break down.
This makes him sound like a coward. God damn it, I really wish he stayed dead. Reviving him and turning him into Carver's successor has soured my opinion of him.
It may be hard to believe, but some people prefer to be alone. Only problem with Jane was that she let somebody in her life and the damage was done. After Clem was like a little sister to her, she didnt want to lose that feeling anymore.
Feelings... I hate them.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree.
Good post..... but jane wouldn't do that, she is hardwired to survive that one, no question about that..
The girl left her sister to die for gods sake, ...... and im not knocking jane here, because its the brutal truth of the world they live in now, but that was a choice she made.. and had time to consciously think about the situation.. You don't do somthing like that withought being mentaly strong and....... and coming away a different person..
The similarities drawn between katja and jane are incomparable, both completely diferent people but most importantly by a long margin is that katja is loosing her child, ive lost a child and trust me its a complete head bomb, its not on the same planet as janes situation, I can't even begin to explain what that does to a mothers head,
Kenny would im sure, hes out of gas and I dont think he could take that, tell you the truth I think he might even do it if you stay at Wellington......... jesus........ there's a thought...........omg what have I done? I think a replay is in order (
Hmm? Blizzard? I was assuming that we were talking about a different separation, and that the part where she calls out Kenny's name was in response to his reanimation.
If you're of the opinion that Kenny survived being shot, let's address that quickly and move on. I wouldn't believe it for a second that Kenny would somehow be alive and that the player wouldn't be given the option to reunite with him whether or not she forgave or left Jane. Clem walked away from that scene without any further interaction with Kenny, therefore he turned. Whether I can convince you or not, I won't accept any alternate explanations.
Feelings are what makes us human my friend
I'll just quote his recount of the event. He sounds relieved in hindsight that he was able to survive the experience.
"I got it into my head to try and save that fuckin' shitbird Ben. Then it turned into a damned cluster. Couldn't save the kid, but I got out."
I don't think Kenny is alive after being shot xD
I can see how you might get that from what I said, but that's not what I meant. If you shot Kenny, he is dead.
I was talking about the scenes where you let him kill Jane and leave him behind alive/go into Wellington without him. Clementine walks off into the blizzard with AJ, leaving Kenny alone by the truck.
Sure its nice to have feelings, but letting them take control of your actions is stupid. Kenny and Jane are good examples of this.
Yes! I thought the same thing when this happened. The way Jane spoke if you leave her sounds like she lost her will to live. I decided not to leave Jane just because I was sure she'd kill herself.
Welp, I just had to go look that up and watch it. That was fun.
It's a definite probably. But he can't be doing it to himself or running into a herd of walkers or purposely agitating other survivors. Suicide mission or badass lone survivor, final offer.
Nah.
I think they would both QQ and QQ more and maybe QQ so much that zombies hear their QQ and come eat them right in their QQing eyes, but nah, I don't think either would off themselves
Feelings make life worth living. I have clinical depression and generalized anxiety disorder but I wouldn't give up feelings for anything, man.
Seems like we have similar problems in life (i dont have depression though). Read what i said later in the discussion.
