I do feel kind of bad for the mods being repeatedly harassed by people who don't know how to respectfully handle an opposing opinion and the… moren expect them to act as their personal hit-squad.
I can't imagine how many times they've rolled their eyes from having to deal with reports from...certain people.
I just ignore them and suggest that other people try not to get baited.
Ordinary posters will be able to debate and discuss like grown-ups.
If i remember correctly you said some stupid shit in the past and got dowvoted to hell for it then got mad as hell and started insulting everyone and spam-making threads with BOAT BOAT BOAT and Kenny gifs. Come on Ben stop stop justifying your bad behavior and saying you asked to get banned.
Yeah I get what you're saying but still. The going with Kenny(the ending which I got) might be the most sane Clem Clem but I think it's still considered bad.
It's not entirely about safety but also Clementine's mental, emotional and moral growth.
The Leave Wellington Ending is the one where Cle… morementine is the "healthiest" and best positioned to become a happy, capable person.
The other endings leave her at varying degrees of broken.
Hail Arvo, full of chicken, the dance is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst Clukers and blessed is the one who died for you, Mike. Holy Arvo, Father of Mike, pray for us peasants now and in the hour of our fast. Chicken.
Because there are multiple definitions of the word bad, and the definition in question has been laid out in plain terms for you, yet you persist in raising the same points that have already been proven incorrect.
A "bad" ending, when using the term "bad" to include outcomes which have negative effects on the aspirations or goals of the central characters, can still be "good" for some people.
Chinatown has a pretty dismal ending which may be constituted as "bad" for most parties involved.
This doesn't mean the quality of the ending is bad.
Romeo and Juliet had a "bad end". Chekov plays normally have "bad ends".
But that's the point.
Am I helping you at all with any of this?
This combined with the OP gives you all the reasoning you need to answer your original questions of, "how can an ending you yourself picked be considered bad by any means?"
You bring up the fact that the apocalypse is ongoing after I already said this, which you never refuted or even acknowledged:
There are degrees. Just because the zombie apocalypse is upon the world does not mean that all people are experiencing the exact same trials and tribulations. To think such is to discount the entirety of the journey thus far.
Then you go on to say this:
Do you want to go with Kenny. Sure. Do you want to go with Jane. Whatever There's no ending where Clementine dies. There's no ending where Clementine takes over the world with her army of splicers. There's no ending where the Zombie Apocalypse ends and everyone is revived. There's no good or bad. Just whatever you think is the right thing to do.
Whatever you think is the right thing to do generally has to do with your perception of "good or bad." As such people are discussing their perceptions of the "good or bad" endings. A comparison to another game's endings, comparing Hitler to TWD does not change the fact that people perceived the endings in different ways. If in the moment everyone perceived the choices as completely neutral, neither having any good or bad implications, then there would be no discussion and there would be no sides in this debate. You admit it's a matter of opinion, and then you deny both opinions. You being indecisive does not change the facts.
Which makes no sense. I gave you a comparison of two games with multiple endings and explained why the two are different and why there is no… more good ending in Walking Dead Season 2. How the fuck am I "unarmed". You conveniently ignored this, but you probably know that already. Other example: heavy rain. All your characters can die and the killer never be found or they can all live and the killer can be caught/killed. Hmmm, which am I supposed to go for, I wonder.

no u I also love how you're bringing up my points against me for some reason? Like when I said people choose their own endings and have different perceptions of the other endings meaning that there is no standout bad ending, but whatever. It's like talking to a brick wall at this point.

For what it's worth @Lemoncakes, I agree wholeheartedly with you in this thread. Everything you said makes sense, and while I can see why some people are saying that you've made this thread in another attempt to guilt people and try and make it seem like "your ending is best", I don't believe you're trying to guilt anyone. You're just stating that even if it's not the happiest ending where things look up, be it Kenny or Jane ending, all of the endings essentially, it's perfectly fine for us not to feel content with our ending because it's still kinda 'bleh' in our opinions. I hope that makes sense?
From what I gathered watching all the other ends, I agree wholeheartedly about Clem becoming the next Carver or a Carver like character in the Jane endings. I had this feeling when watching those ending that returning to Howes was just making Carver's logic come full circle and seeing that Clem was becoming a Carver like character, exactly how you described.
But whether or not we find the ending's depressing is totally up to us.
I don't know why would someone want this guy banned... can't we all be friends ? He's showing respect for the peoples that ended up with the "less good ending". And that's enough for me to respect him. 8D

The final image an unfocused dutch-angle shot of Clementine's back as she walks, in a daze, through the chorus of living death. Soulless, unbalanced, empty.
She actually looked really focused and determined.
And I asked to be banned after it, actually, due to the fact that I was going through a tough personal time and was letting it affect the way I conducted myself on the forums.
So yeah. Stop making incorrect assumptions. I have never been banned without me asking to be. It's qyuite funny that you think I'm lying about being banned voluntarily, but fine:
If you wish, you can ask blind sniper. He will affirm that I have asked to be banned twice.

This thread amuses me. So, Lemoncakes, what about the people who do not like Kenny, should they just stay with him for the best ending? Just curious on your viewpoint on this.
That was me.

I can vouch for this.
Also, I'd appreciate you guys letting off on Flog61's requested ban. What's done is done.
I can't exactly vouch for what Lemoncakes is saying, but what I choose to take away from this is that despite the endings(If you choose Jane or Kenny) being sad or not as hopeful as others, it's still a valid ending that we can walk away from. Because lets face it, to some people one ending might seem sadder and less hopeful than another, but as such it's still an ending. Like if you leave with just AJ, to me that's the saddest ending, but to others (a lot of people actually) they choose it because they thought it was best for their own reasons, and I won't argue with them about what they prefered.
I firmly believe everyone has their right to their preferred ending, things are too morally grey for there to be a right and wrong ending IMO.

i think i see what he is saying, i just don't think it can be said that kenny endings are happier for a fact, because i thought the Jane one was happier to me, but i wont argue people who think otherwise.

His post isn't even true, and yet you support him just because he follows you around liking everything you do.
I'm just having a cordial discussion with a fellow forum's goer, I'm not sure where this "support" business comes into it.
How am I supporting him? Spiritually? Emotionally? Holistically?

Okay, you don't get it. You don't get it at all. I quit. Buh-bye.

Not being sarcastic. I truly love your threads, Lemoncakes. Keep up the great work.

Up for interpretation, but the shot itself was out-of-focus, off center and slightly tilted.
Indeed. And I asked to be banned after it.

Depends. What's the criteria these people are operating on to decide which ending is the best?
their previous experiences with kenny
i think i see what he is saying, i just don't think it can be said that kenny endings are happier for a fact, because i thought the Jane one was happier to me, but i wont argue people who think otherwise.
