I'd like to point out that Carver was symbolic for the devil. He tried to corrupt Clementine (The Innocent) into joining his empire of darwinism and selfishness. It is said that Jesus would defeat the devil. Kenny defeated Carver in Episode 3. If you chose Kenny's ending he willingly sacrifices himself for his followers so thay they can be allowed into Wellington (Heaven).

No he's John the baptist. He was the first to take care of Clementine but Kenny (Jesus) came a long and became Clementine's guardian. Like how John was the first to preach then Jesus came a long and took that under his
