All of season 4 was about character development. If you prefer the game, that's fine but I can't understand people saying there is no character development in the show. Ive always thought Melissa McBride was excellent and the guy who plays Tyreese, blanking on his name right now, is a good actor too. I know him from the Wire. I care about all the characters. My guess was that you liked the shocking deaths. A lot of people choose that as the "only good episode" out of 16 and I always believed that it was because it was the most controversial and shocking.
And why do you think I like the Grove? It was good for me because both Carol and Tyreese acted spectacularly and both had to make a tough de… morecision. It was one of the few episodes to develop characters. The game is different because I actually care what happens to most of the characters. The show doesn't have great character development for me and the main characters pale in comparison to the game.
He will develop more and more into comic Rick. I don't think anything more. As far as the other characters go, Michonne and Rick might hook … moreup, either Glenn or Maggie will die (as well as Sasha and Bob), and I for some reason with every episode I want Daryl to die more and more so those annoying fans who are like "if Daryl dies we riot" can leave the fanbase.
Nah, the deaths weren't shocking to me because I knew from the comics that Lizzie and Mika were essentially the counterparts to Billy and Ben from the comics, it doesn't make it any less impactful though. I liked that episode because it felt genuine and you could feel the emotion through wonderful acting from Melissa McBride and Chad Coleman which made it memorable. There were some other good moments in the season; like when Carl thought Rick had died and was poised to shoot him, Michonne's flashback, Rich's speech at the prison, but I don't remember much else about the 4th season. My problem is that most of these characters simply aren't interesting to me or what made them interesting is gone. There is character development in the 4th season, but it's just boring to me for the most part.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They'll go to another place, lose someone, that place will get overrun then they will move on again. The show drags too much. Only good episode was "The Grove"
Fair enough, you have your own opinions. I don't necessarily agree but I won't say you're wrong. Thanks for reminding me of Chad L. Coleman's name. I just hear the complaint of no character development too much when the show has always been about the characters. That's why people complain so much that it's "too slow" when there's not enough zombie killing to suit them. It's been a favorite show of mine for the past four years so I can get a bit heated about it lol

Hey no problem about Mr Chad Coleman's name. If you enjoy the show then that's your "cup of tea", then that's fine with me. It's just not for me. (Then why do I still watch it?? hahaha)

I read the comics but I dont remember what significant events happened at that time. There was the hunters and Negan and Carl getting shot and what else?
I don't know why but my comment isn't appearing so if it gets posted twice sorry
nah it starts way before that there is a lot of looking … moreinto the lives of the people who live there and then later negan comes in
lets just say the group first gets there in issue 69 which was released in 2010 it is now 2014 and they are still there
at one point everyone thought rick had gone crazy there was the guy who beat his wife and kid, rick gets in with her, michonne gets in with morgan, morgan dies that is all i can remember

Nah, they only show the first three episodes. It was like that last year too. They just cram so much stuff into the trailer it looks like a whole season lol
You realize that by that logic, Clementine would never have become who she is now in the Walking Dead and would have died in Savannah directly after Lee's death since she theoretically never would have moved past her helpless child phase? Seriously, that point of view is wrong in pretty much every way possible, and showcases a complete misunderstanding of what human beings are like.
Carl was an innocent kid and Carol was a mousy, abused wife?
Yes because these people would not survive. No one would care about Car… moreol or her problems, everyone would be out for their own. Its such a bullshit story, you expect me to believe this battered woman becomes this ultimate survivor bad ass. I don't believe it, people don't change who they are.

So, par for the course for a Nate fan, I suppose.
You sound like Shane. And people do change, they adapt to the situation. Without her husband ruling over her, she found some strength in her… moreself. She had friends. Losing her daughter and her friendship with Daryl changed her quite a bit. No I dont believe for a second that everyone would be out for their own. Rick was keeping the group together and that's just not how he thinks. He was even willing to keep Shane in the group, this man who betrayed him and was trying to thwart him at every turn. Why you think Carl wouldn't survive when he had people protecting him, I don't know.
You sound like Shane
ok? I guess i can take that as a compliment because he was the only one on the show actually who was interestin… moreg on the show.
And people do change
No they don't. Maybe in make believe.
Cheaters will cheat
Thieves will always steal
Liars will Lie
People don't change only in fiction right. What do you think would happen if we didn't have cops protecting society. It would tear itself apart.
No I dont believe for a second that everyone would be out for their own
Well when your life is at risk, you worry about your self first, if you can help someone great, but don't expect help because you won't get it.
I have.
And his beard, (Andrew Lincoln's), even though it's fuller, still looks good to me.
When I have a beard, I normally wear it on the fuller side, hence my opinion.
I've watched all the way up to the end of Season 4.
And to my knowledge, Season 5 hasn't started yet.
Wait a minute, are you talking about Andrew Lincoln, or Scot Wilson?
I'll never understand this. Why does someone's fans make people hate the character themselves? Don't let how someone else view the character affect how YOU view them
I agree with you 100 %.
For example, I've read a lot of hate comments about Kenny, and yet I did not let them affect my view of him.
I like Kenny as a character, and I always will.
And in the words of Britney Spears: "It's my prerogative!"
I'll never understand this. Why does someone's fans make people hate the character themselves? Don't let how someone else view the character affect how YOU view them
I hope that Rick and Michonne don't hook up.
As it would be way to predictable.
Now Daryl on the other hand, and his relationships with Carroll and Beth were intriguing, cause you never were quite able to figure out what was going on.
Were they just friendships, or were they becoming something more?
Honestly, I don't really care whether they were one way or another.
But they did add to the intrigue of Daryl as a character.
He will develop more and more into comic Rick. I don't think anything more. Him losing his hand does lead for some interesting things in the comics though. But it's probably not going to happen, seeing as Kirkman has said that cutting off Rick's hand, while good for shock, has probably been his biggest mistake with the comics.
I was introduced to TWD through the videogame.
Having loved the story of the game, I decided to check out the series, which I also became a fan of.
But that's where it ended.
I'm not a comic book guy, I've never read the comics in my life.
Are these three pictures, all pictures of Rick Crimes from the comic-book series?
well yea all three are rick with the last one being what he looks like in the newest one
i would recommend you read them they are so much better than the show i'm not even a comic book guy either but twd and fables are two exceptions i just love them

I'll just say that the comics are so much better. Mostly because Kirkman knows how to have a quiet moment to learn about the characters. That, and Carl's not annoying. He's actually kinda brave.
So, if you want a good story with characters you actually care about, read the comics. They're all over Youtube.
Clementine
Is not a real person. You can't compare Clementine to how people would really act in a Apocalypse situation.
So, p… morear for the course for a Nate fan, I suppose.
Yeah, so what are you trying to say there, don't just say a little, If you got something to say to me than say it.
Comments
They aren't lol

I'm torn on the Daryl thing. I love his "brother" relationship with Rick but the Daryl groupies drive me up a wall.

i can tell you are gonna love when they reach alexandria
He'll lose his hand and grow a beard subpar to Kenny's.
idk it sure is a nice beard but it won't beat kenny's its close though
oh boy when we get to this point in the show....
Fair enough, you have your own opinions. I don't necessarily agree but I won't say you're wrong. Thanks for reminding me of Chad L. Coleman's name.

Negan? His bat was called Lucille right?
nah it starts way before that there is a lot of looking into the lives of the people who live there and then later negan comes in

Okay, I do remember those things. Michonne got around a bit, didn't she? Lol
The trailer practically spoils the whole first half of the Season. lol
Shh...Don't tell anyone...

I love Carl.

he is 12 years old.
Okay, you have a dimmer view of humanity than me, and as for Shane being the only interesting person on the show, yeah, that's all you.
Seeing what i saw in Iraq does that to you.
I don't know how old he's suppose to be in the comics, as I've never read them.
But on the show, he's fourteen years old.
I have.
