Sorry you're wrong. If anything the game is ahead of the comic. Glenn, and Hershal's farm take place in the game before they take place in the graphic novel. In the game Glenn leaves the group to find his friends, where he meets up with people from the graphic novel. In the graphic novel the group finds Hershal's farm, that is then overrun with zombies. Also Lee wakes up from the accident as the outbreak is happening while the main character in the graphic novel has been in a coma while the outbreak has happened, and wakes up after it's happened.
So the graphic novel is slightly ahead if you want to compare timelines

I want new characters and new protagonist but i don't want TT to skip 8 years cause i think being in a ZA is alot about hope for things to get better and if we jump 8 years and nothing gets better then i'd say they're fucked and also it will be about survival only, and i'd like to think that in times like that having ppl you care about are more important then survival (even in RL some ppl 'survive' to live another day, i don't think an empty life will be worth living so yeah i hope there will be no time jumps)

1 or 2 year time skip would be considered normal for Telltale...but 8 years would not be appropriate for the storyline. More things can happen in 8 years than 2 years. For christsake Clem and AJ could be dead by then. So many details would be left out in those 8 years, and Telltale can't possibly help us in storytelling what happened during those years, it would take too long. The time skip between Season 1 & 2 with Christa was fine, but don't expect to see a grown AJ in Season 3.

That's why Clementine always manages to find a group to help her. Season 2 had to start with a good storyline, which is why Clem found Luke and the cabin group. Of course Clrm isn't going to be all alone in Season 3!

What are you talking about? The stories are no longer entangled. They aren't sharing characters. If zombies start talking, they simply ad… mored it to the game. What's the date in the game? I don't know. Notice they never mention the year? Unless they share characters it doesn't matter if they keep the same time line.
Well i wouldn't say useless... we got to be clem and we all got to have our own clem and make our own decisions. i'd like to think that it made me less naive about the situation, like my lee was a good guy and i stood by my choices, but if i'd play season 1 again my choices would be awhole lot different. so no, i don't think it'll make season 2 and 1 useless, and i kinda think it's time to move on. each of us got the ending they wanted for clem, now i feel like i'm realy for new characters to fall in love with

I don't really want a new start, I've grown attached to this girl that we've been taking care of and seeing her grow up from a child to almost becoming a teenager in the zombie apocalypse showing that kids can be (if taught) resourceful and helpful. Now we see her making decisions with others and defining her morals through certain choices that we the players make. To just drop that now out of no where would be pretty dumb if you ask me which is just my opinion, I think we should at least get one last season with Clem whether they time skip or not I want to know what happens with Clem to the very end and to me this season did not close her story to me, I believe she still has a bit to go through in her time as protagonist as she now has to take care of this baby boy who when it comes down to the wire will she risk her life to save him or leave him for geek food? Will she live a happy life with Jane and the baby (determinately with the family), with Kenneth, in Wellington, or out on her own. Or will what happens to her be like everyone else? We won't necessarily know that with what we were given in the endings of this season. Although I can see why you would want to see a new protagonist and new people and I respect your opinion as long as you respect mine
removing clem from the story in season 3 would be like telltale literally shooting themselves in the foot. if they go with a new protagonist… more we need to at least be in a group with clem and be able to talk to her about our season 2 choices. she needs to be a part of the game or myself and alot of others will be very dissapointed.

They can't just "add it in" because if the game surpases the comic time and the comic adds it in it… more should have already happened so therefore the time that it "happened" so to speak in the comics is a little before the current time in the game so it would break the universe!

Huh? I agree that we should keep playing as Clementine, but how would that be them literally shooting themselves in the foot?
Shooting with a real gun and making a mistake in writing are not literally the same things.
