MikonReborn here, talking about my closed youtube channel.
For those who don't know who i am, i used to own an account on youtube where i uploaded the soundtrack for The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. Although i proceeded to close down the channel yesterday. I thought there would be people who would be curious why did i do that, so i guess this forum is the best place to explain it.
I'm not sure in what section of the forum this should be in, because it is sorta TWD-related, but at the same time it's more of about me...so, i guess i'll let the mods decide that.
Now, when you start uploading videos on youtube, the point is to enjoy yourself, have fun with the content you produce. I never put a big yellow subscribe button at the end of my video. I never told anybody "Don't forget to like, favorite and subscribe!"
But what i did, wasn't very fun. Music uploading is strictly the kind of thing you don't do for yourself, but for others. And while it pleases them, it's a chore for you. Doing the same process of uploading 20 videos each month in the span of few hours..you can't really say you're having a great time with that.
The good parts aren't really worth it. Any decent human being can get a compliment through many other ways. And one could say, if i'm frustrated with trolls and douchebags and a massive amount of questions, then maybe this isn't the job for me. And that person would be right, because it's not.
I kept going in a loop about whether should i quit, or not for the past few months. I wasn't exactly sure what kept making me change my word, and then i realized, the fact that my channel exists in the first place, with all that effort put into it, it's kinda hard to let that go.
So, that's what happened. Without thinking about it too much, i proceeded to delete the channel. If i made another video announcing i'm leaving, as long as the channel exists with all those videos, i would get tempted to return back. It happened before. And it would happen again. And there's no way i'm able to return with my channel gone, that would mean i'd have to reupload about 200 videos. That ain't happening.
Sooo, now that now my channel is gone, where will people go to get the game's music? Well, if you have the game, you can always use the Telltale Music Extractor. Easily googable. You can extract the music from the game that way, and listen to it.
Now, as for people who don't have the game, i don't really know what to tell you. If your friend has the game, you could ask him/her to get the music for you. That's about all i can offer.
That's about it. I'm pretty much moving on, i don't have any other youtube-related plans on me, right now i just wanna chillax. Perhaps you'll argue what i did was a hasty, stupid decision, but hey..what's done is done.

Thanks for all the work anyway man! I can totally understand closing everything down, I can imagine being harassed by trolls nonstop, will finally get to you. I've had all the music files extracted for quite some time now. I might have to pick up where you left off haha.

Shame man I liked your channel, but I understand the stress of it all can be too ridiculous. Thanks for all the good music you uploaded and those funny modded ones too it will be missed.

...no? How did you come to that conclusion from what i wrote? If i had no subs, then why would i make this kind of thread?
The point is, what i did was something people cared about, and i came here to explain, clearing up the fact that what i did, was plain frustrating.
No idea. I have no idea why this thread was created in this forum. Isn't there a thread i know we had one a while ago for lets plays or whatever.
Because a lot of folks would be curious as to why the guy who uploaded the soundtracks for Telltale's games has suddenly quit. I have 'no idea' why that deserves an explanation.
It's a shame, I really liked your channel and it made me discover great tracks from the game.
Aww that's too bad I loved the channel. It allowed me to enjoy the great music from the game. I will miss it very much. Is there anyway I can get the download link to season 2 episode 5's music though? I never got a chance to download them and would really appreciate it. Thanks for putting so much time into bringing us all the good music.

I understand why you did what you did, but I don't understand why you couldn't have just abandoned the channel, so we could've still listened to the uploaded stuff, even if you were no longer active on it.
