Why wasn't there a bullet choice in Season 2?

Remember in Episode 4 when you search those zombies and Clementine finds two bullets but never uses them. Why didn't she use them, what was the point of writing them in, was there going to be a bullet choice as two people need Clementine's help but she only has one bullet available, and it just got canned in favor of the actual release.

It was just a scene to show clem should be searching dead bodies for supplies. If every little thing we found came into use it would be a little coincidental, clem most likely threw them on the ammo pile once she was back with the others
That doesn't explain away why the bullets remained in our inventory at ep 5. Why wouldn't they just get rid of them. It seems pointless in programming something that was intended to be redundant.
Logically speaking it would be stupid to get rid of them. Like jane said , thing's aren't gonna get easier.
I wondered this as well, but I guess Clem did use her gun since she found those bullets. Searching those bodies was just a reason for Clem and Jane to bond and discuss survival tactics finding the bullets was just a gimmick you know to feel like you actually accomplished something.
They're red herrings. Most, if not all of the items you collect in the game appear to matter and looks as if they would be important in future events, but in the end they never matter much in the story whether you have it or not.
I wonder how many times they rewrote Season 2.
Have a good feeling it was something cut from the episode. Heck I heard that there was a way for Luke to survive at one point.
And the whole Mike fiasco with being able to shoot him on the PS3 version is also a good example. Seems plenty of content was cut from No Going Back. Still the best episode of S2 though.
I agree with you. I think the original ending was supposed to be Luke V Kenny. I think they rewrote the story constantly, at least 2-3 times.
First instance is when they decided to replace Carlos with Kenny. Carlos's personality changes from a aggressive hothead Latin man to a calm reserve obedient man who will slap his own daughter under duress.
Yes good example. I think this was the same thing on the PC the day it was released, and i know for a fact that they did change the wording on the choices the same day.
It looks like Clem used those to fight walkers at the observation desk/during the shootout/help Kenny in Ep5 and shoot him at the end (determinant). Guess they just disappeared from her visible inventory like did Sarah glasses (if you left her at the trailer park).
Off topic but your profile pic is insulting lee!
Well if you save Sarah in the trailer, you give her the glasses back, and they disappear from your inventory. If don't save Sarah, and leave her to die the glasses remain in your inventory until the completion of Episode 4.
That's what I'm saying.
It's majestic.
Do they disappear if you kill Kenny. I never killed Kenny so i don't know.
NO IT'S NOT! LIES!
I didn't kill him either. You're talking about bullets? They are invisible, like Clementine's gun, I don't think they showed up in Ep 5, we just saw Clem using these.
When Jane gives you the nail file the bullets briefly show up in your inventory and you can select them with a mouse but can't interact in any way, that's the last time they show up, I bet they were supposed to be used as a parting gift or something, maybe there was supposed to be a different outcome of the shootout if you give Jane bullets or she doesn't come back if you don't...ah who knows...
This necrobump, though.
