Season 3
What do you think will happen when they start out season 3?
Alone: I think this ending is figurative, especially since there is no choices involved in it. All the other endings have choices and dialogue within them.
So i think that., fast forward a couple days/weeks, and Clementine will be alone with AJ, the family/ 400 days group might possibly meet her as well. She may even be directed back up to Wellington.
With Jane alone: I think the start of season 3 will start up a couple of days/weeks after Clementine says "no" to the family, Jane and Clementine will then have to move on from the place and meet new people, possibly the family/ 400 days group, and even possibly go up to Wellington.
With Jane and family: I think the episode will also start up a couple of days/weeks after the family is invited in, and the place will be well-kept and they might meet more new people and start having conflicts, they might have to move north to Wellington.
With Kenny alone: I think after you and Kenny leave Wellington, Kenny will ask you why you didn't go to Wellington, and you will have to respond. Or the episode starts a couple of days/weeks later, then Kenny and Clementine along with AJ will be accepted into Wellington, and then the conflicts will start.
At Wellington with AJ: Again, i think that Clementine will start to get to know Edith and she will meet new people (obviously), then fast-forward a couple days/weeks, and Clementine decides to scout out for supplies or guard the wall, she will then shoot walkers and meet either Christa/Lilly/400 days group.
I think Wellington is a major part of the story, especially since there is an ending for it, i don't think telltale will make it be overrun by walkers like Crawford or Howe's, i just think that is just too predictable, yeah Clementine may be separated from the community but not like Crawford or Howe's.
So, what do you think?
Comments
Choices dont matter. Alone gets you right to the plot, if you were with Jane or Kenny they die and then you get to the main plot.
I agree with your comment.
However i think that the endings with Kenny or Jane will be interesting as it will add more variation to the story line.
I respect your opinion though
Well hopefully Clem won't be alone agian *cough cough omid and Crista * but maybe she will meet up with probably people she knew or remembered from when she was in 1st grade ( she was in the 1st grade .. Episodes later she talks to I think katja or crista About it I don't remember )
But maybe she will find avro which probably was killed ( maybe ) and Bonnie and mike ( also maybe )
That is an interesting comment, however i think that Arvo (if he is alive) might be the next antagonist, or maybe not, i don't know.
Thanks for giving me your opinion.
Oh, you know what would also be interesting, if Randy was actually one of Clementines friends in the first grade, and that would explain the significance of him looking back at Clementine if you reject them from coming into Howe's.
You welcome I'm so hyped for season 3 maybe it will be teenage Clem .. Who knows
Or maybe (fastforward 74 years) Clementine will have grandchildren!!
Don't read that last comment, it would be crazy for Lee to return though
(I know he has been confirmed dead by telltale, but they could be saving Lee for season 3...
Omg that's atucally a very good idea !!! Your fantastic I wish that Clem met friends before she got mature and probably they would add some play time scenes ( like the characters having a good time such as playing tag ... XD ) I love to see Clem happy
Watch telltale put that one in their notebook.
Oh wait no, i meant Gill, not Randy
Lol Clem's face when was that ? Is that a mod .. XD
It is Clem's face from episode 5 if you chose to calm down AJ by sticking your tongue out, it is most likely photoshoped into Clementines model
Isn't gill the little boy when you go with Jane back to howes with the 2 white parents ( I'm not being races)
Oh haha that's funny
Yes, i said Randy, his father, instead of Gill, also you are not being racist.
Oh thanks you think gill and clementine would be close friends ?
It depends on what the story writers do with episode 1 on that ending. Conflicts almost always arise within the walking dead video game, and that also would apply for season 3 as well. Here is how it might go:
After accepting them in, they get to know each other and their past stories. However situations might arise that tests each other character. I can see telltale doing something like this:
During a dangerous type of work, Jane and Patricia will be doing it, and something happens that causes Patricia to die, Jane might or might not try to save her. After that, Randy and Jane will start arguing and Randy will be extremely mad at her.
Who's side you take will decide how Gill views you, if you take Randy's side, then Gill will be happy with you and converse with you. If you take Jane's side, then Gill will be sad/angry with you.
It all depends on the situation. Something might happen to Randy that might cause Gill to be angry with Clementine.
So it's all up to telltale at this point.
Time has gone by, and you're at Wellington. That's where you start. Kenny/Jane will have died if you chose them.
Arvo would be a seriously weak antagonist. I hope they could find someone better than him.
Maybe, but that doesn't sound like that would be a good start since you would have to explain many things, and also what happened with the family in the ending with them in Howe's?
I agree that they will probably go back to wellington though, since it seems to be a major thing about season 2
True, but he may be a side-antagonist, or an antagonist that leads to the main one.
Just to clear things up, the wellington in episode 5 is Wellington, Ohio
Jane/Kenny dies 10 minutes into the episode and all endings tie into one storyline from there.
I would say it depends on the character, and yeah the story line must inevitably tie into a common place, or they will have to have like 3 different episodes for each choice.
That's why I think Jane/Kenny are out of luck...if they don't die their roles are going to be fairly small.
Yeah probably & hopefully she would be a teenager like 13 or 14
Or, maybe, since telltale is unpredictable, Kenny/Jane may have major roles in the plot of the first episode of season 3, and possibly, (not probably), they will survive all throughout season 3.
I wouldn't get my hopes up is all.
I know, i just threw that out there.
Or 85
Well, I guess they will find a nice solution to get into the new main plot. As long as we are to play as Clem again, I don't really care
I don't know, however here's how I'd probably write it:
With Jane and Family: Opens with Jane and Clem working on getting Howe's all set for long term survival. Things are looking up and both seem to be reasonably optimistic, except Jane's not sure the food stores will last long enough for everybody to make it till the next set of crops can be harvested. Jane mentions that at least they managed to find a lot of formula for AJ. Walkers attack through a location that the players saw earlier and took note that it was secure. Clem uses all of her bullets trying to fend off the walkers but they are forced to retreat to another location of Howe's, where the family is. Jane has an idea to make a lot of noise outside of Howe's to get the walkers out long enough to patch up the wall. The Dad repeatedly suggests that the place cannot be saved, and eventually cracks and admits to sabotaging the wall. He forces Jane and Clem to leave with AJ at gunpoint, but gives them some food and formula to take with them. As Jane and Clem are leaving with Howe's in the distance, you hear the noise that falls in line with Jane's suggestion for distracting the walkers. Jane reminds Clem that Jane isn't going to leave Clem as they are leaving, and that they will be fine. "It was probably stupid to try and hunker down anyway. It's best not to get too attached to any one location. At least they gave us the formula."
Jane and Clem run into a couple of guys driving a vehicle. These guys seem shady right off the bat. After a brief conversation one of the guys suggests that Clem and Jane "come along with them" eyeballing both Jane, Clem, and the supply bag. Regardless of what Clem says, Jane refuses, and tells Clem that these two give her a bad feeling. The two guys get out of the truck and say that they'd rather the two come along willingly and pulls a bat out of the car. "Ya'll are mighty pretty. Would hate to damage those pretty faces of yours. Just come along and you'll be fine." One guy tells the other to grab "the rope" out of the back of the trunk. Jane tells Clem to run as the two men attack Jane. Clem does run. A short way away Clem has the option to hide AJ and go back for Jane, or to keep running. If you go back you see the car speed off, but there's no sign of Jane.
Clem heads north and ends up in Wellington.
With Jane and no family. ^Same as above except that running into the family after the walker attack is a surprise. The dad makes it clear that Clem and Jane left him no choice and forces them to leave at gunpoint.
With Kenny, the opening scene has Kenny teaching Clem how to hunt, how to setup traps, and other such things. Kenny seems confident that they'll make it so long as they stick together. You get good scenes of exchanges between Kenny and Clem that make the player feel good about going with Kenny. Kenny and Clem get approached by the same two guys as in the Jane openings at some point. They ask if Clem and Kenny are from Wellington. Kenny says that they aren't, but one of the two says "Bullshit. Look at what they've got. They're setting up hunting traps for fuck sake. They've gotta be from Wellington" The two men attack. Kenny tells Clem to run. Clem runs away, has the option to go back for Kenny; you hear the car driving away and there's no sign of Kenny. Clem heads back to Wellington and they let her and AJ in.
^If you're in Wellington you're out with somebody who is teaching clem how to set traps and who plays the exact same role as Kenny in the ending above. The key difference is that when asked if they are from wellington the person Clem is with says that they are, and asks if those two are from (name of a group that the player hasn't been introduced to yet). The two say that they are and then attack. Person Clem is with tells Clem to run. Clem runs back to Wellington.
If you're alone you open with Clem raiding a minimart and finding formula and a stockpile of food that "should last us a while" (Clem's words). This opening has almost no dialogue and should rely on Clem's emotional state (determined, frustrated, lonely) to draw the player in. It has Clem feeding AJ and setting up a makeshift barricade that she supposes will be good for at least the night. She heads north and ends up in Wellington.
^^Take note that you've only really got 3 openings here with slight variations to save on production. Each opening establishes a lot of what is going on in a brief amount of time and in all three Clem ends up in Wellington without Kenny or Jane, though the fate of whoever was with Clem is "alive but off screen." The run time for each opening should be between five and ten min taking up a small portion of the first episode. The rest of the episode can kick off from here.
That is an awesome way to start the episode, do you think that Nate and somebody else could be the two people? The thing is that the longer we stay in the apocalypse the lesser amount of people there will be, and they may have to start recycling characters so they can keep things a little more realistic. Any way, that is an awesome way to start season 3, good job.
What was your ending?
You know i bet the telltale writers are listening to this very thread right now....
Thank you. I was thinking Nate, yes. Depends on if they could get the VA again.
The main idea is that you can continue Clem's story and make it interesting without having it cost a fortune. Three well crafted openings that last 5-10 min each, with minor variations, all pointing to a common plot point won't break the bank if it's done right and can still make the players feel like their choices from last season mattered
I ended up with Jane and AJ and the new family at the end of season 3. It is indeed tricky trying to get into a new main plot with lem due to the many options at the end. Either telltale comes up with different intro stories that all eventually come together ( I cannot imagine them producing 5 different episodes 1 of season 3). But it would still be possible to continue with Clem e.g. Letting her start off completely alone. Later on we could find out what happened by her just telling someone new her story. Then they would just have to produce. 5 different scenes in which Clem talks.
That would be the easiest way I guess which doesn't mean that I wouldn 't like to have a more complicated start actually showing what happened.
Hello. This is my first comment on this site. I've been a fan for some time though. My ending was with Clem and AJ walking through a sea of walkers. Pretty epic, but I was very upset that I shot Kenny. I had hoped that the shot would only wound him and prevent the death of Jane saving them both. Of course he died and I was so angry with Jane at instigating it that I left her. I am playing through a second time and I plan to stick with Kenny. My plan is to play as many scenarios as I can to experience season 3 in as many ways as possible. I think it would be so awesome for Telltale to step out on a limb and make season 3 a completely different game based on your season 2 ending. In other words, no plot converging. Let your decisions in season 2 be the butterfly that flapped its wings, forever altering the course of Clementine's life. Obviously this would be a huge undertaking and if something like this was done it would probably have to be the last installment of the series. I think a time jump is a good idea. What would be a really neat idea is to make a young AJ the playable character at the beginning of the game and place Clem in her 20's in a Lee type role for AJ. Eventually older clem becomes a playable character as well. I'm so excited. Lol.
So.... you want them to make three different... whole seasons????
lol, sorry pal, not gonna happen
Nice.
