Thoughts on Carley's death.

I want to hear about your guys thoughts on Carley's death (both).

  • She had to LIVE!!! I hate Lilly so much
    ...

  • In a split second I went from liking Lilly, thinking that she's alright; rough but not a terrible person, to wanting to watch her die in a fire.

I've never seen her first death, to be honest.

I love how you have "Carley's death" in the title, yet you have a spoiler warning. Pretty G.

Anyway I think she was kinda dumb for egging Lilly on in a time where she was obviously losing it. Calling her a bitch was just not that smart. I guess it fits with the girl who didn't know how to work batteries.

On the other hand, Lilly was not justified in shooting Carley for no reason other than she thought that someone was a traitor. She acted without thinking and some people do that. I think she gets too much hate for killing Carley but it was murder in cold blood and that was unforgivable in the moment.

EDIT: I forgot Carley could die in the first ep, because I didn't even consider saving Doug. Anyway, her situation wasn't as bad as Dougs though, the walker only had her foot, she could have kicked it. Doug was being pulled out the window! It's a little far-fetched that she couldn't kick the walker with her other foot.

  • Pretty sure everyone here has played season 1 episode 2 by now

To put it simply Also you should change the title to avoid spoilers.

  • I was pissed but it provides a reason to me that it was right to Saltlick Larry :)

  • I saved Doug, so....

Anyway, his death was great, saving Ben before he died, a true hero.

  • Well, you never know.

  • Better late than never...

Seriously though, I don't think it was 'bad' from a plot-wise viewpoint. It pushed the story forward. Unlike Nick and Sarah's death, they died just to die. Their death didn't change the plot in any way aside from a few extra lines of dialogue.

  • I wanted a shoot lily option.

  • I was shocked and then i was really angry and sad.

    Rest In Peace.

  • To be fair, she got like that from watching her dads head smashed in right in front of her. His brain chunks and blood now splashed on your clothes, seeing his lifeless defiled body in front of you, someone that was okay and fine not just an hour ago. You trapped in a room with two or one men who just did it still wanting to get out as fast as possible to save HIS family.

    That would do some shit...

  • True, but Others have had to see things like that or worse and have handled it better than her, so to me like carley said Lilly seemed to be a "scared little girl"

  • I stared at the screen and said "Oh."

  • Remember Lee in S2 E5, he was talking about Lilly and she was just broken, that doesnt mean what she did wasnt wrong but it helps see why she did it.

  • Actually, I saved Doug at the drugstore. But its still sad when Lily acidentely shooted him.(she was aiming Ben, but Doug push him out the way)

  • VERY shocking, definitely didn't expect it. :(

I know I already posted, but this is how I felt about Lily:

  • I saved Doug so uh... Yeah...

    Doug died a fucking hero.

  • I know and agree with that I'm just saying I don't think she handled it as well as other people who have had to watch their family go through gruesome deaths.

  • Well I think...bang...

  • I saw that coming. Not to Doug in particular, but Lilly was a bomb waiting to go off.

  • Well when i was playing it for the first time, i was pretty much bummed out because now Lee wasn't going to get laid with either Lilly / Carley. Now (two years later ) Carley is rotting on the side of the road waving at people as they drive by, and i am OK with that. I've moved on with my life and she has with hers. We sometimes write letters back and forth, but since she got addicted to H, she hasn't wrote since September of 03.

People are still talking about Carley's death

  • Meh. Even though I always save her in EP.1, I've always been kind of neutral on Carley. Beyond being a good shot and a possible romantic interest for Lee, there just isn't anything worth mentioning with her IMO. I'm one of the few that liked Lilly a lot more. But that isn't to say that I wasn't shocked and horrified by what she did. However, that has more to do with WHAT she did rather than WHO she did it to.

  • She is my second favorite character in the whole series. She shouldn't have died!!!

  • I was very shocked.

  • We all handle things differently, her way was paranoia. She felt like everyone was out to get her. The only people she trusted was Katjaa, Duck, Clem, (determinant) Doug, and (determinant)Lee. When it came down to it, she was ready to protect the ones she trusted, she was wrong but I understand why and forgive her.

I understand but I kind of hate her for doing it in the first place, Yes she had her reasons and I'm pretty sure most people understand why she did it, But it's like Arvo shooting Clem, Despite their reasons people are pissed at them, For lilly if we ever see her again I'm not sure if I would forgive her, It's been a long time and she's probably changed (if not dead) so It depends on how she would act for me...

  • You want to know something?

The Lee part in S2 E5, I thought it was about Arvo not Kenny.

    Just a fun opinion.
