Kenny attacked her. Kenny was going to murder her. He was bringing the knife down on her. You don't let people murder each-other. The right thing to do is to try and stop them.

Ben killed someone i disliked through his stupidity, he is a weapon. You just have to be careful that it doesn't go off in your face, but if your smart, observant you should be fine. I liked Ben, he reminded me of Otocon when he peed himself in MGS.
Ben might have gotten someone killed you dislike, but he also abandoned Clementine in middle of walkers. To me, he was was too big risk to keep around, i just wish i could have left him behind without killing him.
