Maybe this is why we are waiting a whole year for season 3
This is my opinion so dont hate please
I think we are (probably) waiting until december 2015 for an new season, and that is because I think that Telltale are waiting for the Comics series to get further in. As you know, Telltale games are following the Comics, so I think they will maybe a skip(or just getting like 1-2 years in, in the season instead of 3 weeks from episode 2 to 3.)
What do you think?

The comic is already 2 years ahead currently...
So is the game. The game is 2 years in.
Yeah, and the comic is 4 years in.
I am not following the comics, so I had no idea. Only know what somebody said to me.
Still... there must be a reason for waiting a whole year..
The reason is, cause it takes time to make a well thought out continuation, and so they can take a break, and because it isn't a walking dead only company.
Yeah, they're making two other games currently, Tales From The Borderlands and Game Of Thrones. It'll take a year for those two to wrap up.
They can already timeskip two more years in. They need a break for TFTB and GOT.
People always say TWD had too much of a timeskip but TLOU had 20 years. Lol
or maybe it really takes a while to create a game, even though is the same one, it is still a new season.
Ug, more waiting. I'll be on the forums the whole time.
Except it didnt.... The first scene was more of a flashback the real story only skips a few weeks in between chapters of the story, Joel and ellie's adventure is over about a year
Yeah it does, it says 20 years later.
The Last of Us has nothing to do with The Walking Dead though...
By doing a huge time skip in The Walking Dead, they're wasting a lot of story they could use in the time skip. So it's likely they're wasting it. That's not the same story for TLOU. TLOU kind of need the time skip to make it the story it is.
That wasn't their point. The point is, in TLOU the story only really started after the 20 year jump. The scene before it was basically just a short intro to get you hooked and punch you in the gut.
In TWD, it was just a jarring jump when the story had already begun and could have easily continued, and as a result left a few plot points like Christa's baby in limbo.
