Would you put Season 2 in the top 10 or 5 worst or disappointing games sequels of 2014?
I seen people not liking or finding this season disappointing. So I was wonder if you guys would put it this season on the list if it was really that bad for you?
I wouldn't. I mean it had flaws that could use work.

I would put it in my top 10 the only thing season 1 had that was better than 2 was Lilly .
Are you kidding me? This was one of the BEST story games out there. I don't see season 2 being a terrible story game.
Can I put it on my "Meh, not particularly memorable" list? Fits pretty good there.
meant this as a reply to the thread
Not in my opinion.
Season 1 was fantastic, and I feel it raised the bar really high, however when I review a game, I don't like to compare it to it's predecessor, because in my opinion it's very hard to re-create the same experience that you have already played through. Season 1 gave me an experience I never felt before in gaming, and I don't think I'll ever get that level of an experience again, because nothing is ever the same as the first time you try it.
Season 2 in itself was a game that I loved, and really enjoyed to play. I felt it was a good sequel.
Worst? Definitely not. Disappointing? Very much so.
Although I'm not sure how many sequels came out in 2014 anyway.
Not disappointing at all and very memorable. I don't see myself ever forgetting it.
Not at all.
Season 2 for me was one of the most emotionally intense games I've ever played. Sure Episode 3 and 4 disappointed me a little bit, but I thought the overall story of the season was every bit as good as the first. I just wish the overall execution of the characters outside of Clementine were handled a little better.
I enjoyed Season 2 more than Season 1. Guess that answers the question.
I don't know about it counting as a sequel. Should probably call it a remake. But Halo is a great game
Hell no, lol. This is a sequel done right, many other stories can't make well thought out sequels like Telltale did with this.
lol The only reason you see a lot of hate for this season is, because it's the same people bitching about it over and over again on this website. They are very loud individuals, but they are not the majority. People have said their piece on why they liked this season and moved on to play something else or just waitin for more news. No game is perfect and you can't please everyone, that being said I found this season to be absolutely amazing and in my top 10 best games of all time.
Fuck no! I absolutely loved this season
For me, playing through it was actually more enjoyable than season 1 was first playthrough. There are some things to complain about thinking "back" on it, however first playthrough it was very very good. Better pacing, way fewer dialogue hiccups (places where people say shit that people just don't say, or places where the convo just doesn't flow smoothly), and a damn depressing theme had me reveling in the game the entire time playing it.
For me it's on par with season 1.
And now that you have me thinking on it... I might even put it in my top ten BEST sequels of all time
I wouldn't say it's better than season one with it's iffy writing at times, but is it the most disappointing sequel? Nah. A lot of things could have been done differently, but it's not the worst of 2014.
I can't express how much "this" your post is :P.
Not a chance. even though the season hit a few speedbumps that were a bit distasteful it was still TWD and it was awesome
Bruh
How about this?

I would put it in the Top 5... For Best Sequels of 2014
One does not simply say 'The Walking Dead' and 'disappointing' in one sentence.
Criticism is needed, and generally Telltale did not make a masterpiece.
Probably one of the most disappointing sequels ever made, yeah I'm not blinded by the hype or the main character nor am I blinded by the stupid love for a fan favorite, this was a huge disappointment.
Because you just played it a month ago, S1 is still memorable two years later.
Criticism is not repeating "bad writing" in every topic.
Hang on, is the choice A) top 10 most disappointing sequels or top 5 disappointing sequels?
No, not even close for me. Yeah I have some criticisms but I still loved season 2. I love how bleak it is. I love that it's different to season 1. In spite of some weirdness I still think the writing is head and shoulders above most writing in gaming. It has me thinking about it for days after I played it. I still think about it. Most importantly, I was sucked into its world and wanted to keep playing more.
So no, not anywhere near any most disappointing list for me. Bring on season 3.
Not necessarily. It had flaws, but if I think of it as its own thing, then it would be in my top 10 best. As a matter of fact, it's number 10 in my top 10 list for 2014.
Not as good as Season One, it had flaws but it was done right. It wasn't disappointing.
From like the 4 new Games I have played this year(TWAU included), TWD Season 2 was my favorite. Game was great, a nice 8/10 for me. Not disappointing to me at all.
[Pulls out a hatchet]
CHOP! CHOP! CHOP! CHOP! CHOP! CHOP! CHOP!
[Puts Episodes 1 & 2 and all the good bits of the other episodes into the 'Best Game of the Year' category.]
[Dumps the rest under the category 'Meh!']
no way even though this season had its flaws (season 1 had its flaws too it wasn't perfect) it doesn't deserve to be on a worst sequels or most disappointing list list
NOPE
I would put it in my top 20 favorite games.
If I enjoyed the second season more than the first then I'm logically going to remember it more than the first, don't you think?
The problem is, after the delight people ended S1 with, they had too high expectations for the next season.
I wouldn't say Season 2 was the worst sequel of 2014, but it is one of the more disappointing sequels that just doesn't have the same spirit the first season had. It's almost as if the writers and developers just didn't have the same enthusiasm with the story direction and the character development as they had with Season 1.
Episode 1 and 2 of Season 2, in spite of their problems, were examples of good Walking Dead episodes from my point of view and were shaping up to telling an exciting story with the conflict between two groups with dark secrets of their own...and then comes Episode 3 where it became a generic story about escaping from the clutches of the one-dimensional villain and his camp, and then comes Episode 4 where characters start dropping like flies with little to no acknowledgement or afterthought. Episode 5 at least tried to include the positive qualities the previous well-written Walking Dead episodes had to make for a fitting finale, but it came by too little too late and ended up rather underwhelming as a result.
I wouldn't say that I had high expectations with Season 2 since I understood that it would be hard to surpass Season 1 in quality, but Season 2 was lacking in certain areas and left me a little more disappointed that I thought I would be.
It's better than your constant boot licking of Telltale and loving every decision they make.
Or you know, episode 3 just killed the season.
Its No Mass Effect 3
Not actually sure. I went to Basic/AIT as I'm sure you know, and I haven't plugged in my xbox for like 6 or 7 months
PS: Don't have a PS4 do you?
I'm saying this again, episode 3 was the best of Season 2 to me.
