Probably one of the most disappointing sequels ever made, yeah I'm not blinded by the hype or the main character nor am I blinded by the stupid love for a fan favorite, this was a huge disappointment.
Episode 3 is the one that actually got me into TWDG in the first place, lol. I watched some guy playing it and ended up getting really hooked into the plot despite not knowing anything about what happened beforehand or having any background information on characters. Without it I'd never have gotten interested, so naturally I love it.
While I did find it slightly disappointing it's one of my favourite games of the year so far, I think liked Wolf Among Us more though and that was this year too, in any case, it would be in my list of disappointing games of 2014 because honestly I haven't played many things that came out this year, so it gets to be on my best and worst list, but my opinion of it is mostly positive.
Oh please, I just choose not to add to the constant bitching that you tend to create all over this website. I won't say this game is perfect, but I am not going to add more fuel to the constant flaming. Also, I can't believe I have to defend myself for liking TWD on this website I find that very strange.

I'm not blind, Season 1 has flaws, but does some things, MUCH BETTER than S2. If you say that, then maybe S2 lovers are MUCH MORE blinded because it's a sequel and two fan favorite characters take the spotlight.
Nope. You're just blinded by your season 1 love. You love it so much that you aren't as bothered by its flaws. Season 2 did a lot of things better but you since you don't care as much about season 1's flaws you hold it waaaay above season 2, when out here in reality they were both excellent.

Psh! Whatever! ME3 gave you choices that MATTER! I mean... think about it? At the very end you get to decide which color the explosions are! How cool is that? Nothing like that in Telltale games or any other games.
And the "readiness" stat? Brilliant. It acts as "proof" that your choices matter. Who needs to see Shepard fighting alongside her makeshift army anyway when you can just glance reference the readiness stat and know for sure that your choices were important? I mean... you still save the galaxy even with really low readiness... BUT THE STAT DOES GO UP WHEN YOU DO STUFF! Raising stats is what "matters" to most gamers so there wasn't a single better way that EA could have made the player's choices matter!
Never owned a Wii. After the original Nintendo owner died and his son took over I don't like the direction he has taken the company. The games may be good, but the systems don't impress me and seem to draw me out of whatever I'm playing. Idk, I guess if I just had a controller in my hand that I didn't have to swing like I was whacking it I might get into it. xD
TLOU remastered doesn't interest you?! I love TLOU But yeah, there isn't much out for PS4. Likewise there isn't much out for Xbox either. As a personal rule of thumb PS4 usually has better exclusives. Xbox does have Halo, which is probably my top 5 favorite franchises, so I'll need to get an Xbox One when the Master Chief collection hits. I'm not sure about Halo 5, though. From what I hear they won't even be following MC's story (WTF??) but rather the officer from the live action movie they did pre-Halo 4 launch (Forward unto Dawn I think?). I. Don't. Like. That.
I hope you're right. I've invested way to much of my time and intent on a character to have him moved to a side character in the fifth installment. I don't mind the addition of Agent Locke, so long he doesn't take center screen and push MC's story to an interesting side act.
I read a tweet the actor/VA put out that said something along the lines of he was going to have some impressive weaponry and that he would be a Spartan IV when the game is released (before or during IDK, would be interesting to see the genetic difference in a pre-Spartan and post-Spartan individual).
How about this?

To be frank... they don't "need" to improve. Sure, it'd be great if season 3 was better than seasons 1 and 2, however if it's on par with both seasons I will be happy and so will 99% of the gaming community.
If you really don't like the series then don't buy it. Vote with your $$$.
There "are" things that I've complained about when it comes to both seasons, however I know myself. I'm a critic at heart. I cannot "not" notice things that are off in any medium, be it book, game, or movie. I did, however, very much enjoy both games. I will never forget them... seriously... Thirty years from now, if I'm still alive, I'll still remember and love them, and that's just not the case with most games I've played.
If you don't like the Kirkman style of storytelling then perhaps these games just aren't for you. I know people personally who just aren't moved by seasons 1 or 2, and find them boring (Cow oh dooty players, but whatever). It's just not for them. It sounds like they might just not be for you either, but for different reasons.
For me, both seasons pulled me in and wouldn't let go. Both seasons have been some of the best gaming experiences I've had in my life, and I've played a lot of games.
I love S1 of the TWD, S2 just didn't work for me at all, and if S3 is on par with S1, then I'll be happy, but if it makes the same mistakes that S2 made, then maybe this franchise can only work in small doses, I thought S2 was okay, just not anything worthwhile like S1.

I'm sorry but did I make you butthurt? You want flaws? The story in S1 is generic and predictable, some of the characters are bland, some characters decisions and actions are somewhat questionable from a writing standpoint, some characters are introduced then they suddenly leave, some of the acting is mediocre, but in my opinion, S1 told a tighter story and had better writing, S2 just has more flaws, I don't think S1 is a masterpiece, but it's an grand experience and it tells a good story, while S2 just failed to do that for me, and you're just going to have to accept that.

All games must be reviewed as they are upon full release, the finished product, flaws and all. That said, I'm not among those who were disappointed with S2. There are some choices I find zero importance in(such as the "Nurturing" choice), but that doesn't diminish the value of rest of the good stuff and the game as a whole. As an interactive pseudo game novel, Walking Dead deserves a spot among the top 5-or-10 games. And I do not mean "bottom".
I was deeply upset by pretty much all of the character deaths in S2. I experienced a mixed bag of sadness and anger, but that's a good thing. If a game can rouse that much of an emotional response, I call it a winner. Definitely not the worst.
I didn't say my opinion was better, I was simply telling you that I'm actually looking at flaws, calling me blind was completely stupid and only made you look even more ignorant and unable to actually critique S2 in my eyes.

Worst?
Don't make me laugh.
TWD seasons 1 and 2 are masterpieces. :P
You're blinded by something! That's for sure! XD
Wait... people didn't like episode 3? I loved episode 3
Just glancing over all the comments here, I think it is pretty clear that the people that actively disliked season 2 are a vocal minority
Tempted to make a poll, but I will hold off for now, as a lot of the hating has stopped.

Season 2 is one of the best sequels out there.
Though I'd put Season 1 in my top 100 bad prequel games.
With it's rank on 88.
I must say, Season 2 was disappointing, but not bad.
Next year is sequel year, let's see how Season 3 does.

That ending gave me a mental breakdown. GREEN BLUE RED, WHT DO I DO SHEP
Good to hear it guys, Episode 3 is the whipping boy of Season 2, along with Episode 4.
We clearly have two very different opinions about this game so lets just agree to disagree and move on. What do you say?
There's no need for sugarcoating, if people keep boot licking this, Telltale aren't going to improve.
Actually no, the episode got a mixed reception, some hate it, some love it, some thought it was okay.
I'm not blind, Season 1 has flaws, but does some things, MUCH BETTER than S2. If you say that, then maybe S2 lovers are MUCH MORE blinded because it's a sequel and two fan favorite characters take the spotlight.

HA. No.
GOUSTTTT? Isn't he famous? How did you nab that name before the real GOUSTTTT?
And cool, I'll add you. When you upgrade we can play some games. Minecraft, talk about TWD, wait for S3..... all the fun stuff!

You getting Halo 2 remastered on Xbox One of 360?

I thought it was coming out on both consoles?

That ending sucked period and will be the last Mass Effect Game/ Bio ware game i ever buy.
It was so bad people had to resign over it.

Season Two wasn't even disappointing for me. Yes, there were more hit & miss episodes, but overall it was still a very strong season.
I played S2 immediately after finishing S1 and from the beginning thought it was equal. Season one had its flaws too you know.
