So, I got my mom to play the Walking Dead...

edited October 2014 in The Walking Dead

I got my mom to play the Walking Dead..and boy...let me tell you...

I knew I was in for a ride in episode 4, when she dropped Ben. And her reason?

"Ben was one huge fuck up, and he was gonna get everyone killed."

And then, episode 5 happened, and she killed the stranger in front of Clem. To protect her, which is understandable.

Then season 2, she told Walter that Nick was a bad person. And my mom said...

"Nick was just another Ben. He was an asshole with an attitude problem, and everyone would've died because of him."

Then, I was a little bit excited, because she pinky swore with Sarah, and helped her, and Sarah was her favorite character in Season 2...

Then she left her behind in the trailer. And she said,

"Sarah was a liability. She was going to get people killed."

So...yeah. She also went to Wellington..so there you go...she let one person live.

  • Well...Then...

  • Survivalist mother detected.

  • Seems like one of those "my parents are hip too" threads.

  • Nope. Just wanted to share that my mom made some pretty fucked up choices. That's all.

  • Is your mom very strict?

  • If you don't care you don't have to post on the thread, he just wants to share something that's all.

  • Nope. I was 12 when I first played Walking Dead, so no, she's not strict at all.

    Is your mom very strict?

  • If the apocalypse happens, stick with her bro.

  • Your mom is #1 Jane Material, except she's better O:
Like Nick said, if the walkers come around, better stick with her!

  • you got your mom to play the Walking Dead? Impresive.

  • Just a question.

Does your mother have any blood relations to this individual?

  • My mum played the walking dead with me, she influenced my choices a lot. She encouraged me to drop Ben and slap Sarah. It was really fun to play it together and now we have our own jokes. If she asks me to do something i'll say "You can't tell me what to do" and she'll reply with something like "Boat".

    I love my mum :D

  • My dad played episode 1 of season 2 and said, "Is Sarah retarded?"

    I smacked him so hard.

Him: That's funny, she looks like you.

Me: Yeah, because I haven't been saying that since it came out.

Nope. Her exact words after letting Jane die and finding the baby.

"You'd have to be a real bitch to hide a baby and start this huge conflict just to prove a point that I already know."

And she had this big ten minute struggle on whether or not to go to Wellington or stay with Kenny.

Just a question. Does your mother have any blood relations to this individual?

  • lol omg

    For not killing Kenny!

  • When my sister was watching me play, she was surprised when I chose to shoot Kenny. She was just like "Damn! He actually did it."

She also got teary eyed when Kenny delivered that little speech at Wellington. :'(

I doubt I could ever get my mom to play any game besides tetris, but a old teacher that I still converse with on fb played it.

He played it differently as Clem and Lee, as Lee he said he was a bit more of a hardass and as Clem he had laready decided prior to playing that he was going to have Clem not directly kill anyone herself. He ended up in Wellington.

"Kenny had run his course, he got closure and Clementine got a chance at safety," I think he said, translated to English

We had a long discussion about the Kenny/Jane choice with another of my former classmates as well. It feels different to discuss it with people you know in a isolated conversation as opposed to a open forum.
