Our S2 ending will be an important part of S3!!! Oh man, I'm SUPER EXCITED right now. I really can't wait for S3!!! XD

There will probably still be people saying this doesn't mean anything, But I'm telling you guys they won't ditch Clementine now, Especially since she has been there from Day 1 and is their most iconic character. She has to be in season 3.

  • Ah, fuck yes! I had a feeling Telltale would impress in terms of making our final Season 2 choice matter.

  • but season 3 won't come out till 2016 :(

  • Late 2015

but season 3 won't come out till 2016

  • Nothing confirmed yet but Im very excited to continue Clem's story hopefully around late 2015.

but season 3 won't come out till 2016

  • 400 days ending was also supposed to be "an important part" of Season2.

And we all know how that turned out.

  • Well depending on the ending, it got could either change where the game starts if we play as Clem, or how the player comes across Clementine in that world if we play as a new characters perhaps? Although, it might be just the smallest thing where Clem's back story is explained differently from the time Season 2 ends and to when Season 3 begins and we don't even see Jane or Kenny again :S

Were there any other interesting questions on that btw? o.o

  • They also said 400 days would play major into season 2 so its not wise to twist every random word they say.

Though to be fair I was almost sure they would continue her story, that said I hope we arnt playing as her again. Anything but that again

  • "Your season two ending will be an important part of it."

Yeah, it'll decide which five minute prologue where AJ dies will play before the time skip to a thirteen year old Clem. =P

  • I'm so happy to hear this but now the wait for season 3 has gotten a lot harder!

  • IS this for real? Not trying to sound rude or anything, but it's a little early to be deciding who our protagonist will be. As much as I want Clem to be the season 3 protagonist, I'm finding it a little hard to believe this particular photograph. I've been trying to look up this particular issue of Game Informer, but come up with nothing. If this is real, then that's awesome. If it's fake, don't toy with the Clem fans.

  • I'm pretty sure someone made a thread on the actual interview by game informer, so it is real.

  • Okay, you're right, but judging by what it said, it doesn't necessarily confirm that she will be the protagonist. I think that it is subtly implied.

  • I don't think they'll do the same move twice. TTG should be pretty aware by now of how peeved the fans got during the first 10 minutes of Season 2.

I hope that there will be a new playable protagonist for us to play as and that some endings will lead to him/her meeting Clementine and AJ.

I disagree. They already took the plunge when they decided to follow up the game that netted them GOTY awards out the ass with such a bone headed opening maneuver. If they were so willing to do that for such a lauded game that some called a masterpiece, how much risk is there really in repeating that technique for the far more polarizing follow up, especially when it has five endings they're gonna have to write around. The first season had one, and they wasted it. You really think they're going to do justice to five different ones in the same game?

Best case scenario is they'll devote the first quarter of the first episode to different scenes for different endings. I really don't think it could possibly be anymore than that, especially now when they're enforcing cost cutting measures like the 90-min limit and removal of hub like environments. They might just start far past all the endings at whatever new location they pick and have Clem hand wave what happened with a couple of lines dialogue. I doubt we will get a new protagonist either. They already know most of us will swallow all the nonsense that comes with playing as Clementine, there's not much risk in sticking with her and there's a lot of risk in switching off her considering some people are only interested Clementine at this point.

I'm not saying all this to be negative. I sincerely love to be wrong here on all of this, because that could mean something like S1 again, which I really want. But I just don't see it happening. It feels like everything it set-up against that happening again and considering S2 was successful financially, I just don't see them changing horses now.

  • Clem has got to be in Season 3 even if she's not the player character.

  • Why not mid 2015 as the earliest? It's wishful thinking but it's not as optymistic as early 2015 (I think it won't come out early 2015. Mid or late this year).

  • If I remember correctly then Telltale said thath 400 Days "might or might not be an important part of season 2". Now they said "it'll be an important part" so there is a little difference. Still it's too early to assume anything though.

They also said 400 days would play major into season 2 so its not wise to twist every random word they say. Though to be fair I was almost sure they would continue her story, that said I hope we arnt playing as her again. Anything but that again

  • No, it doesn't confirm that she'll be a protagonist but if this statement is real then it's probably safe to assume that there is a chance we'll see Clementine in season 3. Maybe as protagonist or maybe not.

  • I am pretty sure they won't do that, and I am also sure me and many other wouldn't like that. At least the "meeting Clem as a new Protagonist" Part.

Just look at how many kinds of Clem you can play. Your Clem can be nice and kind, sassy and sarcastic, stoic and depressed, cold and manipulative. If suddenly TT would force one personality on Clem many that didn't chose that particular Personality would be pretty pissed. Just look at how many complains there were about Season 2 having no impacts for your choices. Giving Clem a fixed Personality when before we could choose it would be terrible.

I don't think they'll do the same move twice. TTG should be pretty aware by now of how peeved the fans got during the first 10 minutes of Se

  • if Clem. comes back for SEASON 3, I thinks she'll be a teen-ager by now ;) Now that'll be COOL!

  • Yeah let's skip another huge and extremely important section of her life so we can get to the next zombie cliche and see her be a troped out, over the top little zombie killer again!

  • I want to believe, but it looks oddly tricky.

  • I usually try to stay neutral when there's little to no info, but I'll have to second that the alternate endings probably won't make a difference outside of the first episode. Not after season 2 needed to bring things to a status quo so many times within the same story arc.

And as much as I'd like to see the third season try to utilize the best parts of both previous seasons, I can't imagine that they would undertake several heavily divergent plot lines from the get-go.

  • if you are clementine that's great i think what should happen is she is a bit older and her personalty is different with the choices you make for example if you watch Kenny kill carver she could be more tough like Kenny and if you didn't she can be more sweet what do you guys think?
