My season 3 prediction
Just in case I can come back in a year's time and I turn out to be right. I've said Christa should probably stay missing but that was because if she turned up like Kenny did, it would feel too much like Kenny in season 2. But that assumes we're Clem and Christa shows up that way. So, my season 3 prediction:
We play as Christa and the season begins the moment Christa is attacked. The season plays almost concurrently with season 2 as we aim to find Clem. That way the endings of season 2 can still play a pretty important role while not needing a whole bunch of different stories at the start - it's about where we end up.
So season 3 is Christa's search for Clem.
Guessing others have speculated on this one before, right?

That would be cool but I don't think people want to let go of Clem just yet.
The Walking Dead: Season Three Also known as The Walking Dead: Season Lee the quest for Clem
lol
It would seem less emotional Christa coming back and in my opinion, wouldn't work.
Yes., people like Christa but Kennys "death" in S1 was more dramatic then Christa's (Not the characters fault) just poor writing.
But would be nice to know what actually happened to her.
Like KennyFollower said, people aren't going to want switch from Clem to any other character. She's the main reason why people are playing it and the only way for the reins to go to someone else would be Clem dying, and we all know how that would go down with fans, not good.
I'm actually interested in what telltale will do for Season 3. Season 2 you knew Clem was going to be the playable character but now after S2 with the different endings, shall be good to see where they go from here.
Anddddddddd you lost me
Isn't her main goal to go to wellington?
It's what she talked about in season 2, yes.
I love Christa, but I really would not like playing as her. I want to keep Clementine.
Yeah, it's clear people want to play as Clem and generally I do too (hence this being a prediction rather than a hope) but I do think there were a number of difficulties with Clem as the protagonist in season 2, mainly due to her age, and I think Telltale have now created a number of extra challenges for themselves by introducing AJ and giving us multiple and quite different endings. Of course they could ditch or kill AJ and they can quickly undo the endings to get to the same place (Wellington might be trickier) but that could make the end of season 2 feel pointless very quickly.
Rewinding back to Christa, an adult with a clear goal and a proven survivor, could remove those challenges. And actually, I think she could be good once we got past the idea that she's not Clem. If we did get past it.
It's quite likely we'll still be Clem and I do hope they overcome these challenges in a satisfying way. I'm sure they will. But still wanted to put this out there as I do think there is a chance a Telltale could independently arrive at a similar solution. Possibly. Maybe.
