Also, I don't want to play as anyone else we already have met, even if it was for only one episode. They are all established characters and it would be no fun.

I think it's impossible for TellTale to switch over to Lee. Because this game is original by using the decisions you make to change your game, therefore if you chose to shoot Lee, it'd be impossible for him to wake up from that.
Not exactly if you watch my is Lee really dead video I explain how Clementine could have missed. Also Lee tells Clem to close her eyes so if she did miss there is a chance she didn't shoot again because she may not have looked back.
