If Robert Kirkman wrote an episode for Season 3.....

How would his episode turn out to be?

The first couple of minutes would be good. Then it would drag on, get a little stale, and end on some kind of unrealistic twist.

  • It would turn out with most people dead.

  • basically.

  • I don't know, I haven't read much of TWD, but I thought volume 1 was pretty bad, not sure a comic writer could write a game with multiple choices, but I guess it would be interesting if he tried, I wouldn't be against it considering the game is based on his creation.

  • So you're saying he didn't ghost-write Season 2?

  • he'd recycle a scene from his stupid comics or make a shitty drug episode.

  • He would probably kill Clem.

  • shots fired

  • According to an interview, Robert Kirkman was involved with the story of Season 1.

He was NOT involved, however, with Season 2 in any way.

  • You shot ma dick off!!!!

    hahaha

  • Clementine brutally murdered half way through the episode in some highly excessive, obviously shock value scenario that lends nothing to the story but a bit of blood.

  • can you find the interview???

  • That makes sense seeing how Season 2 was so poor compared to Season 1 (not saying it was bad either, just not that good).

    • Everyone dies (almost): Every side character gets snacked up by walkers or shot in the face, main characters are killed off as brutal as possible (there will be blood...and gore, and way more fucked up things)

    • It ends on a cliffhanger that is resolved completley illogical, but harmless in the next Episode

    • No character development

    • The character act even more stupid than in the game

    • There will be a villain that curses in every sentence and is completley unrealistic and badly written

So yeah, you see, everything after Negan arrived sucked in the comics imho. It just turned completley stupid and over-the-top and had a shitty ending.

It was an AMA on Reddit. A quote of what he said.

"At this point, I feel like if I got too involved I'd just screw things up. I was slightly more involved in season one, I think, but really it was just a matter of me approving their story when they ran it by me. The team there did an enormous amount of work to get the tone and feel in line with what I do in the comics before they ever came to me.

Before we started season 2, they asked me a lot about where I was going in the comic and some things they should avoid, and I gave them some notes, but for the most part, those guys have taken the ball and run with it... to what I think we can all agree is great success."

Before some says Season 2 wasn't a great success, this was back when only the first two episodes of Season 2 were out.

  • Personally, I think the comics have been mostly excellent so this would be something I'd be curious about. But his involvement in the TV show hasn't been so positive in my opinion. I'm not sure what that comes down to exactly but I suspect it's the differences across media forms. He tends to go for a slow rambling narrative in the comics - the words make it sound like a negative but I think it works. And yet individual issues on their own aren't all that satisfying for me. There is barely anything in a single issue so you have to let them mount up. TV has to work in each episode or else you're just left with a feeling of, is that it?

So I have a lot of respect for what Kirkman has done but I wouldn't be convinced that he would add a lot to the medium of games. He's a comic guy. Worth a shot though? Perhaps.

  • Totally agree on the Negan stuff.

  • Calm down he was just joking, no need to explain shit.

Yes. And about Rick being shot with an arrow that was supposedly prepped with walker blood, but turned out not to be.

And the time when Rick attacks Negan with a knife and then locks him up in prison, like wtf kill that bastard.

    There are more.

Lol... So you dislike the comics to that spiteful degree but enjoy the boring, (mostly) badly directed show? Not even worth arguing with Ellias, folks.

  • That may be the most condescending thing I've seen you say. Ellias is actually really cool.

  • You know, opinion is something people have. You should learn about it.
