Can you add a middle option? The answer isn't a Yes or No for me. I don't really care if she's protagonist or not. If she is, then cool. If she isn't, then doesn't matter, I'll still play. I'm Neutral on this.

There are actually dozens of reasons against it, search for the 'why clementine doesn't work as the protagonist'-thread, all valid reasons.
Totally NOT. I'm sorry, it just doesn't work for me the way Telltale handled her in Season 2.
I want Clementine to be there, though. Definitley. Just not as a PC, but rather a deuteragonist again like in Season 1. But I don't want to play as her anymore.
Yes, keep her the protagonist. She's just a kid. Her character development can really go anywhere at this point. And if they were to change the protagonist again, I'd think that as a more tiresome thread at that point. I want a consistant protagonist of this series, I won't be emotionally invested if we change the player-character every season. It worked transitioning from Lee to Clementine since you actually trained her and took care of her in the first season. There's no fabrication that would make it appropriate to change the player-character. And I especially don't want her as an NPC again. The story is personal at this point since we've been through a long adventure with her. I don't want to play as a new character who barely knows her while us, the players know her really well.
I'd prefer if we play as an older Clem in Season Three with her taking care of AJ in a symbolic way to how Lee took care of her. And honestly, I speculated this since Season One ended (when Christa was speculated to be pregnant) and that Season Two could be used as a bridging-gap season to that one wherein the Season would end with Clem alone with the baby. I've been saying this for almost a year. And well, one of the determinant endings actually has that happen, more or less. Just not Christa's baby.
The pros still outweigh the cons.
I want Clem to be in Season 3, but not as a protagonist. I think it would be better if Kenny or Jane (depending on what you choose) would be the main protagonist. If you choose neither, the the protagonist should be a new person we haven't met. 3 protagonists in Season 3 will make the game worth replaying, even if they go through the same places in Season 3.

I also want Clementine to remain as protagonist in season three. I won't say why because CathalOHara said pretty much everything what I think about this. The only thing different is that I don't care if she'll be older or at the same age.
P.S I think there will be timeskip between season two and season three. At least a few weeks or months. Or maybe they'll start it right after when season two has ended but with so many endings I doubt that.

I didn't see this thread, so didn't vote. I wouldn't want Clementine as the protagonist in Season 3, as I believe it would ruin her character. I think the volume of people in other threads who don't want her as the protagonist speaks for itself...
I think it's kind of situation 50/50. A lot of people want her as PC but a lot of other people don't want Clem as protagonist too.
Sorry, the thread was getting buried. I do recognize other people in other threads. These are the people who did vote so the majority wins it, but I see more people wanting Clem than not but, you never know.
Yeah not everyone voted though, and the thread was getting buried so I closed it, but it from what I've seen it feels like around 50/50.
yes i think she should remain as the protagonist it would be pretty dum if they didn't you cant just restart the story even if u are not clementine you should be aj its either one them her story has not ended

There's so much zombie fiction out there that it's all the same.
Clementine, however, has an ongoing story DEEP into the Zombie Apocalypse.

I didn't see the poll in time to vote. But I firmly believe that Clem should be demoted back to sidekick status. I definitely want her in the game, just not as the PC. Season 2 failed me on so many levels.
What's the point of closing the voting? Did you just want to end it before the percentage of people who didn't want Clementine grew higher? Just leave it open.

I am for Clementine to be the main playable character for season 3
To me it depends. I would like if she is, but I would want the taste of a new character. But if she isn't, then who are we going to play as? AJ? And if so, Telltale would have to skip time. But there are multiple endings, so if you ended up with Kenny or Jane, would they just be gone?
Either way, I think it just depends on how Telltale plays it out.
Yeah I figured lol. I just feel like people who say that aren't in it for the franchise, they're in it for a certain character, which bugs the hell out of me because they still call themselves "true fans" and whatnot.
I'd be open to having Clementine as the Protagonist again. But I am more open to having a different lead for Season 3 just for a slightly different perspective.
I'd like to see a DLC which introduces the new character and bridges the gap between Seasons 2 and 3. The decisions the new character makes in the DLC will effect Season 3 and not only him/her but Clementine as well.
Clem is what drew me in. I will probably not get a season 3 without her as a lead unless I see something i really like from initial let's plays.
Maybe they just want to show how much they care about the character or maybe not, I don't know. Maybe they are serious about it. For example, I'll buy season 3 even if there will be no Clem (or Clem won't be a PC) but still It won't be the same, kind of. At least for me. I mean it'll be definitely a different experience - playing as Clem vs. playing as a new character.
