Real life tough choices

  • Indeed. Quite insensitive and frankly, in my opinion, very deplorable. I'm an atheist. I'll argue with anyone any day over religious matters, but I would never go so far as to approach someone who has lost a family member and tell them that their loved one just doesn't exist anymore. Especially if I don't know one way or the other! If they are atheist then they already have the mindset I do, and it they aren't then I have no reason to suggest otherwise unless I'm trying to be an ass. That's... gah. Bad words coming to mind.

Zykelator did the same thing though, what if Megami believes in heaven? Stating that his/her brother doesn't exist anymore would be rude if he/she did.

  • It depends how Zykelator phrased 'Haven does not exist'; if she/he said 'it does not exist for everyone' then that would be 100% correct and 100% better than what George said.

Why wouldn't you want to join the army?

  • I didn't mean to turn this into a argument or anything.

In my opinion its all about faith. Either you believe or don't. As someone who seen a lot of shit, i just don't believe people vanish into nothing when they die. Everyone you love, you will never see again when they die. Its just my opinion, not trying to advocate my religion on anyone.

Whats the point of going to funeral? Your brother didnt exist anymore, its was a bit too late to say goodbye.

  • Well technically Goku could kill everyone in Avatar without even turning SSJ.

  • Back in high school, there were these two different clubs that I liked and we're starting at the same time after school one day. I tried thinking about which one to go to all school day long, and I didn't decide until after the final bell.

  • There is no point to expect such thing as afterlife to exist, simply because once your brains stop functioning, you cease to exist. After you die, its just the same shit as before you existed, nothingness.

And personally, i wouldnt want such thing as afterlife to even exist. Once i die, i want to stop existing.

Can you prove that? No? Then don't jump on people about it. If they're up for a debate that's one thing, but to tell them their loved ones no longer exist when you don't know that person or their beliefs is fucking ridiculous.

I doubt they could even kill Nappa or Raditz. Listen I'm not trying to start a discussion and I'm not a big fan of Dbz either but Dbz character's are OP. Don't be such a fan boy and face the facts.

  • The facts are the avatar has power over all facets of nature from the elements to spirits. Boom, dead blondie.

PS: I've never seen even a small portion of Dragon Balls. I really have no idea what they can do :p

    Can you prove that? No?

That is the part you focus on? Do you purposefully only understand what you want or is it not in your control?

Join the forum or not. Best choice I've ever made.

Seriously though. What side of the bed should I sleep on :/ (No I don't like the middle)

  • I don't see why looking at shit things in the world makes you believe more strongly that everyone goes to heaven and dances around happily.

  • One time my sister got lost and the last person anyone saw her with was her brother (She's adopted, also my cousin so that guy is my cousin, I call her sister because she's been my sister all my life and I don't care if my aunt is her biologic mother.) who was also a drug dealer, in any case I hated this guy so much and I was really mad so I grabbed a knife and went to see him, I started interrogating him normally but his refusal to answer me pissed me off so I pulled the knife out and pushed him against the wall and place the knife on his throat, he still insisted he didn't know anything so I just kept getting angrier to the point where I just wanted to shove the damned knife up his throat, so I told him I was going to kill him and he started saying that I was going to make things worse for everyone if I killed him, so I just stood there for a bit with the knife pushed against his throat until I calmed down and just let him go, it was so hard, I just really wanted him dead, the worst part is that he wasn't lying he really didn't know anything about where my sister was and she was just at a party in the other side of the country, a friend of her bought her plane tickets and she didn't bother telling anyone.

There hasn't been a single day since then that I don't think about this, I mean it was so hard to stop, I was going to kill him and it makes me afraid that deep down inside I might be a bad person, I'm probably not but whatever.

  • I'll pass.

  • Atheism is a world view, not a scientific one. You help prove that by what you state. As for scientific proof all you need to do is the mathematical probabilities of the universe expanding escaping the force of gravity during the beginning of the big bang. Combine that with the probabilities of life coming into existence and the billions of years of global stability required for dna to form. Also take into account that dna is written in a code that is so sensitive it's nearly impossible to imagine it working at all without an intelligence behind it. The mathematical probability of all these things coming together is beyond comprehension it is so remote.

  • Life existing in general if very improbable. There just happens to be trillions of planets so eventually that mathematically improbable chance is going to happen. Same with you. You are just one sperm out of millions which just happened to be the lucky one to make it. Probability for you to exist is insignificant, when you consider all the small things which had to happen in order for you to exist, yet here you are.
