I didn't rewatch the video, but I'm fairly sure this is the correct one. Your argument doesn't stand.

The story isn't as good as ATLA's definitely but it is really awesome. Also the characters from ATLA wouldn't stand even a close chance against DBZ's characters, they're just WAY too strong.

  • Why not?

You can never see the kind of thing's in cartoon's that you can see in anime and I love japanese culture. So yeah I wacth anime only.

  • You tried to cover yourself by using the word "full" but that doesn't negate the fact they still have "full" control over you. They don't like you? Pop. They want you to go to battle? Guess who's getting a weapon shoved in their hands. Then the only way you get out of it is if you actually shoot yourself, instead of cowardly threatening it. (DISCLAIMER: Not telling you to shoot yourself.)

  • You should.

From all the conversations I've had with you, and all the conversations I've seen you in, it seems more and more obvious that all you do is strive to make yourself seem smart. But you being of completely average intelligence your arguments usually fall apart quickly. You then blame it on others not understanding and the like when the truth is it's you who is lost. Once you've lost your points you quickly degenerate into name calling, passive-aggressiveness, etc. It's pretty sad actually. So when you see a topic you think you can manage keeping yourself aloft in you pounce at the chance. Which brings us to the aforementioned occurrence, because when it comes down to it you had little reason to tell the other person their loved one was gone unless you were trying to prove a point. If they are atheist as you then their mindset would be the same. Otherwise you're just trying to be a right arse and/or trying to make yourself look intelligent via a simple topic.

  • ATLA has a lot of very mature elements to it. Much more so than most blood and gore anime films, actually. Government corruption, manipulation, death, torture, war, love, sex (though this is vague), child abuse by parents, disabilities, and the list goes on. If you like good story anime you should give ATLA a go.

I have seen few episodes of avatar and Korra and I didn't like it at all. I know its popular but its just not for me I guess. If its not made in Japan I just can't watch it. Because it doesn't have the same " feeling" as anime (its hard to explain) I'm just that kind of guy xD. I don't get me wrong I don't blame you guys for wathing it but its just not for me.

  • It may seem kinda petty or whiny compared to the more serious things people have posted in this thread, but I'm deciding whether I should legally change my name or not, some time in the future. I've always hated my name because of how common it is (not to sound hipster-ish), and I feel like having such a common name has held me back from doing things or meeting new people.

Not really the point. George was simply offering a condolence of sorts. No one is actually looking to debate the legitimacy of an afterlife. I wasn't arguing for either way, only stating that Zykelator was bound to swoop in and make it a debate.

I probably shouldn't have even said what I said, considering it probably ended up sparking the conversation..

    West-Christonormative comments reinforce West-Christonormativity which isn't a good thing.

They were condolences, but they were generalising condolences which are just dumb when you could easily say something nice without assuming anything.

Well here you are wrong. I dont care what kind of impression i give about myself to others so why would i try to convince others that im smart? Its enough that i know it.

But you being of completely average intelligence your arguments usually fall apart quickly. You then blame it on others not understanding and the like when the truth is it's you who is lost.

If you are refering to the recent conversation with saltlick, i have already given reply about how he ignored 80% of the death scene in order to make an argument that "Carver didnt suffer that much". That was just one example how someone will just ignore everything i say or misinterpret everything i say, thus making the conversation annoying and pointless.

Once you've lost your points you quickly degenerate into name calling, passive-aggressiveness, etc. It's pretty sad actually.

I explained that he didnt read anything i said he he focused on small insult in the message, changing the subject of conversation. Of course i will get annoyed when someone ignores everything i say and then mock me.

So when you see a topic you think you can manage keeping yourself aloft in you pounce at the chance.

I comment on everything i find interesting enough. You have really twisted conception of me.

because when it comes down to it you had little reason to tell the other person their loved one was gone unless you were trying to prove a point

I guess im just eager to shove reality down peoples throats.

It wasn't even necessarily reinforcing any particular religion. The intentions behind the statement were ones of comfort and condolence. That's it. Nothing more needs to be applied. If you don't agree with there being a heaven, then great, good for you, move on with your life. Its seriously not a big deal.
