That is something I agree on, all war is caused by a break down of communication and understanding, us as humans want to be better we want to be on top. But what we don't see is what really matters, what we left behind the people we've left hurt. We don't want to see the truth, we hide from it because it hurts because its ugly. When the truth is were not better than anyone else. If anything, by acting like we are better is showing we are worse. The only way to progress as a human society is to find compassion to work together, put away old grievance's. I'm not saying that history should be forgotten, but only understood. But alas, that will never happen.

I know, I guess that's why I posted that nonsense, kinda glad nobody got mad because I don't want to be disrespectful but that's just the way I feel about God.
This sounds like an awful idea because I like to stay neutral and generally be nice and polite not to mention that I'm 100% on board with to… morelerance and I always try to promote them but... Fuck it.
Don't stay quiet, this place is and hopefully will stay, where people can voice their opinions on these types of things without judgment.

True enough, but I didn't get insulted so there is no worry with that from me. If anybody does get insulted, I hope they bring it up in a orderly way while being calm.

I know, it was just wishful thinking, it could be that nobody cares enough to read what I said and therefore they won't comment on it?
I mean it 's a fairly long and old thread.
Christian. At this time I belong to the Evangelical-Free denomination, but I don't know if that will always be my denomination, I'll always be a Christian, that will never change, but I might not always belong to the same denomination.
I'm an atheist, and a lot of my family is Catholic or Methodist, and I love pissing them off with this topic too. That's the kind of guy I am too I guess, lol.
I was raised as a protestant christian (I think..?). I have no clue what I would call myself now. I suppose I practice Christian beliefs to … morean extent, but I don't know if I can really give myself a label. All I really believe is that there is a creator who watches over us.
I have two triplet sisters who are atheist. I love pissing them off on this topic.. because I'm that kind of guy I guess.
A word of advice: Cherish your grandfather while you have him.
By that same token, do the same with your parents.
They're not going to be around forever, not your grandpa, nor your parents.
Treat them well, by being respectful, cooperative, etc.
Cause one day, they will be gone.
And you don't wanna have to look back and say: "I was such an asshole, the way I spoke to them, and the way I treated them."
Don't let foolish words and actions mar the memories you're making now.
So think before you speak; and before you act.
Listen to them when they're trying to give you advice, and heed the advice; even if you don't want to, as they're older than you, and have greater perspective than you do.
And by listening to them, you'll be happier in the long run, as you will have avoided many potentially bad mistakes, and won't have to live with the consequences of those mistakes.
I am a tolerant atheist. If you have a religion, I'm fine with it. If you try to convert me, I won't be happy. Basically, I'm fine with religion as long as it isn't forced upon me. Or, if it causes lives to be taken or lost.
But I have never held any interest whatsoever with any religious or non-religious group. And although I don't believe in a God, an afterlife, or even the inclusion of souls guiding our lives. I do somewhat hold to a pseudo-spiritual outlook. Believing that actions echo an eternity and faith of becoming a better human through the act of human decency.
Although that could just be my strictly guiding moral compass.
Not sure if anyone else will find this funny, but I have a link below. This is a video made by an Athiest Youtuber who is replying to the funniest and definitely most coherent person about morality and such. This may be extremely funny for you.

Yup...
You're absolutely right!
I enjoy talking with sensible people.
Thank you!
Me too.
I try to talk with regular people but they just don't understand me.
I'm insane...I guess that's why I understand. XD
Really? I'm sending these from a mental institution! Were like family...
Twins!
Yeah!
YES!
okay, i just wanted to not sound rude
I'm an atheist, never bought into religion. Too many plot holes.
I know, I guess that's why I posted that nonsense, kinda glad nobody got mad because I don't want to be disrespectful but that's just the way I feel about God.
In this place, voice your opinion...Unless, of course, that opinion insults someone directly.
Well I directly insulted God by calling it repulsive and disgusting, I'm sure some people would find that offensive.
True enough, but I didn't get insulted so there is no worry with that from me. If anybody does get insulted, I hope they bring it up in a orderly way while being calm.
Hopefully, or maybe nobody will care about what some random person in the Internet said and won't make a fuss about it.
That's funny...It's the internet, friend. Someone will get offended...Might not post it but someone will.

Yeah but it's an important thread...I remember when it was first created...It was nice.
Maybe, it doesn't really matter as it's merely a hypothetical scenario and one that could easily be ignored if it were to happen.
Truth...

I would associate myself with atheism.

Agnostic. I made a thread similar to this ages ago. Somehow it didn't turn into a flame war
