The fact that you can get away with making people miserable for being a minority and not get in trouble for it is what disgusts me. People have bullied me because they thought I was gay, and they weren't quiet about it. But nobody told a teacher, nobody said that it's not acceptable. ANd when I become hateful towards those people who make me dread school, I get told I'm the one who's being stupid and immature. And it's worse outside school. If you go to any area with lots of clubs and bars, you get a bunch of those idiots who think they're being smart by getting drunk and taking their shirts off and making racist remarks. ANd they get away with it. People like to think that Australia is accepting of all people, but that's just a dumb lie. Minorities get treated like shit and nobody even tries to put a stop to it. Pathetic.
And don't even get me started on how ignorant some people are. Young people are so concerned about getting wasted and fucking each other and cares so little for what's happening somewhere else that we're hypocritics for calling out the Americans for doing it. Nobody cares about anything unless it directly affects them. "ISIS? Who cares? They're not coming here." But the are here morons. ANy one of our cities could get bombed and nobody would care.
