Season 3 better not...

edited November 2014 in The Walking Dead

...have me (Clem) taking care of this dumb baby. Why didn't we get the option to abandon it at all throughout the last episode, there were dozens of places where I thought FOR SURE there would be the option to. Shit, we should have least been able to give it to Kenny and then split off with Jane. If we did that Kenny would have had no reason to get all aggro in the first place. That thing is walker bait and I don't see how it's in Jane's character at all to not instinctually get away from it as fast as humanly possible. This problem has such an obvious solution.

Plus I HATED Becca AND Alvin right from the get go and now I'm stuck with their lovechild? This is the REAL nightmare, not the zombies.

Ugh. Babies. Gross.

  • Oh man... I can already feel all the hate you are going receive on this forum.

I believe the writers said something like "Clementine isnt at that point, yet" about leaving the baby behind. I sure hope there is an option to get rid of AJ in 3rd season.

Yeah, but I mean... I'm pretty sure Jane was. And if they travelled nine days back to Howe's with AJ intact then I don't see why they'd decide to change their mind anytime after that. Looks like they're in it for the long haul.

  • My Clem has Humanity and therefore will not leave the baby or kill it.

  • HEY! Babies are cute.

  • Yeah I'm not denying babies are cute but it's not worth a) having it not stop crying and luring a herd to eat my face off or b) changing diapers.

    Is that a fact?

  • Well Jane cared about Clementine enough to risk her life at the ice if she fell thought it so i guess she was going to tolerate having a baby around, for Clementine's sake.

  • I guess.. I'm still a little weirded out by her coming back. Not only did I feel that her leaving Clem with the nail file was more poetic (as much as I loved Jane and that made me really really sad) it seemed more in character. And then when she came back I was relieved but also felt pandered to. I'm not sure. Agh.

That statement isnt even debateable, since most babies are indeed "fat" or just chubby. Or if you are talking about the other meaning, babies puke, pee and shit all around, so unless you are into emetophilia, scat and watersports, they indeed are gross.

  • Well she realized that she wanted to look after her. The main reason she left was because she didnt want to see Clementine die and she didnt want to get hurt for losing people she cared about.

  • I was a little wary of that to be honest. I thought she came back for Luke at first and I'm not ashamed to admit I had a bit of a little sister jealousy thing going on which speaks wonders to the absolute tremendous quality of writing in this game.

Of course I then indirectly killed Luke and Jane was unfazed so I believed her again.
